Romina (2018)
Chaotic
An interesting theme drowns in grotesque murders, objectification and long, nonsense conversations.
I wish I had more words to explain the movie, but it's just too bizarre.
Crawlspace (2016)
Objectifying
There's a few things to applaud the movie for: it has creepy characters and exciting moments.
However, the movie's two storylines decrease its quality, by a lot. It doesn't seem necessary to spend half a movie on a neighboring, creepy locksmith when the same person is cut off and killed by a man in the attic. The primary reason for including the locksmith seems to be for someone to drool over the daughter standing in her room in her underwear, unaware of the stalking which is going on.
There's a clever irony though: the locksmith helps them keeping danger outside, when the danger's within. They could've skipped the neighbor's stalking and still made the point.

Instagram material
I don't normally watch makeover shows, but, when I didn't have anything else to watch on Netflix, I thought I could give it a try. I regretted it instantly.
Most of the participants (meaning the ones to get makeovers) look indeed quite extreme: from Barbie obsessions to Halloween all year around. They could tone it down a little, but the professionals took it to a "Instagram look", meaning silver hair, thin heels, girly/sophisticated goth et cetera. Nothing wrong with that, but in this case they made them something the participants weren't, and they then lost the personality and uniqueness that I liked with the starting point.
This was expected, when the contestants or their friends and families wanted them to take a milder and friendlier approach. That wish often turns people into Instagram material: flawless, made up and trendy.
Especially painful is it to know that there are so many people who say they hate what the stylists do to them, while the comments and ratings, at the same time, seem to be greatly positive (with an average of 7-8/10).
