Young Mr. Lincoln Review
28 February 2019
Young Mr. Lincoln is directed by John Ford, he has been involved with many other projects including Stagecoach, The Informer, Fort Apache, and My Darling Clementine. He doesn't just let the characters tell the story he uses nature too, the river is one example of many. The dialogue could be off sometimes with some of the side characters but Henry Fonda who plays Lincoln was given the best lines and had the best delivery in the film.

His Girl Friday Review
20 February 2019
His Girl Friday was filmed in 1940 and directed by Howard Hanks. This screwball comedy stars Rosalind Russell and Cary Grant. This film was more fast pace than I thought it would be, it's not an action movie but the way the dialogue is delivered it doesn't get boring like movies made in the 40's can get. This films shows how much comedy has changed through the years, back then they were able to make clever jokes without profanity.

Dracula Review
13 February 2019
Dracula is one the first horror films that helped horror become one of the more popular genres. Bela Lugosi's performance as Dracula carried the film as he was able to show the creepy side of him. Some of the shots in the film slowly zoom into his face to show the Dracula is someone you don't want to face to face with. This film might be extremely outdated but it's considered a classic horror movie.

Scarface Review
6 February 2019
Scarface shows how gangs were able to control their cities with little to no consequences. Hollywood made this film to make the government aware that they need to stop the mob before it gets out of hand. Paul Muni's acting is top notch for his time but Ann Dvorak who plays his sister not so much. Her delivery for every line comes out corny. This film is good for it's time with the resources they had in the 1930's

The Silent Robin Hood
30 January 2019
Robin Hood shows how silent movies improved over the years. The budget was significantly larger than other silent films, with the castle and all of the extras in the film. The film helped you understand it better with more title cards than other silent films. The film is the first of many Robbin Hood movies. After this was released many more followed in it's place and they probably won't stop coming out of the box office. It's an entertaining silent film.
