Image created by “Shutterstock.AI” Let’s face it: While Speed was a great movie, the abominable sequel, Speed 2: Cruise Control, pretty much ended everybody’s desire for the franchise to continue. Well, with the possible exception of Keanu Reeves, who told the 50 Mph podcast he would love to work with Sandra Bullock again, potentially on a Speed 3 if the circumstances — and the script — were right. (Reeves notoriously turned down the first sequel because he was unhappy with the script.) Bullock has also spoken of her desire to co-star in a film with Reeves again. When we spoke to her in 1994 about working with Reeves for the first time on Speed, Bullock talked about how the tone of their relationship was set early on. Sandra Bullock is one of the most respected and well-known celebrities in Hollywood. With a lengthy career in various genres and mediums, she has created a reputation as a successful and talented actress. When it comes to celebrities as high-profile as her, it is only natural that every aspect of their lives, public or private, will be carefully dissected by the world. This is especially true when it comes to their romantic lives.
Sandra Bullock in Ocean’s Eight (2018)
Long before his rise to fame, Ryan Gosling was involved with Bullock. The pair dated for two years, until they ultimately split up. What many might not know is that their relationship was seriously condemned by many because of the age gap between the two stars. The actress was thirty-seven at the time, and Gosling was just twenty-one.
Interestingly enough, Bullock actually spoke up about their age gap, as well as the criticism she was getting.

Jan de Bont’s action thriller Speed is considered to be one of the best in the genre. Moreover, the chemistry between Sandra Bullock and Keanu Reeves was the equivalent of a cherry on top. The romance is a slow burn as the characters keep the audience waiting for something to happen between the two but it isn’t until the very end that Annie and Jack share a passionate kiss.
Jan de Bont’s Speed (1994).
However, this didn’t mean that there wasn’t a spark between the two as they held on to their dear lives in the speeding bus. They do share a few moments of eye contact here and there and as per Sandra Bullock, this really helped the two to build a connection before their big kiss; something which she hilariously dubbed as “foreplay.”

Thirty years on, stars Sandra Bullock and Keanu Reeves have said they’d be interested in making Speed 3. “We’d knock it out of the park,” Bullock enthused.
It’s almost exactly 30 years since director Jan de Bont made the corking action thriller Speed – better known to Homer Simpson as The Bus That Couldn’t Slow Down. All these decades later, the film’s co-stars, Sandra Bullock and Keanu Reeves, have expressed their interest in making a third film – though the way they talk about the prospect suggests they may not be entirely serious.
The pair briefly talked about a possible Speed 3 on the 50Mph podcast, as picked up by The Hollywood Reporter. Bullock immediately sounded keen on the idea, saying, “We’d freakin’ knock it out of the park.”
Reeves concurred. “It does feel like there’s a siren call to it,” he said, “like there’s something that wasn’t done.

Keanu Reeves and Sandra Bullock might be down for Speed 3.
The Speed stars stopped by the 50 Mph podcast to discuss the 1994 action-thriller, alongside their fellow co-stars Jeff Daniels and Alan Ruck.
When asked about a possible threequel, the Matrix star said, “I mean, you know — we’d freakin’ knock it out of the park.” Bullock chimed in, saying that she may be up for it, “Before I die, before I leave this planet, I do think that Keanu and I need to do something in front of the camera. Are we, you know, in wheelchairs or with walkers? Maybe. Are we on little scooters at Disneyland?”
Reeves echoed her sentiment, adding that it can’t be forced, despite their seeming interest. “It does feel like there is a siren call to it, like there’s something that wasn’t done,” he said. “I would love to work with you again before our eyes close.

It’s been thirty years since Keanu Reeves and Sandra Bullock starred alongside one another in Jan de Bont’s classic action thriller Speed, but the pair are game to reunite for Speed 3.

Given the success of the first movie, the studio was keen to get a sequel off the ground, but only Bullock returned for Speed 2: Cruise Control, which was a notorious bomb in just about every respect.

