L.A.'s Finest (2019)
haha. so bad.
You wanna see fat jessica alba? Then go for it.
You don't wanna waste your time? Then watch anything else.
The Conjuring: The Devil Made Me Do It (2021)
Conjuring went full generic
Dunno what were they thinking.
It's not as fun as the first two. Cliché deluxe.
Minari (2020)
Somebody forgot to write a half of the story
It's only OK. If you dig a new Hollywood's fetish for Asians, then you'll love it.
If you're a normal person, then you will be asking yourself what's all the buzz about a movie we've seen a thousand times.
BTW. Yuh-jung You really deserved the Oscar!
Nomadland (2020)
It could be a good documentary...
...but unfortunately it isn't. What we get is a lazy story told a million times - about grieve, acceptance & letting go. Even Sound of metal did it better.
I can't figure it out why this move got Oscar(s!). It feels like a student film.
McDormand, while she was awesome in Three billboards,
her role in Nomadland just isn't worthy of Oscar.
The Liberator (2020)
it's OK, just don't expect Band of brothers/pacific
I'd give it 2 stars because of the jerky animation. It's so annoying. As a hardcore gamer, to me it felt like i'm watching something with 10 fps (frames per second). Character animation is bearable and has it's charm, but when camera is panning it just feels so JERKY... like they had a Celeron machine for rendering.
+++ world war 2
+ nice style of animation
+ dick winters #2
+ characters
+ jail recruiting scene ( ! )
+ voice work
- boring action scenes
- repetition of bombard scenes
- lack of broader story
- hilarious running animations
- nothing original (except animation)
--- jerky low fps feel to everything
You Only Live Twice (1967)
aged like milk
Try to watch it in 2020. I dare you! It's SO stupid. Ton of Austin Powers material.
Bad directing, stupid dialogues, asian voice actors are hilarious. And dunno why is Connery so praised. He's the same in 3/4 of the movies.
2/10 for hotties.
Milice 2 (2017)
Warning: You'll feel suicidal after watching this
There's nothing worst. I'd rather high five Hitler, then watch this again. Don't waste a minute of your life on this rotten roadkill of a so-called movie. Disgusting.
The Hallow (2015)
Better than expected
Quality camera work, ok acting, no long boring parts. Fun creature feature.
Body Bags (1993)
Sam Raimi and Mark Hamill are in it!
Must see if you're a fan of Tales from the Crypt. It's just great. One of the best Hamill's performances. "A must see" for old school horror fans.
The Con Is On (2018)
This movie has only one purpose...
If you don't have enough motivation for a suicide... just watch this.
You can thank me in the afterlife.
Relic (2020)
nothing special
Had potential. I get it... movie is a representation of dementia.. but could be done better.
G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra (2009)
Genericly bad
You want to see some of the worst CGI? Wooden acting?
Then this movie is a gold mine for you.
If not... don't waste your time. Only redeeming factor is Scarlet with her boobs.
Knives Out (2019)
You want some Chai latte with your Agatha Christie?
Great cast. But as expected,.. nothing original. Don't waste your money and time.
If you're into murder mystery genre... then go watch Murder on Orient express.
Way more fun.
Zombieland: Double Tap (2019)
It's OK
Great cast, Abigail Breslin steals the show.
The movie Is not cinema worthy IMO. But if you're a fan of a Z1, then it's a MUST SEE. I gave it a 6 because there was so much potential that wasn't used.
A Star Is Born (2018)
The Gaga Saga and how There was no reason of making a Mary Sue character
Negatives:
- All dialog feels like small chat
- Poor editing
- No sense of time (feels like everything happens in a week)
- One way characters
- Mary Sue Syndrome (why isn't her backstory explained? why is she just AWESOME from the beginning of everything she does? feels forced. They could easily forgo this and just write a normal character that grows and learns of her experience)
Positives: + Gaga was decent + I guess the music is ok if you're into this genre
Breathless (2012)
So slow, you'll think that time runs backwards
You really have to be a fan of the actors, to sit thru the whole movie. It's just so slow and predictable.
I wasn't really hyped and didn't expect much when i watched the trailer ... but damn was i ever so right. The movie wants to be smart but fails with long, pointless dialogues. Twist? Well... Let's say that it looks like Captain Obvious wrote the whole thing.
Scenery? Two locations. That's it. Seriously. Acting is fair. Val Kilmer does a good job in a brief funny role. Ray Liotta and Gina Gershon are decent but far from their best.
And all the gore that wants to be "over the head" is unnecessary. It just makes movie even more shallow.
Watch it if your life depends of it... But rather just pass.
Garage Club (2009)
warm animation with shallow story lines
The animation series is about a teenage band and their dreams of being a huge music act. Characters are simple. We got the band, which line-up consists of stereotypical musicians. On the other hand we have neighbors which are classical bad guys masked in ordinary people. And this one is a bit off.... we have a rat that is identical (twin) to the Ice Age's squirrel Scrat, and because of that it's somehow the best character in the series.
The bright spot is animation. 3D with it's textures does give nice & colorful cartoon feeling, which i found lacking in other, even newer cartoons. Overall it's alright short animated series, which appeals more because of the animation style, then the story. But what is the target audience for the show? what age? it's lacking good child humor and it's not demanding enough to be suitable for a bit older children. 5/10
