The Godfather Part II (1974)
how the godfather part 2 lived up to its predecessor
Wow, this film is amazing! The flashbacks of young Vito becoming a well-respected man building his empire compared with Michael, leading it into destruction, killing his brother, kicking out his wife and turning his own sister into a woman who is mistreated by men make great contrast. The beginning with the house and the family in total darkness, forced and fake happiness compared with the light hearted party in the first film where people are actually having fun, is just great. Going to Cuba and a greedy world full of Americans that cannot last forever, I just love. In the first film when he shoots his enemies it has got music and a sense of victory to it, while the murders in the second film feel sad and dark. How in the first film one of his goons shut the door on his wife, whereas now he himself shuts the door.
Well, that is it, I hope you liked it.
The Godfather (1972)
The Godfather is an amazing piece of art
The shot of the darkness of the crime and the lightness of the family in the beginning is one of my favourite bits. Not just in Godfather, but across both of the Godfather films.
The anger of Sonny and that being what destroys him and the nice gentleness of Vito, and what you think is a nice college boy, Michael, becoming an evil psychopath and how Sicily is like a back in time place, and Michael becoming Godfather for his nephew and his crime family at the same time is just brilliant.
I really can't say more.
Super Size Me 2: Holy Chicken! (2017)
Why this is better than the original
The original was good. But this one properly goes into the corruption of big chicken, and these poor farmers being kicked out of their homes, it just makes me so angry. How they crush anyone that disagrees with them. It's got a great plot, and makes you hate the evil of corporate control over small farmers.
Super Size Me (2004)
why supersize me changed fast food
Supersize me changed how we think about fast food today. It shows how fat their food really is. It makes you hate McDonalds, if you haven't seen it I recommend it. And it is a great film, I was so entertained. Just watch it!
Batman: The Telltale Series (2016)
The second-best Batman ever made
This is not as good as the Dark Knight film trilogy but it's pretty close. It's a great addition to the comics. The plot is good. Joker wasn't in it very much s tantalising to see that he may be back in a season 2. Harvey Dent was a bit too much of a show of. The penguin is interesting but he's not the penguin he is the comics. Cat woman has excellent voice acting and is bing on the nail. Commissioner Gordon is quite good. The Arkham Aslyum is portrayed as a grim and gloomy place.
The Dark Knight Rises (2012)
This is the brilliant way to end the trilogy.
I knew it was going to be a masterpiece but I didn't know it was going to be this good. Forget the Bane in Batman and Robin, this one is brilliant. Like the Dark Knight it also has three main characters. Bane, Batman and Catwoman. This is the best superhero film ever made. SPOILER ALERT Bane is a horrible terrorist who raised Ra's al ghul's daughter, Talia, in prison. I like how he wears a mask. Even under all his badness and destruction he still has love for Talia. She is the only goodness in Bane. He will do anything for Talia in his crazy love for her. He is not just a character who goes around destroying things, but he also talks a lot. They managed to make him quite human and not a caricature of an evil villain. He's worse than the Joker. He never saw daylight when he was a boy. His character is kind of charming as well as horrible and ruthless. He ties with the Joker in my favourite baddies. He's like a father to Talia. Next Batman. Batman is suffering from Rachel dying. He's living alone in a gloomy mansion with Alfred trying to cheer him up. He can't get over the fact that Rachel died and that joker turned Harvey dent evil. He's not scared of death any more. He's dark and in the rain. It takes him a long time to become Batman again. He's almost committing suicide with darkness. Last but not least Catwoman. Catwoman is an escaped convict. A thief like Robin Hood. She's cool, sneaky and clever. After she betrays Batman she joins the side of the good and sells Bruce Wayne's fingerprints to Daga and Bane. She's sophisticated. Even though she's naughty and a criminal she still had a good side demonstrated when she throws an apple to a poor boy starving on the streets. She's gone through a rough life. She knows how to deal with men who want to play rough. When she was sent to prison a man tried to harass her and she broke his arm. She ends up marrying Bruce Wayne. I think this is one of the best films ever made. It's brilliant because it's got a lot of detail a lot of action and a lot of story. It's interesting and entertaining at the same time. If you like Batman, then you must see this.
The Dark Knight (2008)
This is my second favourite film ever
Heath Ledger died making one of the best films ever. I'm glad that we remember him for this and not one of the Joel Schumacher films. It's good to have a good Two Face again. It's got three characters in it. The Joker, Batman and Harvey Dent. Joker plays a psychotic maniac. You get to know the Joker and you get to find the joker entertaining and understand why he wants to do all of these things. You get to know what he wants and why he wants that and he is able to destroy batman in so many ways he can't even choose one. He is like the joker version of moriarty. He is sneaky. He is crazy. He is blood thirsty. He is one of my favourite baddies in the whole of film history. You get to know him more and more. He finds the weakness of everybody and uses that against them. How he turns Harvey dent evil is so brilliant. Next Batman. Batman is the dark knight. A vigilante who loses everything. He doesn't play the hero. He plays more of a dark mysterious man. He has a really good relationship with Alfred. You get to know them so well. The joker doesn't out act him. Spoiler alert- not only losing his parents but also when Rachel gets blown up you feel really sorry for him. The film doesn't put Batman Begins to shame. Last but not least Harvey dent. Harvey is a brilliant District Attorney. It's finally good to have a good two face again unlike Batman forever. Most of his role is Harvey dent and hardly any two face. He is brave. He is the hero of the story. He loves Rachel. All the actors are really good performers. I liked every bit of the film except the bit where he goes to Hong Kong. Every bit of joker is brilliant. The Robbery, The hospital blowing up. Every single scene is perfect. The joker is the icing on the cake.
Batman Begins (2005)
The best Batman ever to be made
This is one of the best Batman films ever made Its brilliant. It shows you Bruce Wayne as a boy and makes you feel for him. It shows you why Batman is so grumpy. It has a brilliant setting. It's actually a good film despite not having the joker in it. You get to know Bruce Wayne really well. Michael Caine really shines in his role as Alfred. Morgan Freeman does a great job at being effectively a "squire" for the dark "knight", sorting his armour and weapons. You get to understand why the baddies are doing things. You appreciate that everyone has their own side to the story. His origin story and childhood is really interesting. You get to see him as a boy. You get to see every stage on the path to becoming the dark knight. It's like the Tim Burton film but even better. I'd heard all the reviews of it, but I couldn't see how anything could beat the Tim Burton films until this came out. Everything about it shines.
Doctor Who: Heaven Sent (2015)
Cheap, dull and pretentious
The monster was scary. The first part was ok. But the rest of the episode was monotonous. The second worst doctor who episode I have ever seen. At least it didn't cost much money to make. They only used one actor and reused the same footage over and over again.
