A crowdfunding campaign set up to assist Lyndell Mays, one of the suspected shooters involved in the tragic incident at the Kansas City Super Bowl parade, has been taken down after it collected a mere $100 in contributions.
Mays, a 23-year-old resident of Raytown, Missouri, was charged with second-degree murder, unlawful use of a weapon and other offenses after he shot and killed a woman and injured over 20 individuals. Dominic Miller, another individual charged in connection with the incident, was also wounded in the chaotic event and is currently hospitalized. The initiative on GoFundMe, created by Mays’ mother, Teneal Burnside, aimed to gather financial support for Mays’ medical expenses, as stated in her message.
The family established the fundraising campaign prior to the filing of charges against Mays but concerns over potential repercussions led them to remove the campaign.

“It really is a fairy tale, an Oldenburg fairy tale,” says Torsten Ruether, speaking about his new movie Uppercut, “how this movie came together feels magical, somehow.”
Two years ago, Ruether was in Oldenburg, Germany’s leading indie film festival, presenting his debut feature, Leberhaken, a low-budget boxing movie with a distinctly Million Dollar Baby vibe: Newcomer Luise Großmann stars as a promising young pugilist who tries to persuade a disillusioned trainer (Hardy Daniel Krueger) to take her on as a pupil.
“We had the premiere, opening night, and at the party afterward a number of U.S. producers came up to me and said: ‘This is the kind of story American love. It’s been nearly 20 years since Million Dollar Baby. We want to redo this for the U.S.'”
Promises made over a few gin and tonics at an international film festival party aren’t usually the...

A&m/UMe celebrates the 30th-anniversary of Sting’s fourth solo album, Ten Summoner’s Tales, with a digital-only Expanded Edition released today. Originally released on March 1, 1993, the album title is a somewhat tongue-in-cheek mashup of the artist’s given surname, Sumner, and a character in Geoffrey Chaucer’s 15th-century literary classic The Canterbury Tales, the summoner.
The 27-track Expanded Edition features the original 12-song Ten Summoner’s Tales album plus 15 bonus tracks consisting of B-sides, remixes, alternate versions, and live performances (complete track listing included below). Eleven of these 15 bonus tracks were previously unavailable for digital download or streaming. Mixed by 4-time Grammy Award winning Robert “Hitmixer” Orton, the album is also available in Dolby Atmos. Listen to or purchase Sting’s Ten Summoner’s Tales – Expanded Edition Here.

Sting and Melody Gardot narrate a casual fling on their new song, “Little Something,” from Gardot’s newly announced upcoming album Sunset in the Blue.
On the duet, backed by Spanish guitar, Sting and Gardot describe a no-strings-attached relationship — “Don’t call me lover/stop thinking ’bout it, thinking ’bout it” — but one with plenty of passion nonetheless. The song was created with Sting’s long-time guitarist Dominic Miller and with French producer Jen Jis.

HollywoodNews.com: Sting played the Metropolitan Opera House last night with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, Branford Marsalis and Dominic Miller. The show was a success and then some.
Afterwards, at a reception on the Grand Tier, a man approached Sting and glamorous wife Trudie Styler (wearing a knockout floor length Valentino gown and an eye popping diamond necklace) and introduced himself as their new neighbor on Central Park West. “I’m Sandy Weill,” said the former head of Citigroup and American Express. The couples exchanged greetings. And then Weill told a story that anyone who doubts the power of celebrity and politics for a good cause will appreciate.
He said,”Your group was very upset with us.” The Police? No, the Rainforest Foundation. “We were doing bad things to the rainforests,” Weill said. Sting and his wife–the color drained from their faces for a second. Then...
