Nickelodeon has been a part of almost all of our childhoods but it’s safe to say that those memories are now tainted thanks to the documentary, Quiet on Set: The Dark Side of Kids TV. While many ex-Nickelodeon actors spoke up against Dan Schneider, Drake Bell is extending his gratitude to the producer for supporting him in his dark days.

Drake Bell is continuing to tell his story in the latest episode of ID’s “Quiet on Set: The Dark Side of Kids TV” documentary. Titled “Breaking the Silence,” the fifth episode, which aired on Sunday, April 7, began with Bell speaking to host Soledad O’Brien about what has happened since he came forward for the first time about being sexually assaulted by Brian Peck.
O’Brien specifically asked Bell, who spoke virtually from Mexico City, about Will Friedle and Rider Strong, two of the actors who wrote character letters for Peck in the 2003 case. The duo spoke about the decision to do so on their podcast, but hearing their comments didn’t change how Bell felt about that day in court, he said.

The Quiet on Set: The Dark Side of Kids TV directors plan to continue to investigate kids entertainment in Hollywood, even after dropping their latest bonus episode on Sunday with Quiet on Set: Breaking The Silence.
“We’re hearing calls for federal legislation,” series co-director Mary Robertson tells The Hollywood Reporter when talking about next steps. “At the moment there is no federal legislation that governs children who work in entertainment, or that regulates children working in entertainment.”
The bonus episode, hosted by Soledad O’Brien, delves deeper into the claims surrounding Dan Schneider and the Nickelodeon series he created and ran. The formerly prolific kids TV producer has faced allegations of abuse, sexism, racism and inappropriate behavior involving underage stars and crewmembers on his shows since the release of the two-part docuseries on March 17 and 18. (He responded with a 19-minute apology video.)

The Masked Singer Season 11 Judges’ Net Worth (Photo Credit – Instagram)
Fox TV’s The Masked Singer is a unique reality singing show where celebs compete against one another, but there is a fun twist. While performing, they wear fancy costumes and face masks to conceal their identities. The singing reality series is back with its Season 11, and the first episode premiered earlier this month. There had been a change in the judges’ panel this year as fan favorite Nicole Scherzinger did not return alongside Ken Jeong, Jenny McCarthy-Wahlberg, and Robin Thicke. Rita Ora has taken her place.
The fans were initially upset and worried about Nicole’s exit from the show. But it was later reported that Nicole was busy with the revival of Andrew Llyod Webber’s Sunset Boulevard in London’s West End. It began in September, which coincided with the reality show’s filming. As a result,...

Drake Bell revealed on the ID docu-series Quiet On Set: The Dark Side of Kids TV that he was sexually assaulted by former Nickelodeon dialogue coach Brian Peck.
The series also dropped the names of people who wrote letters of support for Peck, so the judge would consider them in the sentencing. Some of the actors that sided with the convicted abuser, according to the docu-series, included James Marsden, Taran Killam, Boy Meets World stars Rider Strong and Will Friedle, as well as Growing Pains parents Joanna Kerns and the late Alan Thicke.
In a recent interview, Bell said that as of now, none of the 41 people who wrote letters in favor of Peck have reached out to him to apologize.
“I haven’t gotten an apology, or a sorry, from anybody that had written letters or was involved in supporting him at all,” Bell said in an interview on The Sarah Fraser Show podcast.

Drake Bell shared that his Drake & Josh co-star Josh Peck has “reached out” to him, offering support after he revealed in Quiet on Set: The Dark Side of Kids TV that he was abused.
In the harrowing four-part ID docuseries, the actor-musician shared his story of alleged abuse by his former dialogue coach, Brian Peck, who was convicted of sexually assaulting a Nickelodeon child actor in 2004. Viewers have now learned that Bell, who was a minor at 15 years of age at the time, was at the center of that criminal case and conviction.
Following the revelations about allegations of abuse, some fans took to Josh Peck’s social media to criticize him for staying silent. After Bell’s stint on The Amanda Show from 1999 to 2002, he later starred alongside Josh Peck in the popular Nickelodeon show, Drake & Josh, for four seasons from 2004 to 2007.

Various actors and entertainment industry insiders wrote letters in support of Brian Peck, a voice coach and Nickelodeon actor who was convicted of child sexual abuse, as revealed in Investigation Discovery’s Quiet on Set: The Dark Side of Kids TV.
As explained in the docuseries that aired Sunday and Monday nights, Peck was arrested in August 2003 on 11 charges of child sexual abuse. He was sentenced to 16 months in prison in October 2004 and was registered as a sex offender. At the time, the identity of the child actor who was abused by Peck was unknown publicly, and the minor was referred to as John Doe in court documents. The majority of the records were sealed, with details hidden from the public. After nearly 20 years, the documents were unsealed for the documentary.
In the third episode of the series, Drake Bell came forward, revealing he was the child actor in question who was abused by Peck.

