Neil Breen, the independent American filmmaker and actor, is popular for his peculiar filmmaking. He has written, directed, produced, and starred in six theatrical feature films to date and has garnered a following that likes his low budget but interesting films. Breen usually uses stock footage in his films, and it’s been going on ever since he started producing the films.
The latest movie from Neil Breen, Cade: The Tortured Crossing, was released last year, and it sincerely looks like the 1980s full-motion video (Fmv) game because of how much it relies on Shutterstock images for the backdrops. Fans are both awestruck and genuinely curious to figure out how he is able to do it time and time again.

This was one entertaining debate on the relative value of higher education.
What was enjoyable was how this discussion on Magnum P.I. Season 5 Episode 18 took place both on a university campus and in the woods.
Thomas and Juliet fit relatively easily on a university campus, her on the academic side and him on the leisure side. Couldn't you see her giving a lecture and him at that toga party?
The case of the week was even somewhat topical, as they investigated allegations against a hotshot professor using his position to exploit ambitious female students.
Sure, Brody was a stereotype that has been repeatedly seen on TV. Fortunately, it turned out that more was going on than met the eye.
Nothing was easy for the P.I. couple in this case. It didn't make sense that Higgins couldn't do her usual hacking remotely. So they had to head back to school.

Katsumoto got to fulfill a fantasy.
Gordon, a closet foodie and amateur chef, showed off his knife skills while pursuing kidnappers on Magnum P.I. Season 5 Episode 13.
His foray into a restaurant kitchen was part of a case, as Juliet and Thomas had been hired by the owner of the ritzy Chez Aloha to locate Kanoa, his missing executive chef.
Milo, the owner, thought the kitchen staff might better understand what had happened to Kanoa.
But since Magnum and Higgins had recently dined there, they needed someone the staff wouldn't recognize to get them to gossip.
Poor Katsumoto. He didn't realize that the high-pressure kitchen environment which he had entered didn't lend itself to talking.
He was also quickly dubbed "Microwave" since new chefs at such restaurants don't tend to stick around very long.
Well, Gordie didn't. But that was because the investigation took a different direction, eliminating the kitchen staff as suspects.

Part of the reason so many people are avid physical media collectors is because of the special features. It's only natural to be interested in how the films you love were made, and to desire to learn more about the production. Within that group are people who just want more of the movie itself, so they patiently wait for extended cuts and pore over the deleted scenes to see the movie that could've been, rather than the one they got.
As the Blu-ray and DVD market has shrunk over the years, the quality and quantity of those special features have dwindled dramatically. Audio commentaries are now a rarity and behind-the-scenes featurettes amount to little more than surface level interviews with the primary cast and director that may not even run into double digit minutes in length. Extended cuts are often desired, but they rarely come to fruition. Even deleted scenes...

Let's hope that Magnum and Higgins keep away from marine life in this episode (and in the future).
After all, repossessing that stingray on Magnum P.I. Season 5 Episode 12 must have cost them money (not that that's something new).
The stingray ate all of the tropical fish in the La Mariana aquarium, which had to be expensive to replace. And how oblivious would Rick be not to notice the different fish?
Of course, Rick was so distracted over his possible date with Piper that maybe any lack of observation wouldn't be inexplicable.
The last episode's case scaled up quickly as Thomas and Juliet searched for the scammer who had ripped off Kumu's friend Ying, which grew into a matter of human trafficking.
The case on Magnum P.I. Season 5 Episode 13 promises to be less significant as the P.I.s are hired to find a missing high-end chef. (Let's hope it's a paying gig this time.

“It’s been a helluva ride!” would seem to be the consensus from the Magnum P.I. cast and writers weighing in on the island drama’s second cancellation, by NBC.
As reported late Friday, NBC — which stepped up one year ago to save Magnum after its CBS run got cut short after four seasons — opted not to order additional episodes beyond the second, 10-episode half of Season 5 (premiere date Tbd), given that cast options expire June 30 and no end to the Hollywood writers’ strike is in sight.

