Our Cartoon President (2018)
Typical Anti-Trump Pablum. Nothing new
Honestly, 14 writers and this is all they can come up with? Simply an extended version of his "hard-hitting satirical " show. Sure to please his base, and bore everyone else.
For a true example of political satire watch "The Windsors" (2 writers!), or "Tracey Breaks The News", and see how it's done without the relentless desperate mean-spirited bile.
Westworld: Phase Space (2018)
And yet another "strong woman "!
Continuing the quest to push an all-too-obvious agenda, yet another superwoman is introduced to show those stupid men how it's done. Now, even the MIB is not immune! The last truly masculine figure is now being schooled by an errant erstwhile young daughter! Just appeared out of nowhere, to keep the thing going.
So far, season 2 is a big disappointment, and departure from the original premise of the show. Now, every scene has a fearless heroine leading a fawning confused male entourage. It's all becoming quite tiresome and predictable.
Anthony Hopkins does resurface at the end of this episode, so perhaps there still might be some hope for the series.
Westworld: Virtù e Fortuna (2018)
PC Mess!
So far, this season has been a real disappointment, devolving into an endless series of mindless cartoonish shootouts, and random acts of violence and carnage, as our intrepid heroines seek revenge and retribution. The fact that all the strong lead characters are females, and the men bumbling idiots is instructive, and reflects the current pc imperative that is seeping into nearly all new media presentations. This heavy-handed approach is glaringly obvious and adversely effects the whole tone of the show. It's now just a vehicle for female empowerment.
