Strange Wilderness (2008)
Hilarious and yet, somehow forgettable. the reason for laughter often forgotten moments later.
I found this movie very funny. I saw it with my wife, worried she'd hate, like she did superbad and knocked up. She too, found it funny. Except for Jonah Hill, who really ruined her experience of Superbad. In Superbad, his character is foul and unforgivably misogynistic. In this film, he is simply a waste of space, his lines often trailing off into incomprehensible muttering. Luckily, his lines were few. I'd imagine many ended up on the cutting room floor.
But aside from Hill, the rest of the cast all had their moments that ended with the audience in stitches. I've read some terrible ratings for this movie, and I don't understand why. I believe some reviewers simply think they are above potty humour, and are hypocrites when they make some fart joke in private or see Waiting for Godot and laugh at Vladimir's apparent STD.
If the trailer for the movie made you laugh, then you don't need to fear being let down, the rest of the movie holds up and the laughs are rarely interrupted.
CSI: NY (2004)
it sucks. hard.
CSI rules.
Miami is very different, but good at what it does differently.
New York... they have no identity. boring Unestablished actors, dumb or implausible plot lines no Sarah no Horatio TERRIBLE, and that Brooklyn accent guy! I want to punch him.
They need one actor with character. I'd recommend Michael Richards. Or how about a Black actor to run the CSI? three white men? come on, really?
I think a foreign spin off would have been a better idea. How about CSI: London, with Mr. Bean! That would have to be more entertaining than this.