After five long years, the Transformers franchise is finally heading back to theaters with the release of "Transformers: Rise of the Beasts" on June 9. The new movie, which marks the seventh film in the franchise, stars Anthony Ramos ("In the Heights") as an electronics expert and Dominique Fishback ("Swarm") as an artifact researcher who both get unexpectedly thrust into "a '90s globetrotting adventure" with the Autobots and Decepticons.
"Rise of the Beasts" will introduce not only a new set of human characters but new Transformers factions as well, known as the Maximals, the Predacons, and the Terrorcons. These aliens can turn into robotic animals, and while we've seen these types of Transformers in the '90s "Beast Wars" cartoon, we're just now getting to witness them in live-action form. This midseason finale was disappointing because it was a missed opportunity.
The hit squad stalking Magnum, T.C., and Rick all season continued their long-awaited attack on Magnum P.I. Season 5 Episode 10.
Now, a midseason finale is a perfect time for a cliffhanger.
Instead, Magnum gave viewers a sudden conclusion to this storyline, with only one of the former three teammates remaining in jeopardy.
It felt like an insufficient payoff for committing half of the season to the show's one central storyline.
Sure, there was no miraculous save of Childs, who was killed in that explosion on Magnum P.I. Season 5 Episode 9, just when he was starting to be likable.
But, harsh as it sounds, Childs was the spare Hpd detective. Now that Katsumoto has been reinstated to the force, Childs is expendable within the Magnum narrative. Thomas and Juliet once again have their secure inside access to intel.

Stephen Hill is happy to be soaring in the skies above Oahu again.
That’s a bit of an exaggeration as Hill’s character, Theodore Calvin, is a chopper pilot on the NBC drama Magnum P.I.
But recently, he found himself up in the air as CBS canceled the series after four seasons, only to have NBC scoop it up about six weeks later.
In an exclusive interview, the cordial Hill said that he never doubted that the tales of T.C. and the rest of the Magnum gang would continue.
“There was something in me that felt so unfinished with this project and this character,” Hill recalled. “It felt unnatural not to be working on it. I also knew they were working on bringing it back behind the scenes. The fact they were even working on it gave us hope from the very beginning.”
And when word of the pick-up came down,...

Finally, an episode that shows Magnum and the gang moving forward.
For the first time in a couple of episodes, Magnum P.I. Season 5 Episode 8 embraced the hit-squad storyline, as it should be.
Thomas chased their only weak lead, the elusive harbormaster T.C. had asked about Greene, to a marina in San Diego. What an obvious place for a harbormaster to hide out!
Granted, Lewis Peele was a reasonably weak lead, knowing precious little about who hired him. "Brown hair" wasn't much of a description to go on.
And why didn't Magnum bring Higgins along for backup? He lucked out that the hit squad leader likely hadn't given Peele a second thought since his last call.
But Thomas couldn't have known that to be the case. Peele was a loose end that needed tying up. And he was stupid enough to use an Atm near where he was hiding,...

In The Resident Season 6, before Dr. Conrad Hawkins (Matt Czuchry) and Dr. Billie Sutton (Jessica Lucas) got together, both had other love interests: Dr. Cade Sullivan (Kaley Ronayne) and Dr. James Yamada (Ian Anthony Dale). But don’t feel too bad for them. After all, not only did James and Cade find something between them that is fun (and works!), but if the Fox medical drama is renewed for Season 7 — executive producer Andrew Chapman told TV Insider in January they didn’t expect to know until April or May — the hope is we see more of James. Dale looks back on joining the show in Season 6 and ahead to his hopes if it continues. You were a fantastic addition to the cast this season on The Resident and I hope there’s more and that we see more of you. Ian Anthony Dale: I had such a great time on that show.

Shammy is returning to Magnum P.I.
For those new to Magnum this season, Shammy is Kenneth Shamberg, T.C.'s mechanic and co-pilot at Island Hoppers.
He entered the Magnum gang when Rick and T.C. befriended the fellow Iraq War veteran on Magnum P.I. Season 1 Episode 6.
The paralyzed Shammy was depressed and ready to die. The teammates took him surfing and gave him a reason to live – their friendship and a job working with T.C.
Shammy appeared on 22 episodes during Magnum's four CBS seasons. He consistently found clever ways to help out on cases.
But as other recurring characters were reintroduced after the series' move to NBC, Shammy hadn't returned – until now. It's excellent that Shammy wasn't a budgetary casualty of the network switch.
Shammy puts his detective skills back to work in this exclusive clip from Sunday's episode. In it, Shammy rolls into La Mariana, hoping...

