Not quite sure why there's so much hate for this
28 December 2019
Other than the absolutely stupid last scene at the table which wasn't needed and the baby death which was also not needed (could have been implied instead) this isn't as bad as others have said. In fact I watched to the end with ease. It's a good premise, see what animals lives are like as they are slaughtered. Sadly it didn't make me not want to eat meat, though I can see why if you were thinking about it you might just stop. Other than the terrible actress who played Nora, I liked that the animal masks didn't speak. It made it much creepier and unnerving. In fact that was what made the film a 5 for me. If you had the usual hillbilly language of ma and pa it would have been one giant cliche. The filming was good and the sets and score were really good for a budget film. Other than a few bad moments this was definitely not the crap film I expected it to be at all. In fact I'd tell you to ignore the other review scores and give it a go.

Ignore the negative

This film surprised me. From the tag line I expected a film like the wicker man. It's not but it's actually really good. It's about redemption for past deeds. Despite at times being a bit slow it's actually a really good watch and deserves more than a 4.9

Black comedy heaven but terrible makeup
14 May 2019
This film, although advertised as a horror is actually a black comedy. It had all the hallmarks of a great black comedy - funny one liners, brilliant lead character (Paul flannery) and constant storytelling action. The one thing that brought it down to 7 stars was the god awful demon and ghost makeup. It's as if they hired a bunch of teenagers to do some holiday face painting. Maybe that was the look they were going for though?.... great watch when you just want to chill out.

People are wrong! This isn't bad
9 April 2019
People are wrong and I think over critical of this film. Yes the acting is not A* but it's good enough to keep you watching. The film itself is not predictable and you watch to see what happens... Will he be rescued by police or his wife? Will he escape? Will the killer have sympathy and let him go? Will he die? All these cards are on the table through this whole movie! Miss Barton is terrible as usual but plays such a small part it's neither here nor there. All those critics saying it wasted their time.. they still watched to find out what happens! :)

Really????.....

Literally the only thing good about this film is the music and doo-doo brown! How it managed to get a 5.7/10 I really can't figure out?

Fantastic film
20 June 2018
This film proves you can do "footage" films without them being cheeses or having sea sickness from dodgy camera movements. The idea that a found footage film could be based on photographs instead to me was innovative and brilliant. Kept me on the edge of my seat! Were they zombies, were they supernatural, were they real people dressed up to rid the town of immigrants? The only reason I didn't give it a 10 was that I would have liked to have a bit more of a clearer hint on what they actually were but that's just my opinion. For amazon prime freebies this is a brilliant film.
