Commitment Issues
30 September 2021
Warning: Spoilers
This episode started out with what was one of the coolest intros, leading into one of the coolest plots, and one of the most interesting worlds oozing with style and quality. And then less than half way through it turns into trashy over sexualized, annoying, out of touch teen horror. It's insulting to the people who want a mature story like the ones this show has been capable of telling in the past. Not to even say having fun or writing younger is bad, like 1984 had a lot going for it, but this cast, and this writing for the younger crowd feels exactly like what it is, non-gen-z-ers writing for gen-z-ers. I feel like I'm being talked down to, or like I'm watching a story made for pre teens. Aliens are cool. And I'll even give them credit making everybody pregnant was sort of an interesting way to go about the idea. But for the love of god, I can't imagine why the writers thought the first plot wasn't enough to keep an audience engaged. Just because it's black and white doesn't mean it's boring. This show just needs to commit, and follow through.

A Good Return for the Series
25 June 2020
This is probably one of the best spin offs I've seen of anything in a long time. It did everything a good spinoff should, it stayed true to the original source material, by truthfully putting a character we know well into a new situation. It felt like an episode of Adventure Time, which I think is the most important bit. It's a very charming continuation, with a lot going for it. The story didn't feel forced, or like a cash grab, it was genuine, and exciting. A good start to the series, and a promising look for what is to come.

It's a Slice of Life Fairy Tale About Hollywood in Crisis
17 January 2020
This movie is possibly one of the most endearing films I have ever seen. It takes you away from your surroundings, and puts you into the world of these characters like no movie has ever done before. It feels more accurate than reality tv at its most real. It a slice of life, and it was something that creates real emotion, while mixing action, with suspense, with a lot of really well timed comedy. It also has one if the best endings to a movie I have seen in a long time. It also goes along with the "Once Upon a Time..." narrative, being a fairy tale. Quentin wrote a positive ending instead of putting the real ending which would have been far more tragic. It is a masterclass in story telling, and leaves you thinking about a world where the 60's never ended. It's not for everybody, but if you want to leave your world for 3 glorious hours, there is no better place to do so.
