Xiang jian ni (2019)
Masterpiece of a show that will give you butterflies and rip your heart out at the same time.
This has been on my watchlist for years but I am still happy I watched it right on time before the movie came out. The combo is the best! Show+ movie made me feel better. The show has to be the best one in timetravel romance genre I have watched so far! It is on point and they explain everything so wonderfully. They tied all the loose ends may be except for 1 minor one which is still fine with me. Also talk about character development it feels like anime lol. The actors have done a brilliant job each and everyone of them - this has to be my #1 Taiwanese show without any doubt! The characters LZW and XY are the best couple in drama universe for me. I mean both are so perfect for each other and I love every bit of this show. The OST's are amazing. Wu Bai's last dance got stuck in my head right from the start - it is true you think of someone when you listen to certain song and this one will magically take you to SOOD dreamland. The script/plot, dialogues are written so well - there are so many scenes that makes your heart beat and then some that makes it pop out so you don't feel like breathing anymore. This show has put all the emotions into it so you will feel it in every part of the show! If you have'nt watched this you are certainly missing out on the best underrated show about love, friendship, sacrifices and yearning and a lot of valuable things/lessons. By far the best show I have watched. I could not get over it for 2 days until I watched the special 5 mins scene and then the movie! It was all worth it. Highly highly recommended!
Jigeum uri hakgyoneun (2022)
The trailer excited me but the series was meh disappointing
If you're a fan of zombie show and won't care about the quality/plot or any details - sure go for it.
Also if you're new to Korean shows and want to watch something go ahead
However, if you're someone who watches shows for the plot, direction, cinematography, stunts then I'd say this one was so disappointing.
It looked great when the trailer was out. I was actually excited but the show is below average for me. The camera work was sloppy. Looks like it was shot way back in 2000 or the techniques they used were quite outdated not sure about that (still there were good shows with good quality before 2000s. So clearing that )
Background score is really not appropriate - it doesn't sync with most of the scenes. Usually Koreans shows have amazing OST's or background scores.
The plot is terrible - Same typical plot (both school/zombie) there's nothing new plus they tried to fit everything in the plot that it felt more of a school drama than zombie school drama
This may be a low budget show but still I've seen better shows with low budget!
Anyway all I want to say is rather than watching this show and wasting time on it. Please watch Happiness (its of same genre but the plot is amazing - overall an epic show ) and thank me later 😋
This is coming from a person who watched countless number of Korean shows and is tired of basic plots - so don't be offended if you liked the show. Since, most of the reviews are misleading to someone like me I just wanted to put it out there.

Thrilling!
This series sticks to it's genre and definitely not for all. If you're into Thriller+cult stuff with fantasy creatures then this might be just your thing. The pace could be slow for some but I get why that's required especially in this kinda Korean series. The background score was spot on.
The story was great too. Definitely a short series on Netflix that I really liked. This show was dark, voilent and emotional at times. Not sure why people say it's not realistic but I think it's definitely realistic since I've myself seen people making terrible/dumb decisions for the their love of religion!
I really thought that the script was well implemented except that the CGI could have been alot better!
Again we cannot compare Koreans to Hollywood yet although I've seen better Korean shows/movies with better CGI.
However, the acting was on point! Yoo Ah in - this man can do all kinda roles!
Unsure what people were expecting but this to me was definitely a great watch and worth recommending to people. There are alot of answered questions. However, it looks like there could be a season two so that explains the cliffhanger.
For those of you who liked this show can watch strangers from hell/hell is other people.
Daebakbudongsan (2021)
A fantasy drama with good ending
This drama was wholesome. Although the plot was predictable, each episodes were interesting. From character building to storytelling- it was crisp and correctly paced.
I liked all the main characters. In Beom and his hyung definitely had a great chemistry - no wonder the PD praised these two and asked us to watch out for these two!
The side stories of all the ghosts featured were really fun to watch some were upsetting while some were creepy - as in how they were lead to their death.
The message that the drama wanted to deliver to audience I think it is very loud and clear if not in between atleast by the end of the drama.
The show has done justice to its title *Daebak real Estate/ Sell your haunted house*
I'm glad they focused on the main plot that revolves around this buisness. It's surprising because many of the dramas with romance tag usually focuses only on romance these days the plot gets deviated to a love triangle 🤣 So this was definitely refreshing.
The acting was amazing.
Hong Ji Ah as a female lead was very bold, intelligent, Sensitive when required, straightforward, witty and sarcastic.
