Great Visuals. That's it. No story whatsoever. I rather watch 3 hours of baby shark than this water tank of a movie. Three hours wasted. Classic garbage film of shoot em up bang em up. Same old cliches and teenage whining. The irritating part is the human jungle boy and the antagonist. The writing was poor and one of the worst I've seen in a while for a "blockbuster" film. A lot of pot-holes in this film. I watched this waterwaste and asking a lot of questions in the film. More of a "fishbuster" film to me. I can't believe I'm entering a generation of wasted potential. I guess this culture love these types of foolish films. Another no substance film just like all the movies lately. Hard to find any decent movies or tv shows lately, oh wait... amazing writing doesn't sell... just sex, drugs, shooting and more foolish kindergarten writing. A fish tale and fish bait movie...don't waste your time. It makes me sad because the first Avatar had a better story. Wasted potential.

Ballerina (III) (2023)

Finally- more of this please

Finally, about time K-dramas/movies start making films like this (a bad$$$ female). This is the newer version of "chocolate" the female lead played an exceptional role and she was amazing. Really like the pace of this movie as well as the directing. It was fresh, well written and love the idea of some realism in regarding shooting and physical strength. Also love the music choice in this movie. I am kinda getting tired of the lovely dovey and fluffy stuff about time they make such a strong film. We need more of this, strong female, who kick serious rear. My favorite is that she has little patience and have a kind side to her. Like My Name, and chocolate to name a few good films. I recommend this movie a lot. Some of the low ratings not doing it justice but it's a very solid film and never a dull moment. Please make of more these films.

Mulan (2020)

It was a good movie. I like the concept of empowering women. It is a bold move to make this movie and risky. Obviously it's rated low because people thinks it's the Disney remake of the animated Mulan, it's not. So don't except this to be the 90s cartoon. Also, I realized any film that has a female warrior or strong female lead that crosses over usually tend to have low ratings because people are not ready for films like this. Personally I liked it, yes there are many gaps in story telling and potholes in the movie but I appreciate the point and the bravery of the film. I think casting was well done. Overall good film a solid 6.5. But obviously rating it higher because people rated low because they think it's the 90s cartoon.

My Dearest (2023– )

Wow! Phenomenal!

Amazing Drama!! Character development to the tee! Excellent male lead, amazing female lead as well. I'm usually blown away by the female leads in K and C dramas but in this drama the male lead is phenomenal.

I'm through first 4 episodes, the writer did well with marinating the story and developing the characters. The older couple was brilliant as well and made this simmering. I must say that this is why I love joseon/historical era dramas. I can confidently say so far this has delivered to highest level. The fight scene are top notch! Excellent watch, binge worthy no doubt. So far, phenomenal!

Prey (I) (2022)

Predator Say Sarii to Naru

Overall it's a great movie. I watched the Comanche version with subtitles in English to have the authentic feel to it. It's about two warriors fighting for survival being Naru who is a young highly skilled female warrior who is smart but doesn't have battle experience and the young-blooded predator who has to master the elements of weaponry and battle readiness. Unfortunately, there is a lot of politics that tainted the lens of a few folks leaving reviews. Fortunately, times are changing in film making and directors and writers are getting bravery to make movies like this. I like the female lead and she played an excellent strong warrior that uses her brain and not muscle to maneuver around her weaknesses. I think this movie has the potential to grow into something that derived from the original prey/predator.

I think folks leaving 1 star are the same folks rating movies like Bullet Train 10/10 and other marvel movies that has certain comfortability within our society. People need to have an open mind and this movie wasn't even political. I agree with some comments that some folks just cannot stand seeing a female warrior who is a minority get to challenge a top predator. I think the writers articulated in 90 mins how she was able to make calculated decisions in the movie.

Being physically stronger doesn't mean you cannot be defeated. Intelligence outweighs strength as seen in the movie. You can be 250 lbs of muscle dude and get knocked to the ground by a 120lbs young lady with a hit in the right spot.

The movie is really good and one of the best I've seen in awhile within the genre. They should make more films like this. Give this a try with an open mind and leave politics outside of it. The rating should be in the 8.0 and above range if folks were watching it without being bias.

The Blood of Youth (2022–2023)

Legendary Tv-Show

This is an all-time great film. This is close to perfection, I mean it. From top to bottom, everything is perfect. The martial arts and CGI is legendary. I never seen a tv-show with so many great deities and great fighters (never ending top fighters) and it's never a dull moment. Crushed 27 straight episodes in a few days because it's a rarity to find films like this. After films like Side story of Fox Volant, Who rules the world (one of the best female leads) and heavenly sword, I can't think of a film that has consistent martial arts and would exceed pass those mentioned. This is film should be summarized is one word "Perfect"

Trust me, there is never a dull moment, I can't get over how they made this. I wish there were more films like this. I must say that I always love K-drama but oh my, C-drama is making some exceptional films, especially with amazing CGI and stronger female leads. K-Drama needs to take note because it's becoming too predictable now with soapy love helplessness plots like Alcadamy of souls. This film is really a must watch on all levels and it shouldn't be anything less than a 9.4 - this film is a legit 10/10 and is an all time great.

