Somebody Somewhere (2022)
1st season=fantastic. 2nd season=too sad
I love love loved the 1st season, I have only good things to say about it, 0 complaints. I just finished episode 6 of season 2 and Ive been waiting for something good to happen. Yes, each episode has some light moments, but the overall theme is just sadness, despair, shame, guilt... Of course sadness is real, sadness is a part of all of us, but that's just it - I have enough sadness of my own, I don't want to feel crappy at the end of every episode. I'll watch episode 7 since I think its the last one of the season, but I don't think I'll be back for season 3 unless something good happens to Sam. Its a shame, because I agree with so many others who say its unique, its not sanitized, its not fake, its real people in real life, etc.
The Good Wife: Mind's Eye (2015)
Ugh what a waste of time
I, like many others who have reviewed this episode, love the show. I just started watching it this year and have enjoyed it immensely. Ever since she started running for State's Attorney, though, I haven't enjoyed it as much. I miss seeing her in court. I almost want her to lose, just so she gets back there. Anyway...this episode was just awful. I don't know what they were trying to do, but whatever it was, they failed. I wish I had skipped it, but I thought "surely something is going to happen" but no. No nothing ever did. For anyone reading this who hasn't seen the show, don't let this episode or these reviews scare you away. Just skip this one.
Better Things (2016)
Unlike anything I've seen
I have a love/hate relationship with this show. I love how it's not the same old crap, I love how it shows me a family full of flaws, I love how it exposes me to to lifestyles nothing like mine or anybody I know, and challenges me to get out of my comfort zone. I hate the 2 older daughters Max and especially Frankie. Rude, ungrateful, disrespectful, and cruel. They don't deserve their mother. It's not all their fault, though, she lets them get away with murder and they never have consequences for their actions. It makes the show unrealistic and hard to watch sometimes.
Reprisal (2018)
I should have listened
I should have heeded the advice of the scores of people leaving bad reviews for this movie. I usually prefer to use my own judgement, but boy oh boy was I wrong. I thought "Bruce Willis is in it, how bad can it be?" Answer: so bad. So, so bad. Bad acting, bad directing, bad editing, bad chemistry between the characters, continuity errors, etc. Bad, just really bad. How many times can I say "bad"???? Not enough times to truly convey how bad it really is. Please listen to me and all the others and don't waste your time.
