Ukraine-born, Ukrainian-based filmmakers, filmmaker of the Ukrainian origin and those who made Ukrainian-produced films winning Oscars over the years.

1. Mstyslav Chernov

Unknown as a filmmaker until 2022 (but well-known as a photographer), Mstyslav Chernov, supported by his US producers, won 2024 Oscar for "Best Documentary Feature" Feature for his film "20 Days in Mariupol". Must watch!
