I Am Legend (2007)

Nicely done

I was simply amazed by this film. And I was fully satisfied.

You take a good actor, you add a touch of a describing screen play, melt to wildlife cliché and straighten with a good (realistic) story, and it's done! you got one of the best zombies' related films.

The story on itself was interesting. I loved how the "infected" was introduced. Half zombies (lack of human feeling) half vampires (fear sun light)! Guess it's the ultimate monster protagonist ever made :) However, it'll have been more interesting if they talked more about how the pledge spread. And may be leave Neville alive! a prequel & more likely a sequel will not be a waste.

Creatures was also a success. Their look, moves, toughs, it was simply amazing!

Hope we'll see quality films like this one more often.

The Atlantis myth takes form

At last, the right show to revive the Atlantis myth.

I'm pretty interested about myths, more exactly the Bermuda triangle and sea monsters, mermaids... Actually, I've never found any interesting movies and/or TV show related to this topics. I'm well served with the Mercy Reef :P

It's pretty impressive for a pilot. It makes you get inside the whole story in a brilliant way. Actors are really impressive, they're strongly in their character, performing terrifically.The story on itself is well introduced. The decor is quickly planted, giving you time to concentrate on characters' role.

It seems that we're going to witness a kind of modern fairytale, involving an exiled prince from the legendary Atlantis, facing evil of his own people. Unnatural behavior, inhuman powers, morphing, and so on are at the rendezvous, deploying a minimum of creativity and imagination that should keep this show tuned, and satisfy the thirst of modern aquatic stories for more than one.

The FX are an undeniable part of the success, as sea creatures should be a big part of the buzz. We've imagine mermaids, but what'll see is more than a fantasy! It'll haunt your dreams ;)

This nowadays fairytale has began, beware to drown on it ;)

I can't believe that I watched the whole movie.

The title was perfect! I was expecting a lot, but all I got is a lame scenario with a weak plot, lame actors, and the creature! "The entity"… That was awful.

There's no doubt, it's not the movie that I'll watch over and over. Besides, it was pretty educational. I can now recognize poor stories in the fly… and these are some tips : 1) If actors seem to read their script to act, just stop watching ; 2) If you got a lot of definitions, to explain obvious stuff, also literally read, just cut the damn movie off; 3) If you see a creature supposed to come from nowhere, following a logical path, I'll say it again : just-cut-it-off.

The theme was interesting. May be if they've concentrate on characters and creature development instead of trying to look scientific, making some theory heard and said takes form… This movie shouldn't even exist.

Whatever, it reveals what American people are expecting from their government facing the unknown : nuclear bombing, a little good talk to morn the loss, and right after explain that it was a painful but a necessary decision…

Can't we put negative score to punish the weakest stuff?
