This encompasses this show and just about everyone I see in the movies/TV. Why is it when you see someone bandaged that a red spot (blood) is showing thru the bandage? News flash, if there is blood showing on the outside of the bandage it is time to change the bandage!

This show has so many characters that I truly dislike, Benton and Romano are #s 1 & 1A. They seem to go out of their way to be A#1 creeps!

A comedy or what?
9 February 2022
I don't know what to think when Hollywood tries to have a laugh at people getting killed! I did not care for this movie all that much. I do like the actors Spencer Tracy and Van Johnson are two favorites of mine. However it really wasn't all that fun or factual. Fact is the Germans never had an aircraft carrier! So I am confused whether this film is a comedy or an act of pure fiction All in all a rather poor film.

This is pretty poor quality writing

The writers sure did have an off day here. They have a woman walking home alone late at night. Then some stranger, a fairly large black man starts to follow her. She ask him what he wants, gets no reply. She shoots the moron! Now they turn this into a racial incident! Ha, I would have shot the guy too! He did not respond to her repeated inquiries so she defends herself from a perceived threat. I see absolutely nothing wrong with that and nothing to prosecute a person over either.

Love Gunsmoke, however . . . . . .

The writing, the acting, the plots, it is my favorite tv show. However there is one thing that all Hollywood writers seem to do no matter what the show. They always make women out to be these weak little creatures. Women are not as weak as Hollywood writers make them out to be. I know a LOT of pretty women who are much stronger than I am and they are not weak at all. This episode states women are too weak to handle a six gun, that is so wrong. But it will always be so. My guess is men are afraid to admit that the girls are strong.

A real blast!

I saw this movie years ago for the first time and I recorded it on DVD. I really enjoy it. Richard Harris is a favorite of mine, I even like his singing. The supporting cast and the quality of the film is top shelf. I particularly enjoyed Roy Kinnear's part as the social director, a thankless job for sure, and he pulled it off so well. Shirley Knight as the lovely lady did a great job also. All in all a very enjoyable movie. If you ever get a chance to watch it, do yourself a favor and watch it.

There is a story this movie did not tell!
27 October 2021
That is the reason why they court martialed Capt. McVay. It seems the Capt.'s father disciplined a commander named King, the same Admiral King who was Navy chief of staff at the time of this incident. The egotistical and vindictive King saw his chance to get back at the McVay's and ordered the court martial even though most of his senior officers did not see any reason for this court martial. Egos, Lord save us from egotistical vindictive low life's like King.

Loved it.

Gorgeous Gwyneth Paltrow and one of my all time favorite actors Michael Douglas were great together in this movie. It was a very well done work. Michael Douglas was particularly good as the nasty money hungry husband. Gwyneth as the cheating spouse was played to perfection by Gwyneth. If you get a chance to see this film do yourself a favor.

Very entertaining movie

I saw this when it first came out in 2002. I enjoyed it then and I enjoyed it even more the second time. The ups and downs, the ins and outs and the ending was fine. Kind of restores the old faith in human nature thing. Ben Afleck and Samuel Jackson performed the parts extremely well. A very enjoyable film.

And the hits (mistakes) just keep on coming.

When Kate was introduced Rabb says she was there TDY. Wrong. TDY is used when a member is sent to a school or some form of training. The correct term is TAD. Temporary Additional Duty.

In this episode an enlisted man gets court martialed and reduced in rank from MK3 to a ? Seaman! First of all he was a Machinist Mate 3rd class which is an engineering rating. So he should have been reduced to Fireman not Seamen. He should have been wearing 3 red stripes not 3 white ones.

I do wish since they say this series praises the Navy that they get their facts straight. Just once would be nice.

The one where I decided I have had a gutful of that ignorant, egotistical, loud mouth moron Danny. Good God if that jackass ever, ever put his hands on me like he does everybody else he would not know what the hell hit the creep. I am so sick and tired of this loud mouth know it all jackass. I have stopped watching this show because of the Danny character. It's too bad every other character on the show are fantastic. Well there is always one and Wahlberg's character is it I can NOT stand the creep.

Just so ridiculous.
11 June 2021
In the opening of these episodes they state that Rabb, an aviator, could not fly anymore because of night blindness. Night blindness can be caused from birth or injury or vitamin deficiency. So I assume Harm suffered an injury. Now Harm unable to fly at night whatever shall we do? I got it, we'll make him a lawyer, same thing right! So when did Harm go to Law School? The show just automatically makes him a lawyer. I guess they don't realize he would have to go back to a law school, get another degree (in law) pass the bar and then get some experience to be a skillful attorney which the show automatically "poof" turns him into.

