Lady and the Tramp (1955)
Disney's Best Romantic Movie
Lady and the Tramp is one of Disney's best animated movies and one of the best romantic films. The movie centers around a female American Cocker Spaniel dog named Lady (the pet of a couple) who runs away from her owners after they have baby. After she was out on the streets, she meets a male street dog named Tramp, and two fall in love with each other. I first watched the whole movie in February and after watching it, this movie became one of my favorite Disney movies, and one of my favorite Disney franchises, and the song "He's a Tramp" became one of m favorite Disney songs. This movie is a lovely movie to watch, especially for Disney fans, and it can also be a movie to watch not only everyday, but also Valentine's Day.
Once Upon a Studio (2023)
Happy 100 Years to Disney
It is Disney's 100 anniversary, and we got a short him to celebrate the special anniversary celebration. This short film features all the Disney characters from the Disney animation canon coming together for a group photo.
What I like about this short film is of how see our favorite Disney characters coming together, just like in the Disney show "House of Mouse". I also like the scene where Mickey Mouse goes to the portrait of Walt Disney and thanks for everything he did. That was so touching. It was all great seeing 2D and 3D animated in one short. This short film is one of the best short films of 2023, and this is also one of Disney's best short films.
The Polar Express (2004)
One of my favorite Christmas movies
From director Robert Zemeckis, comes an amazing magical Christmas adventure. Based on one of the best selling Christmas book of the same name, "The Polar Express" tells the story about a boy who is curious about Santa Claus' existence boarding a magical train heading to the North Pole. Along the way, the makes friends with a girl, a know-it all, and a lonely boy named Billy.
What I like about this movie is how the characters and movie scenes replicates the illustrations of Chris Van Allsburg's book. I even like the scenes where the kids are served hot chocolate, the Hobo and the boy skiing on the roof, the train going down glacier gulch, the wide observation car ride, the ride in Santa's sack, and Santa giving out the first gift of Christmas.
This movie is one of the best Christmas movies and it is fun to watch it as a family, and see it in theaters when it is rereleased.
Goosebumps: A Night in Terror Tower: Part 1 (1996)
One of the best Goosebumps stories
"A Night in Terror Tower" is the 27th book in the Goosebumps franchise and was adapted into a two part episode in 1996. The two main protagonists Eddie brother and Sue who are siblings are on vacation in the town of London visit a castle called "Terror Tower" where they hear the story of Prince Edward and Princess Susannah (who was revealed to be them near the end). But when they were accidentally left behind by the tour group, they are chased by a man known as the Lord High Executioner who wants to take back to their original time and execute them.
This episode is one of my favorite episodes from Goosebumps, and what I like about this episode is that the plot was very good just like the book (which I haven't read, but I listen to the audiobook), the exterior was fantastic, this episode (and the book) was set in London, England, and England is one of the best countries, and the end credits theme used a medieval vacation of the Goosebumps theme.
Scooby Doo, Where Are You!: A Gaggle of Galloping Ghosts (1969)
A Good Scooby-Doo Episode
In "A Gaggle of Galloping Ghosts", Scooby-Doo and the gang visit a castle called "Franken Castle". But when they arrive, they are encounter three members of the Universal Monsters, including: Dracula, Frankenstein's Monster, and the Wolfman.
This episode is good, but there are some problems with it. For example the gang was not referring the correct names for the three monsters, like they refer Dracula and Frankenstein's Monster ghosts, and the Wolfman a regular werewolf. However, this was likely due to copyright issues at the time, but they could have had Dracula referred to as "the Vampire" and Frankenstein's Monsters as "the Man Like Monster".
Shaggy was out of character because he acts less cowardly, but that's okay. The plot of the episodes was great, and the exterior and interior of the castle was great. The the criminal of this episode Big Bob Oakley was the first villain to say one of the famous lines in the show "I would have gotten away if it wasn't for those blasted kids and their dog". Even though there are small problems in this episode, it is still a good episode, and it can be perfect for fans of movie monsters.
Coraline (2009)
A Wonderful Stop-Motion Movie
"Coraline" is one of the best animated movies in the world. The movie was directed by Henry Selick, who directed Tim Burton's classic "The Nightmare Before Christmas". The movie centers around a girl named Coraline who wasn't happy about moving into a gloomy apartment, and her parents have no time for her. When exploring the house, she comes across a little door that leads to another version of her world, except it is a better version of her real world, and the people have buttons for eyes. Coraline is very pleased about this world, until she learns that she needs to have buttons sewed in her eyes if she wants to stay. She also learns that the other mother is actually a witch who lures bored children into her world and eats them. So now Coraline has to find the missing eyes of three ghost children and escape the other world to get back to her real one.