Big excitement while celebrating the small screen. Wednesday’s new episode of “The Masked Singer” was TV Night, and everything from the set decoration to the wardrobes to the editing and even song choices, was a celebration of all things TV.
Robin Thicke opened the show with a performance of the theme song for “Growing Pains” — which, obviously, served as a tribute to his late father, Alan Thicke, who famously starred in the iconic sitcom. It was a sweet moment made even sweeter by having Robin’s famous mom, Gloria Loring, in the audience.
Meanwhile, fellow panelists Jenny McCarthy, Ken Jeong and Nicole Scherzinger also embraced the theme with some TV-inspired costumes of their own (including Ken dressed up in a doctor’s coat and McCarthy decked out like Wonder Woman).

The October 5 episode of The Masked Singer kicks off with panelist Robin Thicke performing the song “As Long As We Got Each Other” in honor of this late dad, who co-wrote the catchy tune. The song was the theme of the long-running sitcom Growing Pains, which aired between 1985 and 1992 and starred Alan Thicke as psychiatrist Jason Seaver, who alongside his wife Maggie (Joanna Kerns) raises a family in suburban New York. The show ran for seven seasons and won two Emmy Awards. Thicke’s performance on the Fox competition is accompanied by a montage of old-school photos of Thicke and fellow Masked Singer members Ken Jeong, Nicole Scherzinger, Jenny McCarthy, and Nick Cannon over the years, which mimics Growing Pains‘ opening credits. Cannon calls the touching performance “an amazing tribute to America’s dad, and Robin’s dad, the unforgettable Alan Thicke.” Thicke passed away from a heart attack at...

And in the upcoming DC Extended Universe movie "Shazam!: Fury of the Gods," young Billy Batson (Asher Angel) is lucky enough to have a family of superheroes to have his back. However, it sounds like that comes with its own set of problems as well.

Johnny Carson signed off as the host of NBC’s “The Tonight Show” on May 22, 1992 after being the King of Late Night for nearly three decades. But Carson has never left thanks to DVDs and repeats on such nostalgia channels as Antenna TV and streaming services like Peacock, as well as YouTube. And even with such late-night hosts as Stephen Colbert, Bill Maher, Trevor Noah, Jimmy Fallon, who is the current host of “The Tonight Show,” and Jimmy Kimmel, none of them hold a candle to Carson.
While I was working at the Los Angeles Times, I talked to experts, filmmakers and even his nephew about what made Carson so unique.
“The thing about Carson is that he had all the exemplary skills needed for a late-night host,” Ron Simon, curator of the Paley Center for Media in New York. “Everyone that has followed has skills, but they don’t have every skill.

Patrick Carlin, a comedy writer and performer who was a major influence on his younger brother George Carlin, died Saturday at Kaiser Permanente hospital in Hollywood. He was 90.
Carlin’s death was confirmed by Kelly Carlin, his niece and daughter of George Carlin. George Carlin died at age 71 in June 2008.
“His uniqueness was that he was a philosopher and a tough mofo,” Carlin told Variety about her uncle, who was her father’s only sibling. She described Patrick as a protector of George during their years growing up in a tough Irish neighborhood on Manhattan’s Upper West Side.
“Pat was the street fighter and my dad was the jester,” Carlin observed. George Carlin dedicated a chapter to his brother in his postumously published 2009 memoir “Last Words, A Memoir.” The chapter was titled “The Ace of Aces, the Dude of Dudes.”
“He was my dad’s hero,” Kelly Carlin said.

Fox is going back to the drawing board. Jerry O’Connell is set to host Pictionary, a new game show based on the popular Mattel game that will get a four-week tryout on select Fox stations next month.
The broadcast version of Pictionary will follow the rules of at-home play of the game launched in 1985. Two teams of three will consist of two players led by a celebrity captain. One player from the team will draw images that depict a word or phrase found on a card chosen at random, in an effort to have their fellow teammates guess the correct word or phrase on the card. The grand prize winner will receive a trip to an exotic destination.

