Cannonball Run rules!!!
12 June 2006
Captain Chaos, The Rat Pack, Terry Bradshaw and Mel Tillis! Burt, Roger Moore, and Mr...um...Foyt! Some say this isn't a masterpiece, there are no digital effects or Oscar nominated performances. Please! It's just fun watching some of the greats who have passed on and some others who were in their prime having a blast doing a movie that makes little sense and that's just the way I like it. I promise you will laugh and you won't know why, but you won't care! Great movie for anyone who wants to have a beer with his friends and watch a funny, pointless, silly movie. Unfortunately, I also recommend Peter Jackson's King Kong for the same reasons.

King Kong (2005)

Perfect example of a digital train wreck.

This is by far the worst piece of garbage I have ever seen. No characters, goofy comedy mixed in with digital monsters, and absolutely no sense of drama. King Kong shows why digital effects can ruin a picture. If you concentrate on nothing more, that is exactly what you get, nothing more. I loved the Lord of the Rings trilogy, but it took place in a fantasy world, you believe a little more. Kong is suppose to take place on earth, it was a bit too much to swallow. Everything Peter Jackson accomplished with Lord of the Rings has now been diminished with his remake of King Kong. Shame on all you critics who praised this movie as a marvel. I think you forgot what movies are all about. If you want to see how it's done, watch the original. It stands the test of time...this one will not.
