The Prince of Tennis (2001–2005)

Interesting

This show was entertaining and cute, but went on for way too long. I don't care much for the characters, but I don't dislike them. I feel like one season or one book was enough. Yeah, the story is interesting, but most of it is just playing tennis. It's cheesy and all of it's conflict and excitement so far is "who's gonna win??" The animation is okay (same goes for New Prince of Tennis) and the characters aren't bad looking. However, there are as many characters as there are episodes. It's so long, I had to drop it soon. It's not terribly written, I can imagine others enjoying it enough to watch the entire thing. The voice acting is flawless and the music is really good. I will definitely continue to listen to POT's soundtrack, though most of it will go untouched by me...each of the millions of characters has like, what? Five albums each? I'm only really interested in a handful of songs, anyways.

Attack on Titan (2013–2023)

Amazing

One of the best animes/mangas ever created. The characters are original and very likable. The animation and voice acting are amazing, too. The plot itself is original and perfectly executed. Each episode hooks you in further, and the outcome is unpredictable (aside from the identity of the female titan, which was pretty obvious in my opinion). The songs are high quality and catchy---I could never skip the openings or endings. As to how anyone could not love this masterpiece is beyond me. I recommend this show to anyone who enjoys exciting anime and isn't bothered by blood and light gore. AOT also includes many reoccurring themes that I think are important (for example, how fear can affect someone). One last thing I should note is that Isayama clearly put a lot of effort and time into this. Instead of just throwing it together using his previously known logic, he got some professionals in fields like engineering to figure out how this world works, like the 3DM gear and the horse breeds.

Worse TV show I've ever seen
3 August 2017
This garbage is the worse thing I have ever laid my eyes on. The only reason why this show doesn't have a 1 is because it at least made an attempt at addressing serious issues, and I feel like I should at least give it something. First off, the acting. It's over dramatic, unrealistic, way too forced and super cringy. The acting alone makes my brain melt. Next up, the writing. Every single person who contributed to this show's script are a disgrace to writers everywhere. The characters are stereotypical, horrifyingly annoying, unlikable and bland. The episodes' plots are unoriginal, stupid and predictable. It's goal is to teach serious lessons while still be funny. Guess what? Some morals are bad and the jokes are bland. Now, let's try going into more detail about some characters. Riley. She could have ended up being an interesting character, but falls flat. She is supposed to be a very cheerful, innocent preppy person, but comes off as irritating and cringy rather than likable and cute. Aside from her weird quirk, she has no basis to her personality. Yes, she's quirky, but this point has been made multiple times; way too much energy was put into this single trait. Maya. Riley's best friend. A tough "bad girl" who doesn't have the greatest past (her father leaving). These are the only things I've noted about her character. No complexity. Farkle. What's with this guy? An "atheist" who was intended to be a unique character, but fails to catch interest. The rest, like these three, have no personality either. I won't even get into that.

The Shack (I) (2017)

Enjoyable, but nothing more.

This movie is enjoyable and pleasing to the eye, but that's it. I disagree with what this movie teaches. I'm not against Christianity, and though I'm not a Chritian myself, I could have definitely made it better. I've never read the novel, so I can't compare and criticize the author, though. It had potential; it revolves around the pain of losing a child and give an insight of having an abusive parent. There was one cringy part when Mack and Missy are talking about an Indian princess story being a fairytale, and the older daughter, out of nowhere, springs up and states that Jesus dying wasn't a fairytale, and Mack replies with "It must be true...it was in the bible." Where the f***k did that come from? I admit, this scene was so ridiculous, I laughed. I don't know why, but I found some characters amusing. The rest are pretty flat. Aside from his abusive past and grief, Mack doesn't have any characterization, God is way more arrogant than Jesus (aren't they the same?) and the holy spirit character was just weird. And another thing...Mack whispers the entire movie. What the hell?

Sausage Party (2016)

Hilarious!!...if you're twelve.

How could anyone over 12 possibly find any of this funny? The movie is planted with way too much sex jokes, drugs and curse words. Believe me, I'm not against these sort of things when it comes to comedy, but this movie overdoes it way too much. You know those 11 year olds on Call of Duty cursing and making adult jokes like crazy in a cringy attempt to seem older? That's this movie. Instead of actually using real humor, the writers thought that adults would crack up every time someone dropped the f-bomb (which, btw, is every sentence). Way too much effort in making this adult theme, not enough effort in producing good content. The plot had potential, but it was executed awfully. I don't normally rate things so low, but this movie is godawful.
