Mako Mermaids (2013)
Great show, and definitely recommended
I love anything related to the sea. I had never seen H2O, but I decided to give it a chance. I loved Ivy Latimer (Nixie), and was sad to see her go after 1 season. Lucy Fry (Lyla) was good. The only season one mermaid (except for Zac and Rita) was Sirena (Amy Ruffle). Isabel Durant (Ondina) was pretty good. Allie Bertram (Mimmi) is one of my favorites. Chai Romruen was great playing one of the title roles. Everyone is great (although Ivy was my most favorite, and I wish she didn't go so soon). The one thing that doesn't make sense is the whole "mermaids don't go on land" thing. Sirena, Nixie, and Lyla use their moon rings to enable them to walk on land(have legs). However, it is uncommon for other mermaids to do so. However, we can clearly see Veridia constantly going on land. This is, however, with the exception of Rita, Zac, Weilan, and Evie. All in all, good show with lots of drama and laughs.
Read It and Weep (2006)
Zap, zap! A great TV movie!
I had never read the book, but I gave it a go. It was great! I thought it was very well thought out, and quite good for a TV movie. It's simply a movie about a teen girl who writes her journals in book form, and it accidentally gets published. It follows the rise and fall of her book, all wrapped up in friendship, drama, humor, and parties. It's very realistic. It's very down to Earth. I love how it becomes like when Harry Potter was released, everyone goes mental over it! All things considered, great film, not to be missed. I'm surprised that it didn't get released as a big Hollywood blockbuster. I'll have to read the book to see how similar it is to the movie, but I'm guessing it's very similar. I love Kay and Danielle Panabaker in this film! They are great as their roles as Jamie and Is! All in all, great TV film.
Matilda (1996)
One of my favorite movies ever
I read the book of Matilda, and was amazed when I saw it on amazon. I watched it, and was literally amazed at how epic it was. I was very pleased with the acting job. All the kids, even though they were small, were great! I saw Matilda on Broadway, and was almost driven to happy tears. This movie really makes you feel for Matilda, and feel for Ms. Honey. The Trunchbull is mean, scary, and cruel. She is always displayed like this, and I think that Pam Ferris was great! Plus, you can never beat Danny DeVito, and he is perfectly fit for the role as Mr. Wormwood. Bruce is always meeting trouble, and Jimmy Karz plays that perfectly. Plus, Ms. Honey is played as the opposite of the Trunchbull, and Embeth Davidtz played that perfectly. All things considered, this is the perfect movie to watch over and over. And when your done, consider listening to the original Broadway cast recording.
Minor Details (2009)
A Better Movie Than people Think
When people first look at this movie, they think it's ridiculous. But, it's actually not. I watched this on Netflix, and I fell in love with it. It's a simple story about four girls trying to solve the mystery of why is everyone at Danforth Academy getting sick. Paige (Caitlin E.J. Meyer)teams up with Abby(Kelsey Edwards), Clair (Danielle Churchran), and Taylor (Lauren Faber) to solve a mystery with clues that no one saw coming. Jennette McCurdy is pretty great in this movie. I love how it revolves around these teens. What do the KIDS think? The KIDS solve the mystery. The movie is all about them. adults are mainly background. All things considered, this is one of my favorites.
Project Mc² (2015)
Smart is the new cool!
I started watching this shortly after Season 3 was released. I finished it in 2 days! It is so amazing! It proves that girls like science too. I can't wait for future seasons! Mika Abdalla is just fantastic as McKeyla McAllister! It just feels so real! This show definitely gets 10 stars! I highly recommend it! Every actress and actor are so great playing their roles! Now, I really want to learn a lot about science, just like these girls. I can really see why everyone loves this show. Every episode is beyond amazing. Also, their sense of fashion is incredible! They are so fashionable! Plus, McKeyla's lab is amazing!! 10 out of 10 stars.
E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial (1982)
My favorite movie!
E.T. is one of those movies that just keeps getting better! Elliott is very lovable and so are his siblings. E.T. is an amazing movie that is highly recommended! It's the story of a lonely boy, who happens to encounter an alien. E.T. can't be sweeter! It's my movie choice whenever I'm bored. After watching the movie for the first time, I was instantly in love! Now, I've watched it so many times, I lost count! Steven Spielberg did a fantastic job on this film. All the actors and actresses are great. Henry Thomas(Elliott)really is just great in this film. Drew Barrymore(Gertie)is adorable in the film! Robert MacNaughton(Michael)is really funny. Dee Wallace(Mary, but know as Mom)is perfect for the role as their mother! Peter Coyote(Keys)is a character that is serious, and keeps me on the edge of my seat! Everything about this movie is pure gold! Highly recommended!
