The Wheel of Time: Leavetaking (2021)
Visuals are cool but that's it
I think it's fair to know that a shows adaptation of a book series is going to have some changes. GoT, The Expanse, Witcher all being good examples. I can't help but feel after the first episode of WoT we steered way off course, at least to a point it's not enjoyable to those who have read the stories. Not to mention the acting ain't that great. At this point I'm trying to pretend I didn't read the stories or this is just something different.
Star Trek: The Next Generation: Qpid (1991)
Comedic relief
As the heading says, a nice intermission from the typical next generation story line. Overall fun and enjoyable with Worf really doing a great job with some comedic lines.
The Expanse (2015)
Outstanding suspense
I started this show randomly once in early 2017. I got half way through the first season and fell out of interest for a little bit. I picked it back up a friend told me the books were great and it has been a awesome experience ever since. I was one episode shy of where it picked up and beat myself up for not giving it a chance. The beginning of the show does so much to try and lay a great foundation (which they are successful at when looking back now) so the rest of the series can go on the wild adventure it does. It's Sci-Fi and mystery with awesome suspense. Can't wait to see Amazon continue this amazing story.