Keanu Reeves is more than confident that he and Sandra Bullock could pull off a third “Speed” movie. Jan de Bont’s action thriller “Speed” became the fourth highest-grossing movie of 1994 with $350 million worldwide, largely in part due to the sizzling chemistry between Reeves and Bullock. The film turned the two actors into one of the decade’s iconic screen duos; they reunited onscreen in 2006 for the romance drama “The Lake House.”

The ‘90s were a glorious time. That may be a bit of a generalization, but for the purposes of reflecting on the power of Hollywood at the time and its willingness to back mid-budget, practical action films, we’re choosing to cast a halcyon glow over the era. One of the standout films from this genre and time period is “Speed,” which celebrates its 30th anniversary next month. In honor of this milestone, Kris Tapley recently spoke with the film’s stars, Keanu Reeves and Sandra Bullock, for his “50 Mph” podcast dedicated to excavating “Speed” lore.
“I just remember a vehicle full of really kind and fun people,” said Bullock in reflecting on the making of the film. Commenting on its success — grossing 10 times its budget, winning two Oscars, and becoming regarded as one of the best action films of all time — Bullock added, “It was unexpected. Diana Prince aka Wonder Woman has, no doubt, been one of the most favorite characters from the DC Universe, and nearly everyone who has played her to date has been widely loved in the role. One of the actresses who played her was actress Lynda Carter, who turned out to be so greatly endearing to both fans and critics that she is closely identified with the character to date.

Being widely regarded as the most accurate Diana Prince, she gave her opinions on who the next person could be to carry on the superheroine’s legacy. Surprisingly enough, she was reported to have called Sandra Bullock “too old” for the role. However, Carter later on not only debunked these reports but also claimed she had even vouched for the actress to play the DC superhero.

Hugh Grant was one of the quintessential rom-com leading men of the 90s among the likes of Richard Gere and Leonardo DiCaprio. He was a popular heartthrob who managed to impress fans with his natural charm and his nonchalant humor. His roles in Four Weddings and a Funeral, Notting Hill, Bridget Jones’ Diary, and Love Actually made audiences swoon in the 90s and early 2000s.

Another one of Grant’s popular films was 2002’s Two Weeks Notice where he was paired with Sandra Bullock. The duo had met five years prior and they had discussed working together. But Grant made a pretty bad impression on Bullock by narrating what he calls a ‘disgusting story’, which led to Grant not hearing from the actress for over 3 years.

Even though Sandra Bullock has nailed it classically in multiple other roles, one of her most real dramas was in none other than Speed. Not only was the masterpiece widely commended by critics and general viewers alike, but it is also regarded among some of the best performances to date from the film’s three prominent leads, i.e., Keanu Reeves, Bullock, and Jeff Daniels.
Speed (1994).
Surprisingly enough, even though the action-thriller later granted them such impeccable fame in their respective careers, there was a time when Daniels almost turned down his iconic role. However, thanks to a series of fortunate turn of events, not only did he end up starring in the film, but he also took an unlikely inspiration from the late Roy Scheider in one Steven Spielberg movie!

Whether it’s comedy, romance, action, or presenting a more serious character, actress Sandra Bullock has demonstrated her versatility across various genres. Despite delivering numerous standout performances, she has acknowledged not all her films have met the standard, particularly sequels like the 2005 comedy film Miss Congeniality 2: Armed and Fabulous.

The actress has candidly expressed regret about her involvement in this sequel, which has since become one of the worst movies of her career. However, despite the negative reception surrounding the sequel, she had one positive aspect of working on the film, having the opportunity to work with the great Regina King.

Fans of Yellowstone still have months to go before the Paramount Network hit returns with its last batch of episodes, but we have a TV anniversary to celebrate in the meantime. HBO’s 2004 series Deadwood, another small-screen Western, turns 20 on March 21. Created by David Milch (NYPD Blue), Deadwood was set in the titular South Dakota town, with Timothy Olyphant playing the real-life sheriff Seth Bullock and Ian McShane playing the real-life saloon owner Al Swearengen. All 36 episodes of Deadwood are streaming on Max — as the 2019 follow-up, Deadwood: The Movie — and we reckon it’s high time for you to pay that town a visit, especially if you like Yellowstone. Here’s why. 1. Deadwood also tells a tale of greed and crime in the West, set around the time of Yellowstone spinoff 1883. As Deadwood starts, it’s 1876, and the namesake community is a lawless mining camp overrun by misfits and criminals...

