After Sex (2007)
After Sex (Mila & Zoe ) - There's more!
I think the best sequence was the one with Mila Kunis and Zoe Saldana. Unfortunately, for some reason, the ending was cut. Not only did the ending complete the sequence, it was by far the most sensual, and interesting part. It was also one of the most erotic verbally descriptive scenes I have ever heard. It was from Zoe to Mila. It was so sensual and erotic, that part of it had to be whispered. My words are not doing it justice. This next sentence may merit a "Spoiler Alert." After Zoe's deeply moving erotic "words," Mila's cold character (Nikki) just melted and then admitted " You just made me so f
.. wet"
Fortunately, this fantastic "Unseen Director's Cut" was picked up by YouTube, and can be viewed on YouTube under "Mila Kunis and Zoe Saldana in After Sex (Unseen Director's Cut). It's too bad that everyone who watched that film won't get to see this: The best part of the best sequence of the entire film (AND THEY CUT IT!). Sorry, it infuriates me to think that they could do such a thing. Whatever the reason (It wasn't language, because the language was consistent with the language throughout the sequence), it wasn't good enough. Just my opinion!
Oh yes, YouTube has both the complete version and the incomplete version. Be sure you select the "Unseen Director's Cut."
Vinyl Dolls (2002)
Vinyl Dolls is a "Feel good" film with possibly a pleasant surprise
OK! I admit it. I watched this movie, hoping for some nice soft-core porn, and, perhaps, a little story line to keep it interesting enough to watch between the sex scenes. Also, although my expectations were not high, with the all girl band, I was hoping for a few girl/girl scenes (Actually, I was hoping for ALL girl/girl scenes). I was more than just a little disappointed about that (that may be a spoiler, so I'm checking "Spoiler," although that may matter little to most potential viewers).
However, I was pleasantly surprised when Tiffany Shepis (whose name is unfamiliar to me) joined the band, and the music actually sounded very pleasant (a very nice 80's rock type sound that I just happen to really enjoy). What a surprise! Now, I may have poor taste in music (although I really don't think so, because I play the tenor sax, love music, and I am really discriminating in my musical taste -for example, I dislike rap music in general, but I really enjoyed the rap music background theme to the movie "Dangerous Minds"), but music, like comedy, is subjective, and what sounds great to me, may cause your ears to bleed.
Still, I'm curious, I wonder if anybody else actually enjoyed the music after Tiffany Shepis became lead singer? Well, the "Dolls" were quite physically attractive, making them easy on the eyes, which complemented what our ears were experiencing, and maybe that, combined with Tiffany's sexy little crooked smile (which was so endearing that it affected me physically in a good way) to enhance their overall visual and musical output.
I think the sex scenes (although lacking any lesbian encounters How could they do that? It just isn't right. Isn't there some sort of law against that? If there isn't, there should be.) offered some of the best soft-core "get-togethers" that you could hope to find in this type of film. I know, my sentences tend to be a bit long - I'm working on it. Again, the girls were all beautiful and on screen a large amount of the time. If the music doesn't offend you, and you don't mind sacrificing a little "depth of plot" for excellent visual stimulation and a bonus "Feel good ending," I would recommend this delightfully light and pleasant story.
Also,(keeping in mind that it is so very easy to prejudge, and feel that no music in a low budget soft porn film of this type could possibly be good and this is a safe and easy assumption to make), I have a feeling that some viewers (if they really keep an open mind) may truly enjoy a large portion of the music that this film has to offer.
Enemy of the State (1998)
Excellent, perfectly cast, thought provoking thriller!
This was an excellent, well thought out, intelligent, masterpiece of a thriller! It's the best film I've seen since "Fugitive-The Movie" It is well done in so many ways that I don't know where to begin, so I'll just mention the high points that come to mind immediately. First of all, Will Smith, Gene Hackman, and Jon Voight are so well cast in their characters that it is scary.
Jon Voight is so good in his character as the sophisticated, cold hearted, fiendishly clever villain that it seems the part was made for him and only him. What a bad guy! You had to hate him (like Ernest Borgnine as the mean stockade Sergeant in "From Here to Eternity"). His character was so cold, calculating, and uncaring about humans, other than himself, that it was a pleasure to watch and try to understand his take on the events that took place, and how he justified his views.
Gene Hackman, as Brill, was such an integral part of this fast moving, thought provoking film, that without him as the perfectly cast ex-CIA Agent, the story would not have worked (and with him, it worked so very well). Hackman was a pleasure to watch, and his character was so fascinating and he played him so well that Smith, at times, just shook his head when I doubt that it was in the script.
Will Smith's character needed him so desperately, that it would have taken three or more very good actors to fill in all the missing pieces that "Brill" did alone and was such an interesting character to watch every second that he was on the screen. The whole privacy issue part of the plot was dealt with so well that one had to give it serious thought after the film the pace of the action didn't allow for (discussion type) deep thought during the film. As the plot unfolded, "Brill" explained to us (the viewers) much of what was going on through his conversations with and schooling of Smith's character. A technique that I enjoy, because we learned as he learned - as much as they wanted us to know at any given point in time in the story.
Smith's character was beautifully cast in the typical "Alfred Hitchcock" formula of placing a somewhat ordinary person in an extraordinary situation, and then, we watch to see how he uses his wits to cope, while we subconsciously place ourselves in his situation and think at each step, what we -ourselves- would do in such a scenario. Beautiful.
Women: Stories of Passion: Room 1503 (1997)
This is a delightful, touching, well written and executed story
Note: I commented earlier on what I thought was this story, but actually was a story called VooDoo - listed as episode 22 (My particular cable company listed "Room 1503" as episode 22). Sorry, this was my first response ever and I made a mistake.
This is the first time I was ever moved enough to respond to a story. The story is "Women: Stories of Passion" - 1997 - Title "Room 1503. First of all, my complements to the main characters (Lisa Welti and Kendahl Thompson) for their superb, erotic, and excellent acting. You MUST see them to fully appreciate these combined qualities. Any potential viewers are in for a delightful journey. I am a guy and must say that this story is not gender specific. It is what I call a "Feel good story", can be enjoyed by anyone, and leaves the viewer with a satisfied warm feeling inside.
I certainly won't give away anything that will spoil it for potential viewers (I, really hate it myself when that is done), but the story itself is very well thought out and executed in a very classy manner. When viewing this story, in order to do it justice, one must pay very close attention from beginning to end, because a number of small things are done and said that must be digested in order to fully appreciate this touching little adventure in it's entirety.
I enjoyed this so much that I was a little sad when it ended. I wish it had been longer, but actually all that needed to be done - was done. It was complete. I just wish another chapter, with the same cast of characters, at the same level of entertainment, could be done (Yes, that is a request for a sequel!) Also, the ladies in the story are extremely attractive.