It's about time T.C. received another piece of good news in his personal life.
The surprise that was sprung on him on Magnum P.I. Season 5 Episode 7 qualified as good news, right?
Maybe that's still up in the air as he and his mother Verna have a lot of missed time to make up for.
Since the series began, T.C. has always had to be the adult among the former military teammates, bailing out Rick and Thomas time after time.
It's a wonder that he's been able to keep Island Hoppers afloat with all the time he's invested into those two and their problems/businesses.
Over the seasons, T.C. has built a life for himself outside of his chopper business and caring for his former squadmates.
He's taken in surrogate son Cade, forming a family. Also, he reconnected with firefighter Mahina, and their relationship also appears to be going strong.

Fans dearly miss The Vampire Diaries and its spinoff The Originals. With Legacies canceled and a fourth series yet to get greenlit, Tvd diehards are forced to revisit older material. But one Vampire Diaries Season 5 plotline might have even the biggest fans reaching for the remote to skip ahead.

But now that enthusiasts are taking to social media to discuss their series rewatches, the reaction is somewhat different. It feels like closure.
It was an exciting, emotional, and heartfelt finale with The Resident Season 6 Episode 13, and it carried a finality to it that still has fans equal parts content and reeling.
Join Laura Nowak, Meaghan Frey, and Jasmine Blu as they discuss how the season finale tied up all the loose ends.
What was your immediate reaction to the season finale? Did it feel like a series finale for you, and if so, are you content with it?
Laura: It felt very much like a series finale to me. I could live with that as the end. I wouldn't mind another season if we keep the heart of the last two episodes.
Meaghan: It definitely felt like a series finale. Everyone was left in such a great place on both personal and professional levels. If this really was the finale, I would be happy this is how we left this amazing team.

Between high-stakes cases and moral and ethical conflicts among the characters, the hour felt more like old-school The Resident than it has in some time.
We got the return of Conrad, the Bad Boy of Chastain, with an assist and push from Aj on The Resident Season 6 Episode 12. And our beloved characters nearly all found themselves weighing what the greater good is and entails.
The storylines and all the characters were balanced well too.
This would have served well as the first part of a two-hour finale, but the split may not have been so bad.
Unlike The Resident Season 6 Episode 11, where there wasn't much momentum built, and it was hard to say where the finale could've possibly gone or what it would've explored, this installment is enough to hook you for an exciting finale.
And while we still don't know how the season's final installment will play out, there...

Governor Mark Betz (Steven Culp) is probably going to wish he’d been a lot nicer to Dr. Kit Voss (Jane Leeves), Dr. Randolph Bell (Bruce Greenwood), and Chastain in the penultimate episode of The Resident Season 6. As you can see in TV Insider’s exclusive sneak peek of January 10’s “All the Wiser,” he ends up a patient in the ER. Devon (Manish Dayal) and Feldman (Tasso Feldman) are the first doctors to start meeting the patients of a helicopter crash. Cade (Kaley Ronayne) and James (Ian Anthony Dale), then Conrad (Matt Czuchry) and Billie (Jessica Lucas) arrive to help — they’ll need everyone — but Feldman has one of the best lines of the season when he remarks, “it’s like musical chairs around here.” After all, until the previous episode, Conrad, Cade, Billie, and James were together. Conrad and Devon meet the next ambulance, carrying the pilot, and...

[Warning: The below contains Major spoilers for The Resident Season 6 Episode 11 “All In.”] If we had to describe where The Resident goes with Dr. Conrad Hawkins (Matt Czuchry) and Dr. Billie Sutton (Jessica Lucas) after that fall finale kiss, it would have to be “inevitable.” But don’t feel too bad for Dr. Cade Sullivan (Kaley Ronayne), who does find out what happened between her (ex-)boyfriend and his late wife’s best friend — she might not be alone for long. Upon returning from visiting her father, Dr. Ian Sullivan (Andrew McCarthy) in rehab, Cade admits she lied about where she was to Conrad. To her surprise, he’s not upset, just focused on what means for her and her dad. But that’s also because he has his own confession to make: “I haven’t been honest with myself or you, about my feelings for Billie.” She asks if something happened. “I kissed her,” he says.

