The Porter (2022)

Excellent piece of tv production!
26 February 2022
I thouroughly enjoyed the first episode, the historical accuracy is wonderful because I feel that there's definitely a room for genre that's partially educational. I'm an immigrant to Canada and always enjoy learning what things were like a century ago without getting a history lesson if you know what I mean. (Murdoch Mysteries style!)

I agree that cinematography is a bit dark at times but I think it reflects aactual nature of the conveyed environment-you didn't exactly have lots of bright lights in illegal establishments.

This show has great cast, writing, directing and I'm excited to see the rest of the season. We need more television like this.

Hilariously relatable

Aside from a few awkward scenes, this is such a funny show-as a woman slightly older than Nora I find this very relatable yet still entertaining. The ridiculousness of Nora's shenanigans is just hilarious! The second season is even better than the first. The whole show reminds me of when Niles from Frasier tried to iron his pants on Valentine's day and nearly burned the condo down. Love it, keep it up Awkwafina!

Ps The Grandma is a darn priceless charachter!

There are shows that make wish I'd won the lottery

So I can just pay to make another couple of seasons. This is one of them. The writing is superb, excellent character development, and cinematography is just stunning-especially colours. I also think it has one of the most empathic relationship stories. If you want to see a show about women who own their lives, this show is a must. For me, it's second Firefly.
