A Waste of Time
20 January 2009
This was a waste of time. As if the slew of annoying commercials every 3 minutes wasn't bad enough, the whole thing stunk to high heaven of poorly manufactured farce. Even trying to get ten lines of text to make this comment worthy of the IMDb commentary is tough. What can you say about another idiotic TV show thrust upon the viewing public? Let's see - waste of time - yep. Waste of film - yep. Bad acting - Oh yeah. It's like they rolled the dice and came up with an excuse to get more air time for commercials featuring absolutely worthless products that no one needs. Animal Planet is getting just as bad as the Discovery Channel and the History Channel when it comes to commercials. Did I mention that an over abundance of commercials sucks? Current TV industry greed is way over the line.

Gimme me a break
2 June 2008
A very bad attempt to pull off a David Lynch/Cohen Brothers/Tarantino. Bad acting, excessively annoying characters, and long, drawn-out, irrelevant scenes. Humor? - only when you consider the moronic idiocy of immature college students trying to impress. Ten lines of text needed to complete this comment before it can be submitted ---- OK. Let's see. The film was tedious, and dumb, and lousy, and unbelievable, and hideous, and annoying, and the sound was terrible, and the number of irrelevant scenes was exasperating, and the swat team was laughable and I'm having a really hard time trying to compile 10 lines of commentary on a film that was better left in the "bad idea" stage.

Annoying and Confusing
24 January 2008
Each of these movies gets further and further away from the elements that made the first one so successful - the mind game, and the fact that the victims each have a choice on how much they're willing to suffer in order to save their own life.

Instead, what we have here is a montage of disconnected scenes that just don't flow well - replete with lousy editing and annoying camera work. It's shot like a bad MTV video. Half second shots here, 1 second shots there, a couple of frames blasted at you in between, and you're wondering what the hell's going on - and the genius of the great special effects work gets lost in the process.

The character development of the supporting actors isn't that good either. At different times you're wondering who this person is, and what role he/she plays in the overall story. The whole idea of this type of serial killer is a great premise, but it's evolved into a disjointed Road Runner Cartoon that isn't fun to watch anymore.

I don't know how anyone could wade through the confusion to absorb enough of (what passes for) a plot to even come up with a spoiler.

Cringing is putting it mildly
21 May 2006
When I think of this movie, I still cringe...

At the time, liberals were committing suicide, running off to Canada, spitting on GI's (I was one back then), and burning flags. A favorite pastime was hating Dick Nixon 24/7 for covering up a 2-bit political crime that he had no knowledge of at the time it happened. Lots of angst for hippies back in them thar days! And as with all things liberal, reality is often replaced with fantasy (most often provided by Hollywood and TV (Primary Colors, The West Wing, etc.)- where the villains are all old rich white guys (probably republicans) and the superheroes are caring, nurturing pensive, (and often troubled) liberals.

The times were ripe for Billy Jack. Just how much boring, agonizing, inane peace/love/nurture/defiance/hate/revenge/anti-establishment whining , drivel and psyche-torture can be jam packed into a 2-hour cinema experience? Watch the movie and find out.

It's the next best thing to having a hangover and watching Martin Sheen do a love scene with Bea Arthur.
