“Dancing With the Stars” and “America’s Funniest Home Videos” staple Alfonso Ribeiro will host new wildlife series “Jack Hanna’s Passport” from Hearst Media Production Group (Hmpg).
The show will not star wildlife expert “Jungle Jack” Hanna himself, but rather “take a fresh look at the most compelling stories from Hanna’s legendary career and his greatest past adventures across the globe.”
“Jack Hanna’s Passport” will air weekend mornings starting April 6 on ABC owned and affiliated stations across the U.S. during the “Weekend Adventure” educational/informational program block. Times vary by market, so viewers should check local listings.
Nominated for 15 Emmys and winning five, Hanna’s decades-long career in wildlife programming spurred from his background as a conservationist and his position at the Columbus Zoo and Aquarium in Ohio. A frequent TV guest of David Letterman, Hanna’s also authored several books, won many awards, and received multiple honorary doctorates.

As the Harlem Globetrotters nears its centennial anniversary, the trick-shot exhibition team is revving up for all-new bilingual TV programming.
In celebration of National Hispanic Heritage Month, Telemundo is set to premiere the all-new series “Harlem Globetrotters: Ganando Con La Comunidad,” a sister program to the Emmy-nominated NBC series “Harlem Globetrotters: Play It Forward” now in its sophomore season. Hosted by comedian and actor Craig Robinson of “The Office” fame, the 30-minute series will run weekly as part of NBC’s “The More You Know” and Telemundo’s “Mi Telemundo” slots.
“There are few sports-and-entertainment brands more iconic than the Harlem Globetrotters. We look forward to expanding the franchise to Telemundo this season, providing an even more diverse audience the opportunity to experience this inspiring show,” said Bryan Curb, executive VP at Hearst Media Production Group, which produces both Globetrotter programs.
And the team isn’t stopping there. Living up to its name,...

When Jai asked me to talk about my Gateway Score — the score album that really grabbed me as a child and convinced me that scoring films is what I Had to do for a living — I sort of froze at the thought of the assignment.
"A real composer would talk about John Williams, Jerry Goldsmith, or Bernard Herrmann," I thought to myself. "When everyone hears my pick (insert Adam Sandler's famous little-boy-sad-face here)... They're all gonna laugh at me!"
While I love action films and I flip out for science fiction on a pretty regular basis, I have always been the drama guy. I love a great drama, especially one that contains strong writing for the characters coupled by great performances. "Jerry Maguire" might be my favorite film of all-time, simply because of Cameron Crowe's ability to create characters of incredible depth which allowed each actor to carve...
