How I rank the Pixar movies

by jonathan-e-denny | created - 26 Jun 2012 | updated - 13 Jun 2016 | Public

Pixar Animation studios is probably the one of the best Hollywood companies, if not the best, to this day. Not ONE Pixar movie is bad. Yes, some are worst than others, but I have liked every movie I have seen. So without further ado, I shall show you how I rank the movies. PLEASE NOTE: I personally take animated movies seriously. Most people look at these as "kid movies" but there is so much depth to them, that I cannot call them that.

In my opinion, this is the best Pixar movie. Many disagree, they like Nemo and Wall-E and Toy Story, but Brad Bird's Ratatouille is just beautiful. The Story is completely fresh, and its fabulous. The music is incredible, and everything from voice acting to animation to me just stands out beyond the other movies. Its funny, its sad, its dramatic, and makes you hungry. It's the Best.

Again, Brad Bird. The man just makes great movies. And this is James Bond meets superman meets family. Not only is the story so intriguing, but its so real at times. All the family interactions and husband and wife confrontations are so real. It has its funny moments, and its an "incredible" action film.

Votes: 979,318 | Gross: $289.92M

By far the funniest Pixar movie, and the cutest with Boo. Billy Crystal and John Goodman rule in it, and the story is so different and amazing.

4. Up (2009)

Votes: 1,125,509 | Gross: $293.00M

Okay, I'm going to bet shorter now, but this movie is more of an adult movie, and that is what makes it so breathtaking. Its just beautiful. First Pixar movie that I cried in.

A beautifully animated movie that proves you don't need a ton of dialogue to make an amazing movie. Just two robots in space.

The first Pixar ever made, and many say the best. But probably due to my childhood obsession with it, I don't like it as much as other. But its still boss!

Votes: 1,113,819 | Gross: $380.84M

So many people like this movie, and I do too, but thanks to some of my family members obsession with it, I have lost a lot of the love I used to have for it. But that doesn't take away that its a fabulous film!

9. Cars (2006)

Votes: 470,327 | Gross: $244.08M

This movie gets a lot of rap for not being that good, but I strongly disagree. The story in this movie is extremely fresh and exciting. And I still to this day think that the Academy Awards shot themselves in the foot for picking that stupid movie "Happy Feet".....which should be called more like "Humans stink"....

10. Brave (2012)

PG | 93 min | Animation, Adventure, Comedy

69 Metascore

Determined to make her own path in life, Princess Merida defies a custom that brings chaos to her kingdom. Granted one wish, Merida must rely on her bravery and her archery skills to undo a beastly curse.

Votes: 442,443 | Gross: $237.28M

Just saw this in Theaters and was very impressed. The Animation and especially the music. The story was new to Pixar, so I liked that element and a lot of the Mother-Daughter moments were extremely realistic. I left the theater saying it was in my top 5, but it hard to look back at the other Pixar's and put it in front of them...

This movie is extremely funny and cleverly written, but for some reason, I get bored sometimes watching it.....which is kinda sad...

12. Toy Story 2 (1999)

Votes: 218,134 | Gross: $191.45M

Yes. This is the worst pixar movie to date. But just because its the worst doesn't make it a Bad movie. It's actually a pretty good movie! But when you compare it to other ones, it falls short.
