Pig (IV) (2019)

I liked how realistic it was

Pig as i see is a slow burn, it has 3 characters and i think a nice story. As i saw it, it was mostly about how some people take advantage of other's weaknesses, so main thing that i would look at from that kind of movie dialogue and acting, plus obviously directing, i thought were fantastingly done, very specific georgian type of talking and stuff, overall i had a good time watching it

Stupid beyond belief

I found this movie to be one of the stupidest movies i've ever seen. It is decently shot, light, acted, made, I think it's plot is intresting and at the same time difficult to understand and explain, development of the story is just ridiculous, main character doing things that you go - why, what? If you think about the whole concept of it you would go crazy. The question is can this movie get any more stupid? And the answer is - How?

The Air Up There (1994)

Simple, Beautiful, Fun!

This movie is just very easy to like, it has got a very simple plot, music is great, movie looks absolutely fantastic, acting is much better than you would expect, it has fairly low ambitions, i think it achieves the goal very well, it was very fun to watch

Ammonite (2020)

Very subtle, emotional, atmospheric

I was sucked into the enviroment that movie present from the very first shot and it kept me guessing, intrested, invested for the whole time. i've seen people like this so I found Winslet's character intresting and specific, so when Ronan's more joyfull young random personality meets hers, the emotional moments and drama begins to work very well. Ammonite is written, shot, directed very well, two major performances i though were brilliant, oscar nomination worthy at least, one think that bothered me quiet a lot was music, score. Overall movie was very good. Strong 7!

Mamluqi (1958)

Historic epic

From the very start of the film you know it's something special. Mamluqi is a movie with epic battle sequences, epic story where main charachter goes on crazy journey and just fantastic dramatic moments that will make you cry

Waiting for the Barbarians (2019)

Really really good, slow burn

For start waiting for barbarians opens in a best way possible, it doesn't rush anything, makes you intresting from the very beggining, while maintaining the pace. As the story goes on it gets more and more dramatic. Visualy the movie is very well shot, it looks beautiful and has purpose, which unfortunately is rear nowadays, overall cinematography is amazing, score is really good too, acting, for start Robert Pattinson and Johnny Depp have supporting roles but they performed them very well, leading actor, Mark Rylance has lots of acting to do, he is the main source of emotions and in this movie Rylance is just great. There's another character played by Gana Bayarsaikhan who also needs to be very emotional, that is the performance that really stole the show. Overall directing, including working with the actors, storytelling and so on, is 10/10, fantastic.

Baahubali: The Beginning (2015)

Word epic doesn't fully describe this movie, it has lots of flaws, it is overshot, musical sequdnces don't support the plot very well, there is not a straight line in story, but battle sequences are just unbelievable, one of the most spectacular things i've ever scene

The outpost starts slowly. It makes you thing OH God, this is another heroic patriotic movie with lots of cursing, but gets better and at the end becomes really intresting.

I looked at this as a movie about journey in Vietnam jungles to find buried gold, and for that it was amazing, fantastic. Da 5 bloods have some flaws but it is a brilliant film, on of the best of this century so far.

Once Upon a Time... in Hollywood (2019)

Pretencious, but nice movie

In this movie, every moment is presented similarly, acting, moments are over the top, over the topness is good when there's few moments of it, but 160 minutes of it is too much. Still, movie is so well shot, good looking, also movie takes you in it's world, takes you in 60s and that's great. This kind of movies are not made anymore and Quentin deserves praise for creating it, but it's could have been much better.

Directing and writting in this movie is amazing, i don't remember being so much blown away by it. Christian bale is phenomenon, others are very good too, but bale... I don't know if the story is true or not, but if we just put that aside, this is just great movie!