As much as we love television, not everything makes the grade.
It can be difficult when a show we love betrays its characters for the sake of drama or when certain aspects feel phoned-in.
From awful characters, overly traumatic plotlines, terrible episodes, and more -- sometimes we have to call it as we see it.
The Orville: New Horizons Season 3 Episode 4 - "Gently Falling Rain" (Hulu)
Of the numerous problematic plot lines The Orville introduced, the Planetary Union's interactions with the Krill are the worst.
Specifically, Captain Mercer commits mass murder aboard a Krill ship, then unknowingly becomes emotionally and physically involved with a Krill spy, and then tops it off with some general war crimes.
As if that wasn't enough, the writers somehow thought adding a child to the mix was a good idea -- one born of Mercer and Teleya's relationship before she was revealed to be a Krill survivor of the Yakar.

After that fall finale, it looks like The Resident has reached a turn in two doctors’ lives that has been pretty much inevitable since a love triangle was introduced in Season 5. Following Nic Nevin’s (Emily VanCamp) death, the Fox drama jumped forward a few years, and by the end of Season 5, it had set up a new love triangle for her husband, Dr. Conrad Hawkins (Matt Czuchry). There was Nic’s best friend, Dr. Billie Sutton (Jessica Lucas), to whom he had become close as well, and new doc Cade Sullivan (Kaley Ronayne), with whom he’d been working side-by-side in and (with the Go Team) out of the hospital. When Season 6 began, we learned he’d chosen Cade, though he also didn’t know that Billie was even an option at that point. But for every time we saw Conrad and Cade as a couple (and for all...

Join Laura Nowak, Leora W., Meaghan Frey, and Jasmine Blu as we break down the fall finale.
Do you think Ian is genuine in wanting to make amends with Cade? Should this storyline end here, or do you expect more from it?
Laura: I'd like to believe it, but I'm still skeptical. I'd like to see him pay some consequences once Conrad or Kit learns the truth or prove that his relationship with his daughter meant more than his career.
Leora W: I think he thinks he's genuine, at least in those last moments, but backsliding is such a thing. And before that, I didn't believe that he was.
The ship many have been waiting on Finally came to fruition on The Resident Season 6 Episode 10, and they set the internet on fire and each other with that smoldering kiss.

And with that Fall Finale, the countdown until the next installments begins!
You can say The Resident Season 6 Episode 10 left some fans on the edge of their seats with that Conrad and Billie kiss and poor Padma on the edge of a ledge, so to speak, and we'll have through the holiday season to process what's next for the Chastain crew.
The hour also saw the return of Kyle and his reunion with a granddaughter he hadn't seen in five years. Oh, wherever does one begin with all of this?
Let's dive into the Kyle portion of the hour. It was great to see Corbin Bernsen back in the halls of Chastain, and we definitely need this update for the character.
But why did it have to hurt this badly? It genuinely sucked to learn that he was so deep in his grief that he blamed Conrad for Nic's death...

[Warning: The below contains Major spoilers for The Resident Season 6 Episode 10 “Family Day.”] There were more lows than highs in The Resident fall finale, which left us quite worried about a few characters. To recap, starting with the most harrowing: Billie (Jessica Lucas) is attacked by a patients’ sons after she dies following complications of a very risky surgery, but Conrad (Matt Czuchry) saves her. Padma (Aneesha Joshi) ends the episode standing on the edge of a bridge. Cade (Kaley Ronayne) isn’t sure whether to believe her father Ian (Andrew McCarthy) that he’ll make up to her what he’s done because of his addiction. And when Conrad brings Billie home at the end of the day, they kiss! Showrunner Andrew Chapman breaks down that ending and teases what’s ahead. Of course we have to start with that kiss. How did you decide when that would happen and how? Andrew Chapman: That is a complicated question.
