In 2016, Adult Swim debuted a one-off special called Mr. Neighbor’s House which starred Brian Huskey as the eponymous character who takes us through a delightfully demented sendup of children’s television programming tropes that isn’t exactly what it seems. On June 24th, Mr. Neighbor and all his wacky friends like Buddy the puppet, Miss Lady, and Chef Bread, are back for more shenanigans, as it was recently announced that Mr. Neighbor’s House 2 will premiere at midnight, and fans are not going to want to miss out on all the weirdness that awaits them.
Daily Dead recently had the opportunity to speak with Huskey, who discussed coming back for another Mr. Neighbor’s House special alongside fellow creators Jason Mantzoukas and Jesse Falcon, and how they found the balance between Mr. Neighbor’s surreal world and the real-life horrors of Huskey’s character’s existence. We also chatted...

Mr. Neighbor’s House, the Mr. Rogers-crossed-with-David Lynch late night comedy special created by Brian Huskey, Jason Mantzoukas and Jesse Falcon is coming back for a second special on Adult Swim, June 24th at midnight.
The first special in 2016 was selected as one of the best shows by the New York Times. Huskey stars as Mr. Neighbor a Mr. Rogers type, the host of a kiddie show as he celebrates his “31st annual fifth birthday party”, however, a meltdown ensues as we see he has a clear case of mommy issues.
In Mr. Neighbor’s House 2, Mr. Neighbor learns the importance of telling the truth. But only when he tells the whole truth can he open the Secret Door and save Neighborton. During this time he faces his personal demons, struggles to keep a grip on reality and tries to uncover a hidden truth. Huskey, Mantzoukas, and Falcon are also EPs with Rob Corddry.

Brian Huskey looks like the unassuming everyman. But that’s where his comedy lies.
Huskey, an original member of the Upright Citizens Brigade, has made a name for himself by playing average-looking guys with a dark core. That successful formula is on full display in “Mr. Neighbor’s House,” a twisted take on a children’s TV host that premieres Friday night on Adult Swim.
“I’ve always been fascinated by human struggle and insanity,” Huskey told IndieWire. “I’ve always found really dark stuff to be funny. I think a lot of comedians do. I realize for myself, because I do get cast in a lot of ‘everyman’ roles, it’s almost a source of pride for me to say, ‘I look like this, but I can do this.’ And this is what I get excited to express myself, through a darker explosion.”
Huskey is also a regular on TBS’ “People of Earth,...

One of the steps they are taking is to bring us new episodes of Samurai Jack. Earlier this year, Adult Swim announced the series revival would be coming, but this solidifies their plans, and there are a ton of other new announcements that Cn has revealed:
