Pitfall (1948)
Spectacular sleeper crime noir
Sunday night's are normally a film noir double feature, on antenna TV movie channel. Tonight's flick was a repeat. Instead found this on Amazon Prime. Boy oh boy! What a treat
Rock solid cast, with 2 gorgeous leading ladies. And Raymond Burr like you've never seen him. A far cry from Perry Mason.
Dick Powell gives this film the twist that makes film noir work so well.
Fantastic story that should be done by Hollywood today...in black n white
Chicago Syndicate (1955)
Classic 50's era Dames n Gangsters
Broadcast TV Movie channel shows 2 film noir movies Thursday and Sunday night
Thought I had seen them all. Solid characters keep your attention. As do the eye candy hot
50's bullit bra broads, MCM sets, Cool Chicago background and awesome 50's sedans
Love the News Reel crime drama narration
The Wrong Arm of the Law (1963)
A rollicking good time
Put on the kettle and settle back for a very British cat n mouse, extravaganza. Peter Sellers is fantastic, as Pearly Gates. As well as, so many other familiar faces. ie..General Pots from Chitty Chitty Bang Bang and the whole lot from The Italian Job.
Tail end chase scene worth the entire price of admission. Cheerio
Detective Story (1951)
Kirk Douglas rips your guts out
Stellar performance by Douglas and rock solid supporting cast. Enough twists and turns to fill a Coney Island Roller Coaster.
As stated previously, may well be the forefather of the single set cop thriller..Like Barney Miller and Hillstreet Blues

City That Never Sleeps (1953)
Hot lead and cold corpse
Edge of your seat plot with extraordinary camera work. Great cast of bad guys, gumshoes and dames. Strippers in early 50's??
Hot stuff
Gonna watch again
Hollow Triumph (1948)
Terrific plot and cast. Inky Shadows!!
Hollywood Film Noir was near its best, with this one. Somewhat unknown(to me) cast, but perfect selection imho. Dr's Secretary is smoking hot and Paul Heinred does a fantastic job playing both roles. They sure don't make them like this anymore. Brilliant plot

Orlando Florida
The Lineup (1958)
Dynamite views of San Francisco and old cars
Also love all the characters that show up on tv, in years to come
Mr Drexler is Mr Drysedale on Beverly Hillbilly's
As a car guy, great selection of cool 50's cars