It’s likely that a lot of folks will always remember Joanna Kerns as Maggie Seaver since this was one of her best and most popular roles. It certainly wasn’t the only role she ever played, but for one reason or another it stuck and the on-screen chemistry she had with the late Alan Thicke helped it along since the two managed to work together in a very useful manner. But as one can see from her filmography, Joanna did move on from Growing Pains and managed to come up with quite a few roles that allowed her to expand her

The Group A finals concluded on Wednesday night’s episode of “The Masked Singer” with singer-songwriter Mark McGrath being unmasked as the Orca. The crooning sea creature made his debut in Episode 3, becoming the first wild card contestant in the history of the series and bumping the Racoon (Danny Trejo) out of the competition. Mark’s swan song was “Every Rose Has Its Thorn” by Poison.
Panelists Robin Thicke, Jenny McCarthy, Ken Jeong and Nicole Scherzinger were perplexed by the singing killer whale and none of them were able to identify the Sugar Ray frontman. Robin and Ken both thought Green Day singer Billie Jo Armstrong was behind the mask. Nicole guessed another rocker, Dave Grohl of the Foo Fighters. Jenny went a completely different direction, guessing professional surfer Kelly Slater.

Wednesday’s sixth episode of “The Masked Singer” had everyone reaching for the tissues as panelist Robin Thicke teared up remembering his late father, beloved Canadian actor Alan Thicke. Robin’s dad, who was perhaps best known for his sitcom role on “Growing Pains,” passed away in 2016 at the age of 69 after collapsing while playing ice hockey.
The tears flowed following the Orca’s performance of Poison‘s “Every Rose Has Its Thorn” midway through the Fox reality TV episode. The blue whale dedicated the song to his own father, who died shortly after Orca became a dad for the first time. Host Nick Cannon called the performance “powerful and emotional,” and the judges agreed.

“Jeopardy!” host Alex Trebek passed away on Nov. 8 and left behind an amazing legacy. We’ve compiled a list of nine interesting things you probably didn’t know about the longtime television personality from a new biography written by Lisa Rogak called “Who Is Alex Trebek?” out now from Macmillan Publishers.
He was a troublemaker in his youth
In his teen years, Trebek was sent to a Catholic boarding school after his parents separated. There, he was nearly expelled over disagreements with one of his teachers.
He nearly became a priest
In college, Trebek considered becoming a priest and went so far as to spend a summer at a Trappist monastery. But it was the vow of silence that changed his mind. He later said, “I’m not one to keep my big mouth shut.”
He’s a clean-freak
After quitting his job of 12 years at the CBC, he moved to Los Angeles.

Season 3, Episode 9 of “The Masked Singer” started out with a group song. Singing Jennifer Lopez’s “Let’s Get Loud,” everybody took to the stage and gave it their all. With lots of good performances, tonight’s Rhino stood out. With his tall frame, the hulking Rhino sang “Tracks of My Tears” by Smokey Robinson and the Miracles. His touching vocal interpretation resonated with the panel. But who is hiding behind the horned costume?

The clues seemed obvious. The voice-over stated the singer struggled with constant criticism despite much success and talked about his loyal college roommate. The roommate chimed in stating “he’s tough” but “a total softie.” He also mentioned that the Rhino was a surfer. Terry Bradshaw has apologized for “an insensitive remark” he made about Ken Jeong during the Fox upfront presentation Monday morning.
“I made an insensitive remark today about Ken, who I’ve known for some time. I’ve spoken to him about the importance of cultural respect and apologized for my offensive comments,” Bradshaw said Monday night in a statement first published by Variety. “I would like to also apologize to the Asian-American community for my insensitivity”
Bradshaw appeared at the Fox upfront presentation Monday morning in order to promote “Thursday Night Football,” but during some off the cuff remarks making fun of his time on “The Masked Singer,” the former Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback also called his network colleague, Ken Jeong, “the little short guy from Japan.”

Fox’s first upfront presentation as an independent network was overshadowed by a racially insensitive comment made by NFL Sunday host and former The Masked Singer contestant Terry Bradshaw.
He made the cringeworthy remark during onstage banter among NFL presenters tied to the Super Bowl. He referenced his stint on The Masked Singer, where he said he was “kicked off by Alan Thicke and the little short guy from Japan.”
While confusing The Masked Singer judge Robin Thicke with his late father Alan could be a slip of the tongue, there was no reasonable way to justify the comment clearly targeted at fellow Masked Singer judge Ken Jeong who is American-born of Korean descent.
The controversy spilled into the Fox upfront party where it was a main topic of conversation. By then, there was chatter that Bradshaw was calling Jeong to apologize.
That was later confirmed by an official statement from Bradshaw,...
