Everything Everywhere All at Once (2022)
Unwatchable, how did this get an Oscar?
We're in a multi-verse where a movie like this gets an oscar, no plot and no story, 2 hours of violence and camera spinning around and endless visual effects for no apparent reason. There is definitely something wrong with the academy's voting system, and to give so many oscars to one movie is just beyond unfair. What does anyone even see in this movie, I only watched until the end to see if any meaning could be extracted from this mess of a film but nothing. I enjoy all styles of movies including action an specially martial arts, but it even failed there, the moves were all so manufactured and nothing felt real.
Mécanix (2003)
Perfection
What a perfect surprise this film was, I saw the incredibly designed poster on kanopy and was hoping for something unusual and creepy, but didn't think the film would match the perfection of the poster to this level. Everything I've ever wanted and more was in this film and done to perfection, the visuals, the colors, the cinematography, the music, the background sounds, the acting, the animations, and everything else were all amazingly done. Every second of this film was heaven. Creepy gore realism, not cheap horror, well done. I enjoy watching many genres of film and its been hard finding films that send a chill down your spine once in a while, this one did, and I couldn't take my eyes off the screen for a minute. "The Womb" or "Clone" is another good and unusual film I liked, also similar to the smiths "how soon is now" music video.
Nightcrawler (2014)
Excellent unpredictable
Great acting by Jake Gyllenhaal. I totally believed him as the character. Movie keeps you on the edge till the end. One of the best movies I've ever seen and trully original.
Souvenir (2019)
Fantastic movie with lots of twists
Unexpectedly brilliant. Not sure why some people gave it a low rating, this movie had it all, twists, character building, and a great finish.
Boyhood (2014)
My life is a 100x more interesting than this
I can't believe this movie was made and presented, I had to turn it off, how could it be about nothing at all, and follow the most boring lives of the most boring people ever.
Liam: As It Was (2019)
Trailer was all you need
Sorry Liam, I love you but this movie wasn't needed and didn't work, a short interview would have been enough. I had to fast forward after a few minutes in to see if anything good was coming up but nothing, the 2 minute trailer is all you need and even that maybe too much. In contrast I loved Oasis Supersonic documentary, well made and highly recommended.
A Monster Calls (2016)
The dichotomy of human
So beautiful and so much learning to be had from the stories about the dichotomy of human nature, that most people exist between good and bad, there arent may pure evil and pure good people.
Supersonic (2016)
Fantastic, Well made.
Captured the band at their best, nostalgia. Funny, smart, real. Loved it.
Who Is America? (2018)
A Genius & Sociopolitical Game Changer
Sasha Baron Cohen's work is remarkable, I always praised the genius of Borat, but never thought he could deliver it at such high stakes, cleverly manipulating the heads of state and to do the unthinkable while keeping a straight face through it all. This goes down as one of the best works in history.