What makes this movie so great is of the plot was well written, the animation was great, the effects look great, and the exterior looks great. If you're a fan of stop-motion movies, you gotta watch this, its a fantastic movie.
Hocus Pocus (1993)
A fun Halloween family movie
Witches can be good antagonists for stories and movies. But one of the best witch antagonists are the Sanderson Sisters from this movie, "Hocus Pocus". In this movie, it centers around a teenage boy named Max, who moves into the town of Salem (where they tell stories of the Sanderson Sisters every Halloween season) with his family. On the day of Halloween, when Max, his sister, Dani, and his classmate crush, Allison explore the Sanderson's cottage, Max brings the witch sisters back from the dead by lighting a candle known as the "Black Flame Candle" after not believing the stories about the witch trio. Now it is up to Max, Dani, Allison, and Thackery Binx (a boy who has been turned into a black cat after failing to save his little sister, Emily Binx) to stop the Sanderson Sisters from taking the lives out of children.
What I like about this movie is that plot was fantastic, the actors and actresses did a good job playing the characters, and the song "I Put A Spell On You" was fantastic. It was a shame that the movie didn't do so well when it first came out, but as years went by, the movie started to get popular and popular every year, and "Hocus Pocus" will always be one of Disney's movies and one of the best Halloween movies.
Up (2009)
One of the best adventure films
"Up" is one of my favorite Disney and Pixar movies, and it is known to be one of the best animated movies. The movie centers around an old man named Carl Fredricksen, who's wife named Ellie had past away from old age follows his dreams to move to a place known as Paradise Falls. When he leaves his town in his house with hundreds of balloons, he accidentally drags along a boy name Russel, who is a Wilderness Explorer Scout who is trying to earn his "assisting the elderly badge". When the two get to Paradise Falls, a bird that Russel dubs Kevin, and a dog named Dug join in the journey. They even run into Carl's favorite explorer Charles Muntz (the formal owner of Dug), who wants Kevin so he can prove her existence. So it's up to Carl, Russel, and Dug to save Kevin and defeat Charles Muntz. What I like about this movie is that the plot was great, the characters were great, the exterior of Paradise Falls were great, and the montage of Carl and Ellie's life were great.
The Haunted Mansion (2003)
My most favorite Disney movie
This movie is my all time favorite Disney movie, because of the Haunted Mansion is my most favorite ride at Disneyland. The actors did a good job playing the characters, the design of the mansion was great, the designs of the zombies look great, the music was great, and the plot was great. Even though many people hate this movie, I still like this movie and I'm sure some people like this movie too, and many people have different opinions on movies. This movie can be funny and it is also fun to watch the movie during the Halloween season. This movie can also be considered as one of Eddie Murphy's best movie roles and one of the best Disney movies.
A Christmas Story Christmas (2022)
One of the bet sequels in the world.
When I saw this movie, it was great. "A Christmas Story Christmas" is another great sequel in the world. This is way better than the sequel that came in 2012 and it was great seeing the original cast. The plot about Ralphie hearing that his father past away was very sad, but it was still a classic. One of the nice scenes in the movie is where Scut Farkus (who is has became a police officer) apologized to Ralphie for what he did in the past. When Ralphie goes into the attic, we can see some stuff from the first movie, like Ralph's bunny outfit, his Red Ryder BB Gun, and Ralphie's dad's bowling ball. Like the original movie, this sequel became a Christmas classic.
The Year Without a Santa Claus (1974)
A Wonderful Christmas Special To Watch Every Christmas
"The Year Without a Santa Claus" is one of my favorite Christmas specials to watch during the Christmas season and it is known to be one of Rankin/Bass' best Christmas specials. The plot for the special was great as well as the songs, but Heat Miser and Snow Miser's songs were the best songs in the special. Since the Miser Brothers' songs were great, cover songs can be heard on Christmas Albums like Big Bad Voodoo Daddy's "Everything You Want for Christmas". To this day, "The Year Without a Santa Claus" is still one of the best Christmas specials out there and timeless classic for the Christmas season.
A Christmas Story (1983)
A classic Christmas movie to watch
A Christmas Story is one of the best Christmas movies in the world and it is one of my favorite Christmas movies. Every Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, my family and I would watch the marathon on the TNT channel, it is nice to watch it as a family. The plot was great and the characters were great, except for the bullies Scut Farkus and Grover Dill, as well as the mall Santa, and the mall Elves. The bullies were not my favorite characters in the movie, but Scut got what he deserved. The Leg Lamp was wonderful and the Red Ryder BB Gun looked cool. The interesting thing was that this movie was set in 1940, this was when Walt Disney was alive. To this day, "A Christmas Story" is still one of the best Christmas movies out there, and it will always be one of the best ones.