Harry & Meghan (2022)

Let them live in peace

Listen, I am not a fan of the royal family. I wasn't interested in the royal drama. Respected the Queen and Ms. Diana and that was about it. However, I am so glad that they told their side of the story. It opened my eyes to a lot of things. I can completely get where Meghan (Meg) is coming from. Sometimes we need to listen for a change.

Meg- You are brave and we are proud of you for standing tall. Remember, be yourself, don't let anyone ruin your one precious life you have. Continue to be a great person and thank you for sharing your story.

Harry (H) - Well done mate, you are a real man. Hats off to you. You stood tall despite all the hate. You make your mom proud.

This was a well documented film and I appreciate their point of view. Ignore the one star reviews and watch it with an open mind. The point of this film was that two humans love one another and this so called institution actually ruined precious years off their lives. Unfortunately, Ms. Diana, who was ahead of her time became a victim of this as well. Thank you for your bravery Ms. Diana.

I support the media to some degree, but it comes a time when some people in the media become so derange they will do anything for money and views. People, there are more to life than money. Life is more precious than anything. Stop the hate, stop the violence, and stop the non-sense. Let these humans live their life for crying out loud. Good luck you two, if I ever meet you two, I'll buy you a beer.

Jun Jiu Ling (2021– )

Hidden Gem - perfect from start to finish

I must say that this was a great tv show and binged worthy. I did not skip one episode and I completed 40 episode is less than 2 weeks. This film is so great that it will make you lose sleep because it was perfect from start to finish. (The first 20 mins I almost giving up on it) When the characters developed, oh my goodness, one of favorites C-drama all time.

Perfect acting from the actress with strong and powerful female lead and great supporting role from the male actor. There was a complete story with little to no confusion. The entire cast did excellent, well casted show.

I honestly would have skipped this if it wasn't for noonadragon's review, so thank you for that.

This TV show won't be a let down and I am so glad I watched it. It was well balanced from start to the end. P. S. The last couple of episodes were amazing and what a great ending to a great film, well done everyone!

Bullet Train (2022)

Rubbish

This was completely rubbish. I'm just amazed people are giving this 9s and 10s. They are calling this garbage of a film "masterpiece", "best of 2022" "amazing movie"...you've got to be kidding me! This was diabolical, silly, non-sense with no plot or story. In the first 3 mins when the main actor started to talk I knew this was going to be bad. The fact that they have so many great actors in this and it was just a complete money grab waste. Complete waste of 2 plus hours... yes I know I will get thumbs down for this review but for the few folks who have a brain, please don't watch this. It's so juvenile, the jokes are NOT funny, the so-called "quick-witted, one liners and zingers" doesn't make sense. It's like a force laugh.

Personally I didn't want to watch this but I was outvoted 10-1...those 10 people ended up falling asleep and I was the only one left in the misery of watching this donkey's rear of a film.

I'm not going spoil the film but this is just bad all the way around. This is why I have giving up on Hollywood and now focus on foreign films. Please heed my review and don't waste your time. It's like a bunch of man children and a silly grown woman pretended to be a kid on a train.

From start to finish is just poor, not 1 second of quality. The masterpiece of trash and brilliantly dumb for sure.

Tips before watching:

1. Dive into this movie blind 2. Do not read reviews that say spoilers 3. Do not read negative reviews (or reviews in general might lead to spoiler) 4. Do not go into the movie with much expectations 5. Be patient for the first 20 mins of the movie (slow start but interesting at the same time) 6. Watch if you have nothing else to do 7. Have a open mind in the movie, it makes your brain think a little.

8. Just watch the movie without reading much about it.

If you reach this far in my comment, well there is a twist (pun intended ) it's actually an interesting movie. The main actress did an amazing job, I never seen a movie that was done so independently by a sole actor and basically lead the way the entire time. Excellent visuals, the graphic team did great. This movie is about the plot and that's the bread butter. The weakness is the cliche reasons of survival. However, it's solid 7.5/10. I gave it a 9/10 to help the reviews because some 1/10 reviews doesn't make any sense. Enjoy the movie.

Weak Hero Class 1 (2022– )

Must watch, great acting all around. Never a dull episode. Blown away how talented everyone is. The fight scenes are amazing and a thing of art. I like the writing and the pace of each episode. Just watch it, binged it in 48 hours could have finish it within a day but I started it too late. This will not let you down. This film is a little different from the typical "bullied" kids but it does ring a bell of how trauma works. There is a lot more story left and I really hope they keep up the great work.

(Please don't give it a low rating because it's not exactly like the webtoon - this has its original taste to it) well done Korea for making another gem.

