It took him long enough

Warning: Spoilers
Finally a good episode from the useless hack that is Chris Chinnail. From what I've gathered from this episode, Chibs and the BBC have finally got themselves off the floor and are ready to focus more on good writing and storytelling over "the message". I believe that this is what everyone has been waiting for and me personally I really enjoyed this episode.

Firstly, Jodie Whitaker was somehow not annoying at all throughout the episode which is surprising because so far all her doctor has managed to do is scream at the audience to "do better" (let me remind everyone of the nightmare that is Orphan 55) and has been stale in comparison to everyone who came before her so seeing her doctor in this way is rather refreshing. Also, John bishop was great as Dan and I like how naturally he was brought into the story and characters.

I also really enjoyed the story of the episode and I'm all for this being a six part arc with interweaving plot lines and characters as it is Chris Chibnail's biggest strength when it comes to writing.

Finally, I believe that this series has a lot of potential if Chibs and the BBC can stick the landing. The reduced episodes can work in their favour as they can be much more flexible with the budget when compared to a 10 episode series. Overall the Halloween apocalypse (although it suffers from some pacing issues) is a good start to the series and i give it an (8/10)

Fun, bloody and just an all round good time!
1 August 2021
I can't even begin to describe how much of an improvement this is over Suicide Squad (2016). James Gunn rises to the occasion to create a brutal, stunning and accurate depiction of a group of super villains battling against the odds to save the world. Some of the characters from the previous film such as Amanda Waller and Rick Flag are much better in this one and all of the new characters are also given room to breath and develop.

This film is also very emotional at times and contains some very heavy themes about government corruption and experimentation. This film is also very brutal with people getting ripped in half, shot in the face and decapitated all of which are followed with explosions of blood.

All in all this is a fantastic experience and if you are looking for something good to watch in the cinema this is definitely worth your time. (8/10)

Bloodborne is a masterpiece that is worth playing and is still acknowledged to this day. Definitely worth playing even if your not a very big FromSoftware fan.

An extremely disjointed game

Warning: Spoilers
The game is outstanding! Some of the best story telling i have ever seen in a video game however the switch over of characters half way through the game can lead to the story feeling clunky and disjointed at times. 8/10

Good but very uncomfortable

Great episode except the whole premise and concept is very uncomfortable to think about and there are some very edgy scenes within the episode. 9/10

How can you make a show this bad? The writers need to be sacked ASAP.

Watchmen (2019)

One of (if not) my favourite HBO show
9 March 2020
Warning: Spoilers
Wow what an experience! I finished this series just before Christmas and was planing to make this review earlier but I didn't know how to approach it.

During the show's first two episodes I felt conflicted on wether or not I really truly enjoyed it but when episode three came round I was hooked from that point to the end.

I can honestly understand why people don't enjoy this show I mean it's clearly not for everyone especially those who are a big fan of the Zack Snider movie, which I thought was okay, and I can respect those who give it a low rating or bad review because at the end of the day it's your opinion on wether you like this show or not

I'm also glad we won't be getting a second season because even though I think this show is great I don't want it to be ruined by endless seasons and recycled storylines.

My favourite episode of the season was six- this extraordinary being Because it explored the origin of what a realistic vigilante would be portrayed as and what would motivate them in a grounded and thought-provoking way. It is also really smart storytelling to show it from the the perspective of Angela Abar.

My least favourite episode of the season was two- martial feats of Comanche horsemanship because nothing really happened that drove the plot or the characters in meaningful ways and was just there to set up what was to come.

The finale was great and concluded everything in a MOSTLY satisfying way.

In the end I believe watchmen should be up there with some of the greatest shows ever broadcasted on tv and just give it a view years and people will be raving about it.

10/10

Great shows like Breaking bad or band of brothers are nothing compared to this masterpiece. Trust me this will go down In history as the greatest show ever made! And 10,000 episodes prove it.

I swear to you I am not joking!

Warning: Spoilers
Such a disturbing, tragic and captivating film that had me on the edge of my seat from beginning to end. It's so sad but powerful to see this poor man's life being destroyed until eventually he broke free and went mad. This movie had a lot to say about society and the way we treat others and Phoenix has got the Oscar in the bag I'd be surprised if he only got nominated. I wish it was longer.

Warning: Spoilers
Season 1 (10/10)- great storytelling, great casting, great acting, great score. Billy Bob Thornton deserved his golden globe as his performance was the best of the entire show so far. Episodes 1,3,4,6,8,10 were MASTERPIECES

Negatives-none :)

Season 2 (8/10)- great storytelling, reasonable casting, good acting and again great score. Keeps the show fresh and exciting and episodes 1,5,6,9 were MASTERPIECES.

Negatives- ufo WHY?, a few characters were boring and meaningless, weaker storyline than the first. Weakest season of the show but still really great television. Episodes 2,4,7,10 were mediocre

Season 3 (9/10)- strong storytelling, outstanding casting, good acting, and yet again great score. Better than season 2 Ewan McGregor was absolutely amazing so was Mary Elizabeth Winstead and it has some connections to the first season :). Episodes 1,4,6,8,10 were MASTERPIECES

Negatives- storyline was confusing, characters were brought in and then forgotten about and episode three had no RELEVANCE TO THE REST OF THE SEASON AT ALL!!!!!! Episodes 3,7,9 were mediocre

Final verdict- this show is one of my favourite shows of all time definitely worth a watch, up there with some of the best television, Definitely deserved its 3 golden globes and I can't wait for what they do with season 4. I recommend you watch this show 10/10.
