Parts 1-5 we're fantastic, a hilarious comedy with a few dramatic family themes dropped in to help keep the show grounded. It was awesome, great chemistry between the actors, and real life family dynamics played out without the Hollywood spin. I loved it.
Parts 6-7 are average at best. It has become a drama with a funny one liner every once in a while. Danny was one of the funniest on the show and Dax cannot fill that role unfortunately. All the characters changed dramatically when Rooster was killed off and it really hurt the show. It's no longer funny and has become more of a soap opera than anything else.
Bring back Danny, it's the only way to save the show at this point.