Dune (2021)

6 Oscars? Wow

I must say this film is horrible. This is why the Oscars lost credibility over the years. No clear storyline, the writing is horrible, no clear direction, pot holes in almost every scene, waste of time. Unfortunately, this film is rated 8/10 with over 600,000 reviews, shocker. There are so many other well deserve film than this trash can. People need to start watching foreign films to broaden their horizon and stop leaving lies on how great this film was, another Hollywood black hole. I am a generous reviewer and often times leave 10/10 on films, especially films that promotes diversity. But I don't know which is a bigger disappointment, the last season of GOT or this wormy joe junk down the hill that lives under a rock film. C'mon, seriously? 8/10?? Trust me, this is not even close to 2/10. I like Zendaya but she is basically not in the film. Save yourself 3 hours and enjoy the outdoors on a walk, play in the sand, or practice worm sand walks in your neighborhood and tell the neighbors I'm not crazy I just watched Dune.

Perfect episode. The writing for this episode is perfect. Wow!! Very emotional! Well done Sadie Sink (Max) impeccable acting! The Suffy brothers has done it again. So far, excellent season!! By far the best since season 1.

One of the best martial arts film. I wish there was more film like this. After bloody romance, heavenly sword, and handsome siblings. I really love this one. Great story line and love the two main characters. I wish there were more films like this on Netflix and I am really happy that this was made. The writers, the director and the entire cast did well. The CGI is impeccable. Hidden gem and binge worthy. 10/10.

I hope none of the extraterrestrial life looks down on us. I know, we are crazy. We are smart but yeah, still crazy. We will watch this film and Righty will say it's politics, you know what Lefty trying to do, Lefty owns Hollywood and JFK is the director! Lefty will say dang right Righty, it's all politics and we ain't hypocrites we are the "good guys"; while Indy just sits there clueless. Anyway, this film is a good reminder that there is more to life than life itself. People wake the eff up and stop being selfish for the sake of nothing. We are all the same like it or not. We ARE the same. The only time we will get together has one is when we have no other option to, just like the last supper.

This would have had more reviews if it was on Netflix. Enjoyable film with likable characters. It's well balanced and have a good storyline. It is a good change of pace, nice light comedy (actually made me lol a few times) with some seriousness along with decent fight scenes. I must say that Korea has always done well with their female leads. Hyeri done well, great supporting cast, and I can say watch this. It is a nice binge worthy series.

Handle like Powder

They need to handle this series like powder and put this in a safe. This is diamond, this is a masterclass cultural phenomenon in the making. This is modern day Anime to the next level. This is a self drawing portrait of the Mona Lisa. I'm just amazed how well compacted and organized the entire staff and production team were in making this film. This is near perfect in every level. Great story, great character development, graphics, everything. This is a must watch and clear 10/10. Nothing less than a 10.

She is the entire film, she made this film great. I don't know if she did all the fight scenes but I give her stunt double props too. The year of great Korean women in Tv shows, from Squid Game Hoyeon Jung, Kings Affection Park Eun Bin, and now Han Do Hee. Korea have some serious actors man there are so many. Overall a very good TV show. Yes there are some pot holes but again, Han So Hee delivers every time, she took this role personally it feels like. Great watch, recommend.

This lemon left a sour taste. Poor writing, directing, and a waste of money. Woody is starting to star in poor or mediocre films. The positive take away is that I like that it was Japanese and English, I like the main character, the little girl has talent but she was put in a bad role, with poor directing. This was just a waste of time watching this shoot them up Chop them up film with no substance. 4 stars, could have easily been 1 star but it was a shorter film which I was glad it ended.

Shadow and Bone (2021–2023)

Ignore the negative reviews. This is different and refreshing. What makes this show great is the writing, episode 5 is probable one of the best episodes of the show. The writing is like a puzzle and it's amazing to see it come together. I love how dark the Tv show is like The Witcher. All cast were casted well. I love all the characters; especially Jaz, Inej and Jesper. Those 3, really make this Tv show interesting. Overall great show and please watch it. But wow episode 5 was brilliant.

Space Sweepers (2021)

Visual excitement

Fun movie, I think the UN made this movie. The movie has many languages in it. I love Korean movies and this was a little bit on the excitement compared to a story. Grab your chips and enjoy the visual work. They put a lot in the visual and it was exciting. However, the movie fell short of script writing something most Koreans are good at. They played this to a more broader audience so I can see some stuff seemed rushed. The ending was the weak point of the movie but wasn't a disaster. I love all the main characters and two thumbs up for the child actor she was amazing.

Frozen II (2019)

Frozen 2 is not as good as frozen 1 but my family enjoyed Frozen 2. I read some reviews and my god, adults are terrible. Especially the comment about "forced diversity" and "black characters." It's a kids movie for crying out loud! Children live what they learn. Children need to learn about diversity and inclusion. The world is a mix bag. Also, someone posted that it's a story about mental illness??? Well, mental illness is real and need to be implemented in kids movies as well; if you are against it, idk what to say to that. Jeez, this world is not plastic? My goodness, people are so in their heads and live in their own box. My goodness, the world needs more inclusion and awareness.
