Flat Earth: To the Edge and Back (2019)
"I believe there is no earth!"
This mockumentary is the greatest thing I have watched ever.
Sonic the Hedgehog (2020)
More like "Trash-Panda: The Movie"
Terrible film. Waste of my money. I ended up walking out as well, first time I've done that. The film heavily relies on stories and references from other films all of the time. The acting was terrible and not believable, the characters were overused and cliche.
I respect the VFX department for changing Sonics look to be a little more normal and realistic looking, but even then the CGI wasn't that good.
This isnt worth your money or your time. Dont watch it unless drunk ahah.
Friday the 13th Part 2 (1981)
Better than the original Friday
I enjoyed this film a lot lot more than the original, this one had a better story-ish and better cinematography. The pacing felt a lot better, it never dragged on for too long but I wish they made it a bit longer, and added in some more suspense and enigma.
The kills were a bit boring in some places, I liked the fence wire kill but i thought the rest of them were meh and they could've shown the kills at least from a different angle or made them a little longer. It annoyed me when Jason killed someone then the music plays then cut after 2 seconds, then it moves onto a different scene.
The dialogue is so poorly written I thought Jason was just gonna kill the characters then and there, the jokes they made weren't funny, I get that it's not the main focus but jeez. I kind of liked Ginny's dialogue at the end, It was a bit meh but at least they tried doing something to get Jason to stop.
The characters are boring and there isn't really anything too them, I didn't feel that sorry when they got killed off.
I dislike the ending, Jason didn't need to come back onscreen for another jump scare, remaining the original. They had the chance to have a low angle on his hand and make him crawl forwards for a few seconds. That makes you want to see the next one.
Overall Thoughts:
The film was good and I forgive it's issues, It is my favourite Friday The 13th film so far and it's the one i have enjoyed the most.
Rating: 15+ - 7.5/10
Jumanji: The Next Level (2019)
7.5/10
Better than Welcome to the jungle but not as good as the original. This film was really good but not an 8/10 good.
Destroyer (2018)
more of a 7 but...
I'll gladly forgive this film for it's issues but i really enjoyed the story and the ending.
The first 20 minutes of the film is a slow-burn but after that it finds it's place, but the pacing did take me out of the film a couple times.
The story did intrigue me, i wanted to find out why this person was killed, (Not a spoiler) and the make-up for the ageing up of characters was done interestingly, they didn't use CGI, they just used make-up/practical effects.
This film is definitely a 7/10 but again, i will forgive it's issues because of how much i enjoyed it and the last 20 minutes were just amazing.
Will i watch it again? maybe, maybe not.
A Ghost Story (2017)
slow film but a good film
I would've rated this a 9 but the party scene where a guy monologues about science was utter crap and completely useless to the story and insanely cliche to have in a sci-fi type film. also it was too slow in some places but i did like some of it being slow, if you cut 15 minutes off including the party scene it would be a very good film.
Boku no hîrô akademia (2016)
It has the potential to be great
The pacing is awful, character development is nowhere to be seen, the soundtrack needs a lot of work, the animation is poorly done and the tone is so off in most places. It's way too tame. even the action isn't that good, the characters don't progress at all and I'm bored with Kachan or whatever his name is, getting whiny and angry all the time. it takes way too many episodes to get somewhere, the plot is boring. I do admit there were a few good episodes and characters, I love the last two episodes, those were the best out of all of them. I've only watched the first season but I don't think I'll watch season 2 or 3. it gets a 6.5/10 for me. and side note, Deku's english voice acting is terrible.
Insomniac (2019)
This is my film
So, Hi. I'm the director and all that, this film was for my college project. bare in mind if you do review this, it is my first film ever, i plan to make my films better and better and i hope you guys enjoy them. have a good day.
Severus Snape and the Marauders (2016)
absolutely terrible.
This is far worse than both fantastic beasts films and order of the phoenix. probably the worst adaption ever.
Star Wars: Battlefront II (2017)
meh
Decent campaign, terrible offline play and awful multiplayer. the open beta was awesome, i absolutely loved it! but then the game released and it was terrible. the combat is horrendous, graphics look gross,i prefer swbf1 graphics more. could've been so much better. don't waste your time or your money.
Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald (2018)
Disappointing
Late review but who cares. So this to me was very disappointing, the visuals and the end were cool but the plot was just filler for the sequel. This is the worst wizarding world film to be made. I wish they added more to the plot because it was so so so boring. The first film was boring but I enjoyed it more, also I hate the fat American muggle guy, he's so annoying and I hate the American girl that loves the muggle. Wish they kept Colin Farrel as Grindelwald tbh.
Venom (2018)
Why all the hate?
It wasn't bad, but it wasn't good. It was fun and really enjoyable. It was a bit short and didn't feel like a 15+ it was more of a 12+ and there was no horror in this film. I hope it does crossover with the mcu and there is an extended edition on blu ray.
Leatherface (2017)
not bad
I see why people hate this film but i enjoyed it, i kinda feel they went slightly over board with the sex and gore, i didn't know who leatherface was till the end of the film. they should've had better characters and a better story but it was entertaining at least.
Dark Legacy (2017)
Not bad. Quite enjoyable.
This is a entertaining star wars fan film and one of the good ones, the special effects were better than the prequel trilogys effects. The story is one that I'd like to see in a star wars movie, my only problem was the ending, I didn't like the duplication of the master. If they had 20 then it would be okay but I found it a little tedious. Other than that, good lightsaber fights.
It (2017)
Better than the old one, but less scary.
First off this is a great movie but... its not that scary. There were a few moments where I jumped but not a lot, I would've given "it" a 9 if they actually made it a bit scary. Definitely a good watch. I cant wait for IT part 2 too come out. Hopefully the director makes it better than this one, what I mean by that I want it to actually be scary. Id rate this a 13 to 14+.
Stranger Things (2016)
Best series in the world
This is the greatest TV show in the world! S1 was amazing, enjoyable to watch, intriguing story and amazing characters! S2 is so much better than the first one, new cool characters, fun action and the cinematography, oh the cinematography is incredible in loads of scenes! Favourite cinematography part was when Hopper goes into the tunnels and the camera slowly goes upside down. Cool atmosphere in that scene! Watch this right nooowwww!!!!! I'd give this a recommendation of 13 years old. I cant wait for season 3!
Baywatch (2017)
I really don't get why it has such a bad rating.
**SPOILERS AHEAD** This is a funny/action packed popcorn flick (that means its good and mindless *cough*) there are about 38 f-words, 45 if u count the rest in the end credits. Not bad for a rated r movie, I would've had 19 or less because they weren't necessary, and 12 s-words. The violence 2.5/5, quite tame for rated r, its comic moderate slightly bloody violence. Its not frequent, until the last 30 minutes. Sex/nudity 2 to 3.5/5, there's one scene which takes place in a morgue, and as a joke Mitch asks Brody to lift the dead guys taint, you see the mans scrotum for 25 seconds but doesn't fully show it. Then while brody does that Mitch takes a picture and posts it to social media. A few dick jokes which are mild. I really enjoyed this movie.
It (1990)
This is not scary.
It, One of Stephen kings best novels, it is about 7 kids called the losers club, in the 60s having fun in summer. Before summer ends they start seeing things/day dreams I think, and they see IT aka Pennywise the child killer clown. I cant say anymore because I don't want to go into any spoilers. violence 2/5, the violence is mixed, it can be slightly bloody and stupid and comical, the worst is when bullies throw stones at kids, I'd rate it pg to 12+. Language/sex/nudity 3.5/5, there is no sex only kissing in part two the boring part of IT. The language is mainly PG but two bullies, call a black kid the n-word 3 times, all in all PG/hard12+. The first part of it is good and the second part is boring and terrible, but you have to watch it. I liked this movie it was fun. Good for a family watch.
Pacific Heat (2016)
This is a poor series
I've never sceen archer but it kinda looks like it but different, when I first saw this on netflix I wanted to watch it so I did. It's really bad first 10 minutes I turned it off and watched something else because it wasn't funny and unnecessarily rude. Do not watch this and watch something good. it tried to be funny but failed and when you watch the trailer you want to watch it but when you do, it's just awful. I suggest you to watch archer because this is just a remake of it. The certificate/age rating should be a 15+ not a 12+.
