IL PIOMBO E L'ORO DEL PERDONO sociodramma del Parents Circle di Tel Aviv
The theme of sociodrama, directed by Ottavio Rosati (and filmed by Andrea Paciotto with a trailer by Silvia Giulietti) with Moreno Cerquetelli and Nicoletta Gaida, is the experience of forgiveness between Israelis and Palestinians. The event is promoted by the Dionysia Center for the Arts and Cultures with the Municipality of Rome and the Italian Development Cooperation of the Foreign Minister. The initiative aims to support and spread the activity of 'The Parents Circle', the Israeli-Palestinian association of 500 families who have lost a close relative in the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, but have chosen, starting from the experience of loss and of pain, the way of forgiveness as the only possible instrument of dialogue between the two groups.
The Sociodrama of the Parents Circle speaks of peace among peoples, of the pain of loss and fear to be exorcised. 'Pain is pain, both in Palestine and in Israel. We are a group of two nations, Palestine and Israel, which are proceeding together towards peace'. Thus tells Yamil Kassas, a Palestinian who lost his twelve-year-old brother killed by an Israeli soldier in a refugee camp near Bethlehem. Nir Oren, an Israeli who lost his mother in a suicide bombing on a bus twelve years ago, acts as his interpreter of the psychodrama roles.
The theatrical dialogue opens up to the universal language of music with the voice of David De Or and the music of Wisam Jibran. Fascinating sounds that involve the group and stop, in the hands that beat the rhythm, the joy of overcoming pain and anguish thanks to the encounter.
