Terrible sci-fi, very good drama/mystery
21 May 2021
It's good. Cleverly uses sci fi and horror ideas and concepts to tell engaging stories without moving pictures. All voice acting is superb, except for Aubrey Plaza's, but I think it's because she was given the worst story in the worst episode. Some sci and horror fans will be deceived and the last episode will leave a bad taste in their mouths because the conclusion is a cheap, soap opera feel-good, but the stories are solid. Pedro across the street is a fantastic stand-alone episode. Don't expect solid sci fi and you will have a good time.

P. S. The sexism lecture in the last episode was very grating.

Watchable

This show is a clusterfu** of ideas and stories some of which are very good. Victoria Pedretti's performance, however, is criminal and she should be sued so that actors and actresses would never again indulge in overly emotional facial expressions.

The Invisible Man (I) (2020)

Needed a motive
5 April 2020
Warning: Spoilers
It is true that men obsess about things and people, but obsession must be grounded and developed to work as motive in a movie. Why would the invisible man, Adrian Griffin, go through all that just to mess with a woman in her late thirties? Why would Griffin, a man of science, want an older woman to bear his child? He's young, intelligent, successful, rich, and good-looking.

Some people are abusers because they are just terrible human beings, but for a guy who can build an invisibility suit, the drive must be matching.

Now, imagine if she had filed for divorce and took half his money or if she had stolen some of his ideas and made a fortune out of them, that would have given him a proper motive to ruin her life and would have made the movie a lot more palatable.

Are Americans beyond reform?
4 March 2020
Warning: Spoilers
First of all, great movie. However, after finishing it, I couldn't help but notice a bad taste in my mouth. I can't be reading too much into it because it holds its political message on its sleeve, or maybe it's way clever than this and is in fact sounding the alarm, because I hated that person taking over the house.

Brie Larson is simply bad, somewhere between terrible and bland. She's the worst thing about this movies and if it weren't for the not only great but incredibly charismatic cast she'd have definitely tainted this movies. That said, watch it.

Mediocre drama, above-average movie
28 May 2017
In art, it's never the topic, it's how it's presented, this movie is open to interpretation and its premise is really neat and original, however, it could have benefited from good character development, especially with Sudeikes at the top of his game, and a better female lead, and I liked Hathaway in Interstellar, but here she's annoying and not convincing, like a princess pretending to be an actress. I didn't like it, but I like that it was made.

What was the point of this movie?
27 April 2017
Warning: Spoilers
I don't mean what was it's message, that's the most stupid question to ask when discussing a movie, I rather mean why did the director wanted to make this film? Is it something Americans understand? It's a well-made movie, but I just couldn't care about any of the characters so I wasn't interested in how or whether they will survive.

Eddie Izzard: Stripped (2009 Video)
8/10
Eddie Izzard delivers his staple comedy with everything you expect and more
10 August 2011
If you are familiar with his work I guarantee you will love Sripped. From the Romans to the Greeks, and from evolution to Opera, Eddie works his comedy with dialogue, monologue and pantomime. Dressed as a gentleman this time, he is active, energetic, and it seems as if he hasn't aged a day since Sexie. Stripped opens up with London as it moves to cake to opera to dinosaurs, through different ages in history, ancient languages, religions, each with excellent ,brilliantly, written and acted situations involving one to many characters and animals as well. Eddie is well known for his pantomime, gestures, and it's not absent here. Almost all segments involve small scenes which are enacted with great proficiency and magnificently voiced, with sound effects no less. Stripped is great for a comedy night and an instant classic to watch over and over.
