Exclusive: NBC’s Chicago Fire continues to heat up.
Season 12 will see the addition of Michael Bradway (Marked Men) in a recurring role, sources close to production tell Deadline. In his television debut, Bradway will play charming firefighter Jack Damon, making his first appearance in episode 10, I hear. He could potentially become a series regular next season.
Bradway’s casting comes as One Chicago continues to mix things up with actors exiting and new ones coming aboard. On Friday, we revealed exclusively the addition of Jocelyn Hudon, who has secured a role as a new paramedic. The new hires follow the departures of Alberto Rosende and Kara Killmer, who were with the firefighter procedural for multiple seasons, and Rome Flynn, following six episodes.
NBC recently renewed all three One Chicago series — Chicago Med, Chicago Fire and Chicago P.D. — for the 2024-25 season. Med was renewed for Season 10, Fire for Season 13 and P.

In an era of female empowerment, Hollywood is looking far and wide in an attempt to create role models and franchises for proper exploitation. The most recent non-super-powered entry in this field is Miss Bala, a remake of the 2011 Mexican film of the same name, starring CW darling Gina Rodriguez.
We take a makeup artist everywoman and watch her routine, not entirely satisfying life get upended by being in the wrong place at the wrong time. Along the way, she is terrified, betrayed, seduced, and ultimately woke. She goes from patsy to taking control of her destiny, finding the strength to do things she couldn’t imagine weeks earlier.
The problem with the film, directed by Catherine Hardwicke, is that we don’t develop Gloria Fuentes as a character to care about beyond a few perfunctory scenes before things go sideways. When she and a girlfriend, Suzu (Cristina Rodlo), are at a nightclub,...

Jane the Virgin star Gina Rodriguez stars in Miss Bala, the Catherine Hardwicke-directed English-language redo of Gerardo Naranjo’s hard-charging 2011 Spanish-language thriller. Columbia Pictures has set a February 1 release date for the film and took the wraps off the first trailer today.
Rodriguez, in the role Stephanie Sigman portrayed in the original, stars as an American recently arrived in Tijuana who is kidnapped by a cartel and drawn into the dangerous world of cross-border crime. She must use all of her cunning, inventiveness and strength she never knew she had to survive the ordeal. It’s a different kind of strength, to be sure, from what she exhibits on the CW’s flagship dramedy, but judging from this first look she is up to the task as she tightrope-walks between the gang and the feds, all with the singular goal of protecting her family.

Julia Roberts has had a fairy tale career, playing the heroine and good girl, but now, she's set to turn that reputation on its head in perhaps the most famous fairy tale of all.
The Oscar winner and "Eat Pray Love" star has been officially cast as the Evil Queen in a new film adaptation of "Snow White," producers Relativity Media confirmed on Tuesday.
The story won't be all mirror-mirror and frills and tiny dwarves, however. Relativity said that the movie "will eschew the traditional story in favor of a more modern tale full of comedy and adventure."
The casting has long been in the works, as it was reported in December that she was up for the role.
A truncated version of the press release from Relativity, via The Wrap, follows:
