In Her Shoes (2005)
a REALLY good movie for girls of all ages!
I loved this movie. I loved Cameron Diaz's smile and fashion but i didn't know what to expect from her in this movie. I was so blown away by how well she can act! She was so perfect for this role and she did portrayed her character so well. Toni Collette is her complete opposite and is also amazing. She captures her character so well that you feel like she could be some one you see every day. I could really connect with her on a few levels. I loved Shirley MacLaine and her friends at the "Retirement Community for Active Seniors." They were the kind of sweet people that you wished would be your grandmas and grandpas. What i loved most about this movie was that you (or i) never hated anyone in this movie. You know how in some movies, you get characters that you really really hate, well i liked all of the characters. All of them had their faults but they all had great things about them too. I really loved this movie and i am totally getting it for my birthday!
The Polar Express (2004)
Like a Christmas Tree: Between the Trunk and the Star, there were too many Ortaments.
I thought that this movie would be good. I felt it would keep to the book. When i saw the commercials i thought it looked really good, a little more animated of course but still sticking to the main ideas.
The beginning of the movie was good. It was consistent and calm. I thought it would be a nice calm movie that my whole family would like.
This didn't exactly happen. Within ten minutes of the movie, we meet ( cup of Joe) man and (smarty pants) kid. They both have no purpose nor are they characters in the book. I was very upset with that.
There is also a song just placed in the movie. This didn't make sense because it was not a singing movie. It should have been consistent.
I thought this movie would be calm but it was just crazy and boring with a lot of purposeless parts included.
I thought the ending was good but by that time i was so upset i didn't care.
If you would like to see this movie, rent it first!!!
The Wonderful World of Disney: My Date with the President's Daughter (1998)
eh, it's good for a boring day and a good laugh
this movie isn't that great...at all but it's good when you want to just laugh, because it's pretty ridiculous :) there are a lot of mistakes in it and it's cheesy. i got this movie for Christmas like 5 years ago but for some reason i've never given it away. i guess i just like it for a rainy day even though i only watch it like once a year. This is a very 90's movie so it's really funny to see how everyone dresses and acts. this movie is good for someone young...although come to think of it, i didn't even like it much when i was like 12 but that's just my personal opinion. the movie was really predictable. i wish it had had some extra weird twists but i guess it was trying to be an appropriate movie for everyone to enjoy. i think it was appropriate for the whole family but Hallie's dress was a bit unmodest but certainly appropriate enough for family material.
The Prince & Me (2004)
A royal flush...down the toilet
I seriously expected a ton of bad reviews because this movie deserved them. First of all it was completely predictable. i absolutely knew when the first kiss was going to come, and when all the break ups would happen. Second of all, the dresses that Julia wore in this movie were horrible. What on earth was the fashion designer thinking? And thirdly, both the characters seem really mean some parts of the movie. If you're going to make a romantic comedy, at least give us some lovable characters. I really was disgusted with this movie in the first ten minutes. I won't tell you not to buy it because i believe in free will but please just beware before watching it.