The Munsters (2022)
A wonderful prequel to a popular series
The Munsters is one of my favorite shows and they are fun to watch, especially during the Halloween season.
I heard some people don't like this movie, but to me, it is a good movie. It was a very neat idea to make a prequel to the Munsters series and showing how Lilly and Herman met and showing how they adopted Spot. When I saw the movie, I was expecting Marilyn and Eddie to appear, but they didn't. If this movie gets a sequel, I'm hope the two will appear in the movie. What surprised me about this movie, is that Igor was at first human before he was turned into a bat. It was kinda cool that Butch Patrick (the original actor for Eddie) made an appearance in this movie as.the Tin Can Man. I gotta say that this movie is good.
E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial (1982)
A classic movie to watch
"E. T. the Extra-Terrestrial" is one the best movies and it is one of Steven Spielberg's best movies and this movie is one of Universal's great movies. What is cool about this movie was that E. T. can make Elliot and his friends fly on bikes, which is a neat thing to see. The scene that I think was funny to watch was how E. T. got drunk and made Elliot acted drunk and then made him act like a superhero during his class. There were some quotes that I think were wrong, but that's okay. To this day, this movie is still a great movie to watch and Steven Spielberg is also still one of the best movie directors.
Coco (2017)
One of Pixar's amazing movies
Coco is one of my favorite Disney and Pixar movies. The plot for the movie and the songs were great. The movie is known to be Pixar's first musical film. I went to see this movie twice in theaters with my family and we enjoyed it.
Goosebumps (2015)
A Movie Full of Scary and Funny Scenes
The Goosebumps movie is a great movie to watch and its one of my favorite movies. There were scenes that were scary and funny, but the scenes where R. L. Stine was being rude were not good, but the movie was still great.
Scooby Doo, Where Are You!: Haunted House Hang-Up (1970)
One of the show's great episodes
This episode was the first Scooby-Doo episode I watched and it was a good episode. It was kinda interesting to see that this is the episode's monster/ghost who is not a criminal, just someone trying to protect the family's fortune. This episode was great and I enjoyed it.
Toy Story (1995)
A Fun and Fantastic Movie
Toy Story is a great movie and it is one of my favorite Disney and Pixar movies. The one thing that confused me was that Buzz thinks he's a real space ranger. But if he think's he is a real space ranger, why does he freeze when humans are around? The one thing that I didn't like about this movies was Mr. Potato Head accusing Woody for pushing Buzz out the window thinking Woody did it on purpose, but it was actually an accident, but I still enjoy this movie and it is a good one.
The Nightmare Before Christmas (1993)
The Wonderful Movie to Watch on Halloween and Christmas
This movie is one of my favorite Disney movies and it is great to watch this movie on the Halloween and Christmas season. I liked the songs and the story was great.
Matilda (1996)
A Great Family Movie
This is one of my favorite movies. Some of the scenes make me laugh just like when I watch How the Grinch Stole Christmas starring Jim Carrey, but one scene I didn't like was the scene where Mrs. Trunchbull puts Matilda in the chokey because it was not her fault, but I still enjoy this movie.
It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown (1966)
A Great Halloween Special
This is most favorite Halloween special and I like watching this every Halloween season. The music in this was great and it's nice the watch this special and listen to the music in it.
How the Grinch Stole Christmas (2000)
The Greatest Dr. Seuss Movie Adaptation
This movie was great! This movie had funny moments to make people laugh and a backstory for the Grinch. This movie is one of the best movies to be based on a children's books and a great movie to watch on the Christmas season. I think Dr. Seuss would have liked this movie.
Goosebumps: Night of the Living Dummy III: Part 1 (1997)
My Most Favorite Goosebumps Episode
This Goosebumps episode is my most favorite episode of all time. The plot was great, and I enjoyed it. I have got to say that this has to be the number one "Night of the Living Dummy" adaptation of this Goosebumps tv show one of the best episodes ever.
Scooby Doo, Where Are You!: Which Witch Is Which? (1969)
This is a great episode.
The plot of this episode was great. The Witch and Zombie were great, they are one of my favorite monsters in "Scooby-Doo, Where Are You". The episode is also one of my favorite episodes of the show.
Missing in the Mansion (2012)
Best Horror Short Film
The horror short film is very dark and spooky. But I have to say that this horror short film is way better than "Escape from Tomorrow".