Usually the so called strong/savage female leads in few kdramas are insensitive things and hurting innocent people and also being obsessed with someone she/he likes or are seen forcing their feelings on that person but Hong Ji Ah stands out from this lot to modern description of savagery/strong woman. I'm glad they built characters with lot of thoughts and didn't rush anything in anyway.
In Beom on the other hard was that one person who made this drama a light hearted one - must say this must have been extremely hard for Young Hwa since he has to act as good as Na Ra. I'm glad he did that because he's definitely not sidelined. Everyone noticed how much he has improved over the years so this role is one of his best one so far. More powerful one as well since he had to potray alot of feelings in this drama
Subtle hints of romance was more than enough for me as it didn't kill the main plot so I'm glad I decided to watch this show.
New kdrama watchers will definitely enjoy this one.
However, if you're someone like me who has been watching kdramas for a decade then you might find it repetitive and have a difference of opinion. Nevertheless, I personally enjoyed it and loved it too
Will miss this show and the cast. Their relationships were too pure to forget.
Agui kkot (2020)
Best drama of 2020-Gosh I've never been so desperate to write a review
Being a kdrama fan I've never written a review in IMDb so desperately but here goes my review
Firstly Lee Joon Gi shines throughout the series along with Bad guys (with less screen time)- you'll find out who, Moon Chae won they are all amazing
Special mention - the kid playing Eun Ah
The plot, the character arcs are very well written - Kudos to the script writer
The depth of each and every phase can be seen through each and every episode it gives you thrills and chills and will keep you hooked
It doesn't matter which genre you like this drama is a total package it will not disappoint you
I loved the music scores which amplied some creepy, some intense scenes
The action sequences are well choreographed
Alll the scenes were well directed the implementation of this whole drama was very impressive the director and the whole crew did a great job in doing so
I just cant prasise the scriptwriter enough for this brilliantly written masterpiece
This drama had a lot of depth in it each character were given various works and I loved it thoroughly
well even though I have a short term memory I still remember my favourite episodes 12 13 15 - watch out for them
Although 16 was my least favorite with a cliched kdrama troupe which would normally make me exit a drama it was well implemented it was quite intense
I know many think that the ending was horrible or dont like it but I think it was the best way to end the series although we did deserve more of these characters at the end
however i think it could've been worse than this
I bet most of us were preparing ourselves to a tragic/sad ending since the first episode so let's not he greedy okay :P
Let's give them an applause for potraying mental illness in a more accurate way than how its potrayed in rest of the kdramas shall we?
I hate it when the use this jerk of a MC having some traumatic past experiences - gosh im done with that troupe im glad this drama changed those things for me
From romance to bromance, thriller to action this drama had everything! it made me laugh, cry and smile like an idiot
Interms of plot, action, characters, acting, music and every lil things that makes a great drama it was that great
to fellow Music enthusiasts : I must say I fell in love with the song at first listen in the first episode - feel you!! then the song pycho at the end of every episode pumped me up for the next episode
In my heart - a song that's close to my heart
Overall this drama was the best of 2020 for me period
Kingdom (2019)
The best period drama ever
To those of you saying this is not better than walking dead and bleh bleh
Stop comparing you will never enjoy good dramas if you keep doing that.
For people complaining this had lot of bloodshed and unnecessary funny moments - you guys have to watch something else it's definitely not for you.
People saying that lot of Koreans are giving fake 10/10 reviews 😂 Thats funny because I really enjoyed this show. I'm not from Korean but I do have a thing for Korean Periodic dramas.
Since I've watched a lot of periodic dramas I've compared it a lil with them but I still say this one is on top of my list
The costumes are so beautiful.
I loved this drama for various reasons
Although the pace was slow initially it went according to the plot and everything was so perfect till the end.
All the actors from veterans to kids to the protogonists did their part well.
I can't stop admiring Ji Hoon- he's incredible from the start till the end. I like the way they portrayed his character development throught these six episodes from being a coward to being a leader, crown prince people root for.
Secondly Bae Doona and Seung Ryong - there's no doubt these two would be great by default just doing their thing.
The direction, cinematography, the script - every element is so strong and you'll start developing feelings for these characters.
You feel like you're a part of this show
*I guess I'm exaggerating*
Also the ending makes us realise that this is just a start.
Normally I'd predict everything that would happen but here I barely had time to even think of that ending.
I never really write reviews but few stupid reviews triggered me
From episode 1-6 you'll stay put in the same place and you won't get up untill you've watched till the episode 6.This happend to me!!!
* also get ready to die out of curiosity because season 2 won't be coming out any time soon*
I do understand that this drama is not for everyone watch it only of you'll accept their traditional aspects and only if you like zombie genre.
