9-1-1: Mixed Feelings (2023)
Well balanced very enjoyable from all angles
A very well-balanced episode! Lots of humor, the well-known 9-1-1 weird and wonderful calls, some emotional moments...enjoyed it a lot! The fathers and sons recurring storyline is nicely started with the Buckley-Diaz family, continued The Denny storyline (this is one I'm enjoying, although Denny in jeopardy is not my fav) and tied up in the final scene with Buck and Christopher who are now canonically pseudo father and son. One would hope that Buck and Eddie (casting unashamed heated looks all episode) at some stage would actually see each other. The sl I didn't enjou was the coupon lady - arresting her in front of her little boy was unnecessarily harsh and should have been approached better. But this overall is a fac episode!
9-1-1: In Another Life (2023)
Well balanced
I loved it. So well thought through with the easter eggs. Oliver Stark was excellent. The seemingly perfect tied up ending was weird, but maybe rather ominous. It was too perfect. Definitely some question marks arising which are likely due to be answered in next episodes. One is Eddie - he couldn't even look at his best friend in the ICU. It's bound to come up in Buck's healing. Also Christopher's 'can you help me find my dad?' Followed by Buck's 'Sorry you're not real and I have to go...boy am I going to feel guilty about that one'. And Buck's parents vs The Couch...very curious to see how that pans out. But all kudos to Oliver Stark's acting.
9-1-1: FOMO (2022)
Well-balanced episode
Long overdue focus on Henren. Overall good combination of call-drama (the mom scenes were devastating), medical detail and main character focus. Interesting subtle narrative regarding the continued red line of the 'heart'. Eddie's progress is still the highlight of the season.
