Shôgun: A Dream of a Dream (2024)
What a ride
The finale of Shogun is, like the whole buildup was, a masterstroke of storytelling brilliance that left me utterly fulfilled. As the curtains close on this monumental series, it's abundantly clear that it has cemented its place in television history as one of the greatest of all time.
Every frame of the final episode is a testament to the meticulous craftsmanship and unwavering dedication of its creators. From the stunning cinematography to the hauntingly beautiful score, every aspect of this series reaches new heights of excellence unseen in nowadays TV.
And as we bid farewell to this extraordinary journey, I can't help but feel grateful for the opportunity to have been a part of it. Bravo, Shogun. You will be sorely missed.
Poketto monsutâ: The Distant Blue Sky (2022)
What an ending, wow
I haven't watched Pokemón since S04, even playing all the games. I just think the anime lost it's bright for me long ago. Well, I'm glad I came back for the last episodes because I'm baffled. Nostalgia hit hard in this one, a episode to be rated up there with that magical first one. Thanks The Pokemon Company, for making such a wonderful fan service and finally wraping up Ash's (Satoshi) saga... You just totally got this 35 year old kid hyped up for the new series. If it keeps the quality of this end of season and the spinoffs they're putting on the official website it'll problably be amazing. Can't wait for it.
Stranger Things: Chapter Nine: The Piggyback (2022)
Eleven is annoying
Actually, 70% of the cast is annoying at this point. I see why people want them killed so bad. This series lost its magic long ago, now I'll just hope the bad guys win at S05.
The Purge: 7:01am (2019)
Disappointing
It was a cool season up to the bad conclusion in the last couple episodes. I really thought this would be a nice season finale, but it was the worst episode of the season. Maybe I had created too high expectations and forgot this has always been a silly franchise. Hoping for a season 03 anyway.
The Purge: Hail Mary (2019)
Weak point of the season
Everything was very well and interestingly trimmed up to this point. But for me this episode was a let down when compared to the other ones of this season. It should have been the pinnacle of it, but it haven't delivered. The Esme plot became boring in a couple of episodes. Marcus' neighborhood last scene? Come on, I know it's 'The Purge' but it was just unrrealistic. I mean, for 2 years they were plotting to purge him and everyone related to him if needed. Ryan's gang is entertaining but just ok, very predictable heist stuff since e01. Ben's actor performance is a high here, he looked so stupid and silly on the first episodes and now he's a belieavable psycho. I think we will still get a good (yet predictable) season finale, but this episode was just a 6.5/10.
