Rest your wallets, folks, there are hardly any new major horror releases this week. Instead we're getting mostly re-released Blu-ray and 3D Blu-rays. Really the only thing that's piquing our curiosity is RoboGeisha!
And if you are a gamer, soundtracks to your favorite zombie killing video games are now available for playing outside of the game consoles. Excited? Not even a little?
Clash of the Titans Blu-ray 3D
Directed by Louis Leterrier
Starring Sam Worthington, Gemma Arterton, Mads Mikkelsen, Alexa Davalos, Ralph Fiennes
If you hadn't had enough of this 2010 remake of Clash of the Titans (review) on Blu-ray DVD or in the theaters (review), this is your chance to get double- (triple-?) dip on the title with a Blu-ray 3D version. Or you can just relive it all on our Clash of the Titans page instead. Don't say we didn't warn you. If you don't already know, Clash of the Titans...

I can barely express my feelings over how clever and quite good this Youtube clip is - it mixes the Doctor Who theme tune with Soft Cell's Tainted Love while telling the story of a Dalek falling in love with an Earth girl. Got that? Here's the credits: Music by Magnus 'Doctor Hoover' Box Featuring the voice of Danny 'the Dalek' Farrent of the Buzzcocks Edited by Jessie and Julian Doyle Breaches copyright in several ways, but compelling viewing...

Aleister Crowley was a really interesting cat to say the least. But what if he had lived to see our modern times? What if he had access to the Internet? We're talking mayhem, that's what!
Anchor Bay's latest acquisition, Crowley aka Chemical Wedding, stars Simon Callow with the director's helm belonging to Julian Doyle, who also co-wrote the movie with Bruce Dickinson, the lead singer of heavy metal icons Iron Maiden. The flick will be seeing its home video debut on March 10, 2009, and I have to say that this one looks really interesting!

The special features are as follows:
Audio commentary with Writer Bruce Dickinson, Producer Ben Timlett and Director Julian Doyle The Making-of Crowley Deleted Scenes Theatrical trailer From the press release:
Aleister Crowley (1875-1947) was the most notorious occultist who ever lived. A man whose appetites for corruption, sadism, sexual excess, and moral degradation knew no bounds.

Bruce Dickinson's "The Chemical Wedding" is one of the best heavy metal albums of all time. The film he wrote that was somewhat based upon it, however, is changing its name from "The Chemical Wedding" to the more commercial "Crowley" for its U.S. release. Hitting DVD March 10 courtesy of Anchor Bay, the newly titled "Crowley" is going to marketed as a film about the legendary occult figure at the center of the film's storyline, Aleister Crowley. In the movie, written by Iron Maiden frontman Bruce Dickinson and directed by Julian Doyle, Simon Callow plays a professor who becomes the reincarnation of occultist Aleister Crowley. . .

The artwork and release dates for two anticipated films from Anchor Bay have finally surfaced over on Amazon; how fortuitous that you can just scroll down to the bottom and pre-order both of them through Evilshop!
First up on March 10th is Crowley, formerly known as Chemical Wedding. The film is the story of a mild-mannered professor who is taken over by the spirit of Aleister Crowley and does all sorts of nasty things around his unsuspecting campus, preparing to unleash the ultimate evil on the world.
You may recall that Crowley is the brainchild of Iron Maiden frontman Bruce Dickinson, who had the idea for the film knocking around in his brain pan for years before finally getting former “Monty Python” editor Julian Doyle to direct it. The results, from what I’ve heard, are mixed at best, but why listen to others when you can find out for yourself in a few months?...

• Fango got word that Anchor Bay will release Julian Doyle’s Chemical Wedding, under the new title of Crowley, in late first quarter 2009. Doyle also scripted the movie with Iron Maiden frontman Bruce Dickinson.
The movie stars Simon Callow as a Cambridge University professor who becomes possessed by the spirit of notorious occultist Aleister Crowley. Kal Weber, Lucy Cudden, Jud Charlton, Paul McDowell and John (Mirrors) Shrapnel co-star. Disc details haven’t been solidified, but we’re told there will be an audio commentary and behind-the-scenes footage. The Bay also alerted Fango that it’ll put the 20th Anniversary Edition of Hellraiser out on Blu-ray in April, with all the extras from the DVD. And the company’s cover art for Gilles Paquet-Brenner’s Walled In, starring Mischa Barton and set to hit disc March 17, has surfaced; we’ll have the specs on that one soon.

LONDON -- Julian Doyle's Chemical Wedding, penned by Bruce Dickinson, frontman for the heavy metal band Iron Maiden, has been nabbed by Warner Bros. for U.K. and Ireland distribution rights.
The film, billed as a supernatural horror thriller, wrapped principal photography Tuesday and stars Simon Callow as a reincarnation of Aleister Crowley, once dubbed "the most evil man in Britain."
Veteran Monty Python second-unit director Doyle is directing the picture, which centers on Crowley, a major Edwardian figure and a scandalous character brought back to life by a shy, stuttering Professor Haddo (Callow).
Focus Films' David Pupkewitz and Malcolm Kohll are producing with Ben Timlett and Justin Peyton of Bill and Ben Prods. and Duellist Film in association with Motion FX and E-Motion.
Andy Taylor, Rod Smallwood, Paul Astrom-Andrews and Peter Dale are executive producers.
Worldwide sales on Chemical Wedding are being handled by Cinema Management Group, headed by veteran foreign sales executive Edward Noeltner.
No financial details were available.
Pupkewitz said Warner Bros. also had a first-look option "on a slew of other territories" for the film should it decide to activate those rights.
