The Beatles Revolution (2000)
Great Beatles documentary
I show it every year to 5th graders. Beatles are the "classical music" of all pop music. (Transferring my TV taping to CD unless I can buy it anew.) So wonderful. WHAT??????? I can't make pithy comments? I have to write 10 lines minimum? This is silliness. Mike Meyers bares his soul. Milos Foreman says Beatles are directly, if partially responsible for the fall of Communism. Great primer for anyone who was born too early or too late to know. Beatles music sounds as fresh today as yesterday. And that wasn't a pun. Rolling Stones Keith Richards chain smokes and sips whiskey and states that everyone was just stunned. JK Rowling relates. Black and white musicians alike hold them near and dear. All music since and maybe even before is derivative. Name something that isn't.
The Other (1972)
Must buy The Other
I remember this as verrrry srarrrrry and want to see it again. I am having trouble finding it. Sell it to me. Horror heavy on story and light on gore. My kind of movie. Has a twist ending much like The Sixth Sense. Also similar to a bad seed theme. A young John Ritter is actually in this although I cannot remember his role. For this alone I want to see it again. Uta Haagen has a rare and major role. Great, riveting surprise ending, I must buy this video/DVD. I saw this with Jessica Walter's brother--Richard Walter-an aspiring writer at the time, I believe. He was very critical of the film and I was astonished!! I must Google him to see if he was ever successful. Someone please re release it!