I said it before and I'll say it again, this show is a ridiculous joke.

More mis information
29 April 2021
This show never ceases to amaze me with all the wrong information it bestows on us. In one scene Tiner is talking about a filing system that he and the gunny (what does a gunnery serg know about filing systems) that they created. First of all the Navy (and Coast Guard) have a service wide filing system that EVERY one in the services use. Second medical files of discharged personnel are NOT kept at the Washington Naval Yard. They are hardly kept at all! When a member is discharged very little from the Medical record is kept. The member may take items he/she wants but this is seldom even offered to the members! Items which are questionable and may lead to a finding for a Medical Board are kept, but little else. Plus anything they do keep is kept at the NPRC in St. Louis MO. Good God this show is such a joke.

William Shatner has a hell of a press agent because his acting leaves an awful lot to be desired! His acting is shallow, phony and so amateurish so is Zmed's. Terrible acting and the writing is just so so.

All this dimwitted lady does is to bring down the unit, every chance she gets. She hardly ever has a good word for anybody. I cannot understand how someone like this can be in charge of any thing let alone an elite unit like this one. I cannot stand that woman.

Who was that lady?
12 August 2020
The detectives were walking by a cemetery and there was, I'm guessing, homeless lady standing there trying to get the attention of passersby's. I watched this episode several times and always wondered about her. I felt sorry for her.

Danny, Such a pain in the .....
30 June 2020
Donny Walberg's character really gets on my nerves. What's with him unshaven all the time. Every other male is clean and well shaven and his pompous egotistical character walks around always needing a shave! I guess this is the way the writers want this character to act, but as for me Walberg's character is one big pain in the butt. He is a stinking egotistical jackass and I cannot stand the jerk. I have stopped watching this show because of Walberg's character.

When they advertise under "Help Wanted" what do they do print "Only the egotistical nose up their butt morons need apply." " Bring your terrible sullen lousy attitudes to the County ER." Banfield is the last straw I give up watching any more of this.

We get rid of that completely obnoxious ignorant jackass Romano and instantly he is replaced by two more completely and totally obnoxious egotistical creeps, Gates and Crenshaw. Good God what is driving the writers of this series?

Why you might ask? Because that obnoxious, egotistical piece of crap Romano gets his obnoxious face punched in. I cannot understand why that didn't happen more often.

Coast Guard ship
7 May 2020
The ship portrayed as being the US Coast Guard Cutter Tamora was not the Tamora. The ship in the movie was a 210 foot Reliance class medium endurance cutter. The Tamora was a former U S Navy sea going tug boat and was 165 feet in length. Oh, it did not and never did have a helicopter landing deck. I really wish Hollywood would get their act together and stop with all of these lies and false information, when it is just as easy to tell the truth and show the real thing!

Not Again!
3 April 2020
I mentioned the fact that the jury makeup on this series was always in error. Well this one takes the cake! A Captain is being court martialed and in the jury sits an "enlisted" man! Good grief in real life that would N E V E R happen. Jag HQ is in the Washington DC area. There would be more than enough O-6's (Naval Captains or Marine Corps Colonels) to sit on this jury. As I stated before in a court martial the jury makeup is based on the rank of the person being tried. No jury member shall be below the rank of the person being tried. A Captain (O-6) was being tried.

And the hits (mistakes) just keep on coming!
25 March 2020
I have noticed in several episodes that the makeup of the juries are incorrect. The makeup of a court martial jury depends on the member being tried. No one below the rank of the person being tried should be seated on the jury. It was blatantly evident in this episode.

Egos on parade
24 March 2020
This episode shows a "nose up his butt" egotistical officer who, again, gets away with it. This is the reason I left the service after 12 years, I just could no longer put up stinking egotistical airheads like the commander in this episode. I despise creeps like him and the military bends over backwards to accommodate creeps like this guy.

Other glaring errors
13 March 2020
The military does NOT care if a member takes leave or not. They do NOT force a member to take leave, if they wish to lose it that is there concern. Stating the Admiral had to take leave is pure bull.

A service record is NOT one or two pieces of paper in a manila folder! Service records are in brown cardboard folders and are, depending on the length of time the member is in the service, could be quite full.

This one I have seen a number of times: when a member is court martialed the jury is made up of personnel whose rank is equal to or above the member being court martialed. There are never any member below the person's rank.
