Mortal Kombat (2021)

Mediocre.

Very Mediocre, could have done so much more and the only characters they got right were Scorpion, Sub Zero, Jaxx and Kung Lao. The rest sucked, although Kano was witty and did as well you could expect, seeing as he was also wrong for the part. It also lacked in directing with some poor screen moments, script was good in places but poor in some places.

Distortion of History, False Potrayal of Ilamic Rulers as Villians.

There is a clear pattern to colour Islamic rulers as villains with no reference to any facts based on authentic information said Heeram Chaturvedi, head of department of history at Allahabad University.

Distorting history is the new norm in Bollywood, one group is glorified while another vilified, check out historical books from the British archives.

As for the film's entertainment factor, it looks very cheaply made graphics, cartoon like and fake looking sets.

Good idea but Terribly Scripted, Executed...

Story could have worked well but flawed by very poorly written and executed scenes, acting was spot on by lead actor Priyanshu (Shekar) and average by lead actress Sandali (Piya), some bad acting and in part direction by most of the rest of the cast, some beautiful scenery and one hit song is the only aspects that stand out but many scenes are cringe worthy with some terrible writing, poor wardrobe choices and lack of knowledge on the subject of how business works. Much of the film revolves around the workplace and its almost laughable the way its executed.

Everything was great except Uma Thurman, (as with the first Vol) to the extent that it can not be rewatched, the more times i see it, the more i am likely to rate this lower.. due to Uma Thurman, she was not right for this role..

Long, stapled together scenes, abhorant bruce lee portrayal, worst film by Q

The film clearly shows the talent of Quentin film making but is easily one of his worst films and for several reasons a waste of 3 hours and definitely not a rewatchable movie.

To summarise... unnecessary long duration of 3 hours, scenes seem stapled or randonly forced toegther, script is not great and finally the whole bruce lee portrayal was abhorant and ugly...

Quentin had portrayed Bruce Lee from the opinion of someone who disliked him.. what motivated quentin to do this is unclear but his justification for this action is just as ugly as the action itself.. i.e. that Bruce lee was boastful becuase he claimed he could beat Ali in a fight, when in fact no evidence or this exists and even if he did say it.. is this any justification to portray him in this light and contradict all the statements and footage we have of the man. Disguisting...

Only You (1999)

Alot of Potential but ruined by poor Script + Concept Delivery.

This movie is similiar in theme to the hollywood movie "You've Got Mail" but has several poorly written scenes. All the actors performed well, especially the actress, she was perfect for the role.

The movie had potential of being a brilliant movie. the intial concept of the story is good but they go over the top with it..For example the lead actress compares faith in God to faith in love to writing to stanger, also she was ready to give up on life if she did not meet the lead actor.

Charactor building was good, comedy was below average, songs were ok, but the whole movie was ruined by the way the concept and story was delivered through the script. It felt rushed and little thought and effort of creativity to delivering the concept and scene writing, for example the way they had wriiten the scenes when the leading actors interacted with each other in person.

Overall very dissapointed becuase it has many good ingrediants to be brilliant but seriously lacked in some areas.

Mann - Soul's Heart (1999)

Classic Romance, Drama, Comedy

Mann has many of the necessary ingrediants orsuccessful combination of what needed for a hit film, with the bollywood industry largely themed at love and romance its the very few movies that become hits amongst a stacked competition year after year..

Manisha and Aamir are easily amongst the top ten actors of bollywood has ever seen and always enhance every movie they star in, unlike some actors who may be very good but have some major flaws.

The film story is reasonably interesting, hit songs and good actors, well written script, good direction and shot well.

*Note to IMBD (Title Error) Mann does not translate to Mind. Mann is dificult to translate but relates to heart and soul or feelings from the heart or soul. It has nothing to do with the mind. For example in Hindi the translation for the word soul is Ant Mann or Aatma. A more accurate translation for the word Mann is "Heart of the Soul" or "Passion of the Soul" or "Feeling of the Heart" or "Passion of the Heart" ETC.

Janbaaz (1986)

Terrible.. just terrible

Terribly cheesy, poorly scripted and directed movie, from start to finish everything about this film is just terrible. Anil's acting as is expected is well performed and the only postive aspect but means nothing if everything else is so bad.

Conclusion: poor attempt of a sleezy western

Masterpiece but still no Bluray?

This is one of the first korean movies i watched... and is still one of the best of its kind... Why this has not been transferred to bluray yet is completly beyond me... It is clearly a well liked movie and so many bad movies are on bluray but yet no motion picture company has taken the task to render this into Bluray quality...

A must watch...

I dont make many reviews, but since almost half of the reviews for this movie are negative, i felt i should say something....

This movie is well worth the watch! Kajol and Anil performances are top notch, they shine in their roles... The story/plot/script and production is great, includes some good comedy, it is a mature emotional drama love story... overall very enjoyable movie and is underrated..

The negative reviews on here are so misleading, one reviewer said "it is over-dramatic" lol far from it... it is an emotional scripted movie which will pull at your heart strings unless you have a hard or dead heart... and this is bollywood where the majority of films are over-dramatic... but here not so much.. Another reviewer said "premise was interesting but handled and executed poorly" I couldnt disagree more.. premise was great, produced and executed excellently...

This film is completly ruined by the presence of Matt Damon, dont get me wrong, I like Matt as an actor but completly wrong for this role, in fact the role should have been an asian guy, I dont think any white person would have suited the movie, what were they thinking... Matt just looked really silly and cheesy. and the movie cannot be taken seriously.

similarly hollywood did this with Keanu in Ronin but that was not so bad and far less cheesy... I dont see the need to introduce the white role in these type of movies, its asain in origin and will work best as such... a potentially great movie ruined ...

The One (2001)

Worst acting from Jet

Plot, sequences, direction, script and action all was pretty good, the major issue was Jet Li acting ability in this, everyone else performed well, but Jet clearly could not act well, probably due to having a major double role.

I give this a 6 but had the potential for an 8.

Yash Chopra is gifted and thats why this film is difficult to dislike, even when there is so much too dislike, the first half is enjoyable and well performed, Anil and Sridevi perform really well with the roles they have, Sridevi has been given a double role, the second half (where Sridevi is now the daughter of the charactor of her first role) is where everything falls apart, here the story is poorly written and kind of incentious , it certainly ruins the film, the daughter falling in love with her mothers old lover... just completly ruined the experience, there are good moments throughout the film but general story line and script is not good and one begins to think.. what was Yash thinking... avoid this one you will only be dissapointed unless you have a sick nature and warped concept of reality deep inside you,.

A enjoyable movie, a dying trend in the 21st century, almost impossible to expect something of this caliber in today's world since hollywood's propaganda agenda overshadows majority movie projects.
