Kesari (2019)
An EPIC movie despite some loopholes...
'Kesari' is such a movie that doesn't deserve our review, who is even afraid of spiders. Whatever the film has rating on IMDb; everyone in the world should watch this movie at least once in lifetime.
Kesari is not a story of patriotism; this is a saga of bravery that anyone in the world can relate to.
The whole first half has been a bit dramatized. There are little bit romance, formation of other sikh sepoys, comic scenes related to them, communal harmony etc. Film is bit slow during the first half. But from the 10 minutes before the interval to the end, the movie goes to an another LEVEL.
Actingwise, everyone are praiseworthy. Akshay Kumar did his career-best job. Parineeti was good within her small role.
Cinematography is another plus-point of the movie. Bgm & music sometimes fill us with JOSH, sometimes bring tears in our eyes. At the end you will salute those 21 sikhs.
Kesari was really an Epic, with small loopholes. Still it deserves 10 on 10 rating.
2.0 (2018)
Use your brains too; otherwise it is a normal illogical action movie. Feel the Science in it...
2.0 is the visual extravaganza & your eyes will definitely not tired to watch the movie. Shankar's story was good & full of twists but not too much enjoyable like 'I' or 'Aparichit'; however the concept of every creature after death was the ultimate for which '2.0' became the best ever S. Shankar-movie to me. The message that was conveyed was beautifully expressed throughout the movie & at a time you can really relate to that. Screenplay was another pilar & it was so gripping that you can't feel the length of the first half. The first half was full of thrill & adventures with some SCIENCE-TALKS you should thoroughly listen to. The second half was a full-fledged package of emotions-thrill & actions. Nirav Shah's cinematography is another strength of the movie. But the most powerful strength is the acting performances. '2.0' is a full-fledged Rajinikanth's show & I swer, Rajini is a GENIUS. Apart from him, we can see an EXTRAORDINARY Akshay Kumar in front of him. From portraying a soft-spoken 70 years old man to a menacing villain, Akshay was more than perfect. Akshay's past was too much emotional & the emotions he delivered was the utmost- hats off to him. Amy was also good. Portraying robotic movements & comic-punches, presence-of-mind everything was perfectly performed by her. Adil Hussain, Sudhangshu & others were good too. But the villain Akshay should get more screen-presence as he was really a show-stealer when appeared as evil-Pakshirajan. Watch it in 3-D. It was amazing & 10 times greater than Robot (2010). A perfect sequal should be like this.
Belaseshe (2015)
This movie is surely & purely a masterpiece.
'Bela seshe' is a cult with mastered direction by the duo, proper & brilliant acting by Soumitra Chatterjee & Swatilekha Sengupta with strongly written & presented supporting cast & an utterly emotional story-line with soothing background music that will surely make you feel something after the end. Kharaj Mukherjee & Aparajita gave compact comic touch & made the movie more enjoyable. Every character have some allegations too much real from their side & they find something to enjoy with the life as the movie progresses. This movie seems to be too much real & applicable in our today's-life. That's why it is a 'Masterpiece'.
Stree (2018)
One of the best horror-movie I've watched ever...
Brilliant picturisation, brilliant direction & screenplay which maximum Indian horror movies lack; Stree has everything as a horror movie. Not only horror, the movie shows perfect comic-timings of Pankaj Tripathi, Rajkummar Rao, Aparshakti Khurrana, Abhishek Banerjee & surprise-package Vijay Raz. Shraddha Kapoor has done her best. Also, this movie teaches us about the true love & respect that every Indian wives want. So, if you love some social message wrapped with entertainment; (also some thoughts that will not leave you after ending) this movie is certainly for you. Sachin-Jigar mastered in creating some horror feelings by background music completely. Overall it is a worth-watch. I just loved it.
Shonar Pahar (2018)
A complete family package...
A wonderful family drama written & directed by Parambrata Chattopadhyay. I have nothing to say about acting of Tanuja, Jisshu Sengupta, Parambrata Chattopadhyay & Soumitra Chattopadhyay. The boy (I don't know his name) perfectly has done justice to his role. Arunima Ghosh is also very good in her role. The story is so much beautiful that we all have to know about. Afterall it is a worth-watch movie.
Parmanu: The Story of Pokhran (2018)
Will Keep you at the edge-of-your-seat...
Wonderful acting of everyone, the gripping screenplay & direction, Sachin-Jigar's background music, intense thriller with a nail-biting finish & no exaggeration or over-the-top sequences will definitely bring you to the theater. The first half will end & the second half will exactly start from that point. It never slows down. Overall if you like intense thriller & a very little bit of action wrapped in patriotism; this movie is certainly for you... It is a real full-marks-to the point-movie.
Gold (2018)
Go For Gold....
I'll just say if you should go to watch the movie or not. The answer is it will be a crime if you miss this. You have to watch this for its researches on very small things of that era, which is the most important for a period movie; appropriate acting of the whole supporting cast; Akshay Kumar's unbelievable performance of comedy, disappointment, a drunk man, victory & strategies; an extraordinary background music; unheard classic victory of India once upon a time; perfectly showcased World War II, communal battles & aboveall lessons of unity to conquer Gold.
Monobina & Chad Gayi Hai- things get upside down after these two songs. You can't think of the twist after the songs, so just enjoy the songs, the film will have a twist then.
Rasta Rasta & Khel Khel Mein are my favourite two tracks that helps the movie to go forward.
Don't compare Chak De & Gold. Chak De teaches us about women empowerment, SRK's challenge against them who told him 'Gaddar'. But Gold is the story of new born & about to be born India, making of the whole team to stand against Brittish. Only similarity between the two is hockey & some hockey related strategies. So, SRK's fans, don't offend with Gold. Because Gold is a different movie & not only about hockey. It is much more.
Khatta Meetha (2010)
An Underrated Priyan's COMEDY- thriller
I don't know why a very few comedies get good ratings in IMDb. I will say 'Khatta Meetha' is too much underrated as this is going with only 5.8/10 rate!
What is absent in this movie? This is not a one-time-watch. This is not a mindless comedy. Under a comic stream built by Akshay, Asrani, Rajpal & Johny Lever, there goes a fight for justice of Makrand Deshpandey against the corrupted ministers, politicians to engineers. Really awesome screenplay & dialogues make you stick to the seat & laugh at every word. As the movie proceeds to the end, suspence condenses more. Will Makrand Deshpandey ultimately win over those corrupts or the system will listen to the corrupts. Find answer through the movie.
Makrand Deshpandey appears for almost 10 minutes & he rocked. Akshay is as usually brilliant in 'humour', 'satire', 'slapsticks' & a cute small romantism. Rajpal & Johny Lever's combo is really great to see. Asrani entertains every time especially in that 'telephone scene'. Kulbhushan Kharbanda, Manoj Joshi, Tinu Anand, Aruna Irani, Neeraj Vohra & others have done the appropriate acting. Trisha struggles at the 'hindi' that affects much her expressions. Urvashi Sharma does good. Music by Pritam is good for your ears especially 'Sajde kiye hai'. Every thing of the movie is good except the average rating. It deserves more. I expected 7.3 to 7.6 out of 10.