On March 21, 2004, HBO introduced audiences to the frontier outpost of Deadwood, where the Timothy Olyphant and Ian McShane series ran for three seasons. Fifteen years after its premiere it was revived as a standalone movie on the premium cabler. The Hollywood Reporter’s original review of season one is below:
David Milch, executive producer of NYPD Blue and, before that, Hill Street Blues, has spent years looking at society from the perspective of those who enforce its laws and impose order. His new series, Deadwood, imagines a world without law, a world ruled only by the conscience of individuals, many of whom have none. The result is a Western unlike most others. It is brutal, passionate, heroic, tragic, blanketed by coarseness and always fascinating, though some times morbidly so.
Although it would be just as solid a drama if it were cut from whole cloth, Deadwood is deeply rooted in historical reality.

Anne Hathaway and Sandra Bullock appeared together in 2018’s heist comedy movie Ocean’s 8 directed by Gary Ross. The movie was the fourth installment and a spin-off from Steven Soderbergh’s Ocean’s series. The ensemble cast also included Mindy Kaling, Cate Blanchett, Sarah Paulson, Rihanna, Helena Bonham Carter, and Awkwafina alongside Hathaway and Bullock.
The power-packed female-led movie received a positive response from the audience upon its release. It was however stated at the time that the movie wasn’t as smooth as its predecessors but the cast and their chemistry together blended well enough for the audience to enjoy. During the promotion of Ocean’8, the cast came across a host whose comments sickened the actresses.

Last year, Sandra Bullock lost her partner of eight years, Bryan Randall, to Als after a three-year-long battle. Said to have been soulmates by her close friends, it’s safe to say that the loss of Randall took a heavy toll on the actress. But per an insider, one of her closest friends, Keanu Reeves, is reportedly trying to find his Speed Costar love again.
While reports suggest the Miss Congeniality Star is yet to overcome the loss, which is reasonable considering it has only been seven months, an insider revealed that she is ready to love again.

For the fourth consecutive year, we’ve got a firecracker of a Best Actress Oscar race. Lily Gladstone took home the Screen Actors Guild Award on Saturday for “Killers of the Flower Moon” over Emma Stone, who had been on a roll since the two won their respective Golden Globes, having pocketed the Critics Choice and BAFTA Awards for “Poor Things.” Now they each have an industry prize and Best Actress feels like a coin-flip. Gladstone has closed the gap on Stone in the Oscar odds since Saturday. Don’t be surprised if she overtakes the top spot soon. But when the SAG Awards and BAFTAs don’t align in Best Actress, which one has the edge at the Oscars?
Since BAFTA became an Oscar precursor 23 years ago, the Brits and the actors guilds have disagreed 13 times in the category prior to the Battle of the Stones. But not all splits are created equally.

In 2006, a movie came out starring Daniel Craig, Sandra Bullock, Sigourney Weaver, Jeff Daniels, Hope Davis, Isabella Rossellini, Peter Bogdanovich, Gwyneth Paltrow, and Toby Jones. That’s a murderer’s row of talent bringing to life writer/director Douglas McGrath’s script — and very few people paid it much mind. But “Infamous” was a victim of bad timing, not bad filmmaking.
One can’t blame audiences for greeting it with a collective shrug. McGrath’s movie tackled the exact same topic as the previous year’s “Capote” (the movie that earned Philip Seymour Hoffman his first and only Oscar): Truman Capote’s time spent researching and writing his true-crime classic “In Cold Blood.” After the buzzy release of “Capote” and months spent in awards season campaigning mode, no one was ready to revisit the subject.
What a shame, because “Infamous” restores much of what was missing from Bennett Miller...

The world's many Starwoids will likely be able to tell you that Boba Fett's costume was originally conceived as the armor for an elite squad of Empire Stormtroopers that were to be called Super Troopers, an army that was to be featured in the 1980 "Star Wars" sequel "The Empire Strikes Back." The documentary film "Under the Helmet" has early test footage of the Super Trooper armor, and it was originally meant to be flat white. It turns out, sadly, that "Empire" didn't have the budget to build the 100 Super Trooper suits they wanted, so the prototype suit was painted maroon and olive and given to the bounty hunter character Boba Fett. The suit was worn by actor Jeremy Bulloch.

“Look at where we are right now,” states former Montana Gov. Steve Bullock of the divisions in America and the disinformation war that has reached an even higher pitch three years after the violent assault on the Capital. “About three weeks ago, polling said a fourth of Americans think that the FBI actually incited January 6.” the one-time presidential candidate says incredulously. “We have 171 election deniers in the House, a third of the overall members of Congress.”
To Bullock’s point on this day of the New Hampshire primary, polls also show that a significant swath of Americans are weary of a re-match between Joe Biden and Donald Trump. Starring Bullock as a semi-fictional Potus, War Game, a film debuting right now at the Sundance Film Festival, worries about a possible and bloody consequence of a disputed 2024 election that could make January 6, 2021 look like a tame rehearsal.

Hollywood star Sandra Bullock has honoured one of the final wishes of her partner Bryan Randall. In an Instagram post, chef Gesine Bullock-Prado revealed that her actress sister had released her late partner’s ashes on Snake River in Jackson Hole, Wyoming.
“Happy birthday, Bry. Sandy brought you to the river, just as she promised,” Bullock-Prado captioned a serene video of the scene, reports People magazine.
Bullock’s longtime partner died on August 5 from Als, a diagnosis he kept private for three years, his family said in a statement at the time.
A model-turned-photographer, Randall met the Oscar winner, 59, in 2015, when he photographed her son Louis’ birthday at the time.
As per People, they took their relationship more public that year, including an appearance at Jennifer Aniston and Justin Theroux’s wedding.

Everyone loves a real-life triumph story. The perseverance of the human spirit to overcome any obstacle put in its way. Someone put in a bad situation but they push themselves past it and accomplish their dreams. Yes. We all want it. It makes our hearts go pitter-patter. Whether we like to admit it or not we drop a few tears in the darkness of the movie theater and feel a little lighter as we walk out the doors back into our real lives. One story that had people in amazement was the story of Michael Oher. A young child who was left to his own survival would be taken in by Sean and Leigh Ann Tuohy who pushed him to get his life on track and helped him achieve the impossible and eventually become not only a college graduate but a highly paid NFL football player.

Sandra Bullock partially made her career off of action films like Speed and Demolition Man. Although the genre treated her well enough, she wasn’t always sure if it was designed for female actors to thrive in.
Sandra Bullock felt action films did women a disservice in the 2000s Sandra Bullock | Axelle/Bauer-Griffin/FilmMagic
Bullock believed the action genre became even less accommodating to female actors as time went on. Ironically, she herself experienced her breakthrough role opposite Keanu Reeves in Speed. This led to a bit of a career winning streak for Bullock that saw the Oscar-winner return to the genre a couple of times.
In 2002, she starred in the darker action thriller Murder by Numbers. Perhaps what intrigued her the most about the feature was the character she ended up playing. She felt the role was a callback to characters from another time that all but vanished in the new millennium.

"Suits" creator Aaron Korsh pulled from his own life when crafting the show, which enjoyed success during its USA Network first run and has been blitzing Netflix this year.
In an interview with Nerdist back in 2014 (when "Suits" was in season 4), Korsh detailed some of his inspirations. He cited a scene in the pilot, where Pearson Hardman junior partner Louis Litt (Rick Hoffman) fires an associate in front of newly-hired protagonist Mike Ross (Patrick J. Adams). It turns out that this "associate" was a) actually a mailroom worker, b) in on the act, and c) not truthfully fired. Louis does this trick to put the fear of God (or at least the Sword of Damocles) in the firm's new employees. Korsh got this character-building moment from a fraternity trick back in his college days at the University of Pennsylvania:

October (and even September) have been chock-full of appropriately scary horror movies for spooky season, and the weekend before Halloween introduces one more. Read on for Gold Derby’s box office preview.
Those looking for the next big horror franchise need not look much further than Universal and Blumhouse’s “Five Nights at Freddy’s,” an adaptation of the popular multi-platform video game first introduced in 2014.
