Time Is Up (2021)

Just bad

The plot is put together in the most awkward way. Not sure if the editor is just bad, or they had very little to work with. Some cuts just don't make any sense.

The dialogue is flat and cheesy and extremely unconvincing.

Also, were they in high-school? College? The girl was in high-school and the guys in college? Unclear.

There are other teen love stories that are just made better. Feel free to pass this one.

On an unrelated point, the female lead seem to have some surgery done. It's none of my business of course, but it seem to have affected her speech and at times it was hard to understand what she was saying because her mouth barely moved.

Moonlight (I) (2016)

Started good, ended in cliché

The first two acts were interesting and well played. I was moved by the simplicity that many people liked about this film. And then, the last part, which supposed to close the story in a certain way to give it meaning, was just really bad. It was not convincing and it was so cliché. I still can't believe that there weren't better movies to give an Oscar to during that year. One of the most overrated films I've seen in a long time.
