Thirteenth Floor Entertainment Group, the world’s largest Halloween-themed entertainment company, today announced the highly anticipated return of their hit attraction, “Delusion,” which will be making its return to the Los Angeles area this fall.
Running from now through November 19th on select nights, the historic Phillips Mansion in Pomona, CA, will be transfigured into a new ghastly interactive horror theater experience where guests become key players in a sinister and entangled hour-long interactive escapade. Tickets are on sale now and start at $89.99 on select nights.
“With 8 seasons of this incredible journey we call Delusion, all things have led to this year’s story. Rather, let’s call it a compendium!” said Jon Braver, Creator of Delusion.” I gave it much thought and felt an anthology of Delusion stories, woven together like a terrifying tapestry, into an epic live experience would be something both Delusion fans (aka Delusionals) and newcomers alike will revel in.

Delusion creator Jon Braver is back with Reaper's Remorse, the latest iteration of the popular Los Angeles-based immersive experience! This year, Delusion has a new location, a new story, and an open world concept that has me very excited to experience this for myself. One of my favorite things to do during the Halloween season is to go to haunted houses, spook alleys, and haunted mazes. I just have a ton of fun at these things, especially the independent ones outside of the big theme park haunted attractions.
I've found that with the independent Halloween horror experiences, they put a lot more heart and grit into the haunted houses that they set up. Today we have a trailer for a documentary that focuses on these hardcore Halloween fans. It's called Haunter: The Art of the Scare and it puts a major focus on some of the most extreme scare experiences, where they simulate peoples fears in the most crazy and intense ways. Here's the synopsis:
Haunters: The Art Of The Scare is a heart-warming and heart-stopping documentary about how family-friendly haunted houses for Halloween have spawned a growing subculture of extreme horror simulations. What...

“We really trust our audience,” says Delusion: Masque of Morality writer/director Jon Braver, and he’s not fucking around. Now in its third year, this Los Angeles-based haunt came out of nowhere to deliver an original mix of interactive theater and live stunt work unlike anything we’ve ever experienced.
You won’t find any mazes or monsters in rubber masks here. No cheap “boo” gags. Instead, groups of eight are taken in every hour, where they become participants in a story that guides them through a creepy building full of mad plague doctors and twisted patients. There are no passive observers in Delusion. You become a player who must interact with the cast and surroundings, retrieve objects, perform tasks, and run for your life. It’s the closest thing to living a horror movie.
Previous years have been set in a dilapidated mansion in downtown Los Angeles, but...

On October 11th, this writer (and his better half) visited the interactive horror play Delusion: The Blood Rite in Los Angeles, CA, and we both came away thinking, “This is the most entertaining, engaging, inventive, creepy, and downright fun, live-action horror experience I’ve ever had.”
You can quote me on that.
Produced by Jon Braver and Neil Patrick Harris through The First Interactive Horror Theatre Company and written and directed by Jon Braver, Delusion: The Blood Rite’s now sold-out run lasts through November 10th, and takes place just off the 10 Freeway and Western Avenue, in a hundred plus year old manse at 2218 S. Last year, famed Hollywood stuntman Jon Braver unleashed Delusion onto unsuspecting Los Angelinos. It was a unique hybrid between live theatre and a haunted attraction that sent you running for your life through a creepy mansion full of psychopaths and death-defying stunts.
The sheer ingenuity of it blew my mind and I was hoping that it would be the first of many annual haunts we’d see from this team.
Well wonders never cease because Braver has returned to the scene, teaming up with the great Neil Patrick Harris for a follow-up round of mayhem with Delusion: The Blood Rite. Stepping onto the site of the looming white mansion near downtown L.A., ticketholders are ushered into a Victorian style bar to suck down novelty drinks (tasty concoctions like “Blood Type-o” and “Gravekeepers Grog”) while they wait and are informed “not to touch the actors back.” That’s right: back.

That Los Angeles-based haunted attraction that was holding an open casting call earlier this month, Delusion: The Blood Rite, now has a trailer.
Produced by Neil Patrick Harris and Jon Braver, this interactive play is a follow-up to 2011's event.
The Blood Rite seeks to further Haunted Play's concept of interactive horror theatre through disturbing immersion, suspenseful storytelling and explosive stunt work. With The Blood Rite, Haunted Play will dive deeper into fear by requiring the audience to make terrifying decisions to further the story. They must collect items to help a mysterious woman trapped in a decrepit, diseased mansion realize a great plan.
Jon Braver writes and directs this year's show once again. For more info on Delusion, visit the official site.

Last October I traversed all the haunted attractions Southern California had to offer -- and the biggest stand-out was Delusion: an interactive play that puts you in the midst of some of the most jaw-dropping mayhem this writer has ever seen performed live.
We were wondering what creator/stuntman Jon Braver has in store for 2012, and now comes word that he's producing a follow-up for 2012 with none other than Neil Patrick Harris. Who knew Nph was such a haunted house fanatic?
Furthermore, auditions are being held in the L.A. area this weekend. Read on for complete details...

We at Dread Central are certified haunted house junkies, and we've covered an awful lot of 'em, but there's been a lot of buzz in the L.A. area about one attraction in particular: Delusion - a unique hybrid between a haunted maze and interactive play that promises something completely different from the norm. And they're not kidding around.
The best way to describe Delusion is if you were to spend a night trapped inside The People Under the Stairs. Arriving at a bona fide 100-year-old Victorian mansion, we were given an introduction setting up the house's sordid history as a mad doctor's experimental nut-house. Our group was then led into the foyer entrance where the doors were promptly locked behind us, and the hammer dropped: Turns out the lunatics are running the asylum!
If you're expecting a leisurely walk-through of a traditional haunted maze, think again. What makes Delusion...
