Surviving Summer (2022– )

Nice little binge

Simply put I gave its a 9/10 because I enjoyed watching!

The supporting cast definitely made it for me, I loved every single character outside of Summer.

I just want more shows that are this wholesome and easy to binge whilst actually containing decent acting and dialogue and character development that felt real enough to feel satisfied and not weighed down by some cheap tricks and turns just to make the show more interesting.

* * * SPOILER FOR THE ENDING * * * Poppy and her brothers were definitely my favourite, I'd watch more seasons of this show regardless of wether Summer stayed put in NY.

Locke & Key (2020–2022)

The thing I find ridiculous about all of these reviews is that the people writing them and their main bone of contention is that the characters keep making decisions and doing things they don't expect... if they DID people would complain that the characters are sooooo predictable though.

This show woke my tired, dusty old imagination up again. It is so visually beautiful and the story so original that any character flaws and plot holes are easily overlooked for me.

Sometimes they (the characters) aren't very likeable and sometimes the actors seem to clang against each other at different frequencies and sometimes they don't meet up at all so a scene falls short due to the delivery, but overall I love this show so much and can't wait for a season 2
