Buffy the Vampire Slayer: School Hard (1997)
Spike pwned the "Annointed One"
As everyone has already said, this episode is absolutely epic for its introduction of two of the greatest characters to hit the show: Spike and Dru. There are so many great moments in this episode- pretty much everything Spike and Dru do and say, really. But my favorite moment of the episode has to be at the very end, when Spike gives us one of the coolest death scenes ever on Buffy (for me, it gets beat out only by Jenny's brutal neck-snapping death in Passion, and the massive alternate universe bloodbath at the end of The Wish). If you've seen the episode, you know what I'm talking about. And if you haven't seen this episode, what the hell are you waiting for? 9.5/10
Creature (1998)
A could-have-been-good snooze-fest
Oh. My. God. This. Movie. Lasts. For. Ever.
It's not the longest movie ever made by a long shot, but holy crap, it feels like it. The concept itself is fairly interesting, if not overly original, but it's handled horribly. The storytelling is weak, and the dialogue weaker. The monster itself is somewhat scary until they actually show it. It looks so laughably pathetic that it's impossible to be even the slightest bit spooked thereafter. The director and writers for this movie also clearly have very little notion of how to create good suspense. If you decide you want to watch this movie, place a 'dunce cap' on your head and go sit in the corner for an hour. Then either read the book or watch Jaws or something. Hell, Jaws: The Revenge (and everyone knows how well THAT movie came out) might be better and more interesting than this film.
Overnight Delivery (1998)
Brings you in
This movie was surprisingly good. It's not the best-written or most original idea, but the comedy is surprisingly good. Also, Paul Rudd and Reese Witherspoon have great chemistry on-screen, and their comedic delivery is superb. The mail-truck driver is funny, as well. Not to mention that it's got Christine Taylor (you might know her from "The Wedding Singer", "Zoolander", or "Dodgeball").
In the end, it's one of those movies that you'll probably only watch when you have nothing else to do. So the next time you're really bored and have nothing to do, watch this movie- I think you'll be pleasantly surprised.
