Star Wars Droids: The Jawa Adventure
Well known Star Wars droids C-3PO and R2-D2 embark on a rollicking adventure when Jawas hijack an experimental Mon Calamari starship in this 6-minute CG animated fan film created by DAVE School.
Having given the auspicious impression that they are finally retiring, the spunky astromech droid R2-D2 has convinced the worry-prone protocol droid C-3PO to join him in assisting an eccentric old scientist named Von Bruneus with an experimental vehicle crafted from a decommissioned and modified Mon Calamari sentry cutter called the Max. After the unanticipated incapacitation of the doctor, the Max crashes safely on the desert planet of Tatooine where the droids ironically find themselves once more at the mercy of scavenging Jawas. A precocious and curious little Jawa named Skeetie proceeds to take the droids on a wild adventure that ultimately ends with a provocative revelation.
Star Wars Droids: The Jawa Adventure was created in anticipation of Star Wars Celebration VI by the June 2012 class of the Digital Animation & Visual Effects (DAVE) School. The DAVE School was created to consistently provide specialized career training in the art and science of computer animation and visual effects as it relates to motion pictures, television and games. The schoolÂ’s intense one-year program culminates with a three month final group project.
